    I am on day 3, and am wondering about my reaction to the laxative tea. I am using the Smooth Move in the MC package I bought online from your shop. I react to it a lot quicker than 6-12 hours, after about 1 hour I can really feel it working, and the last to nights I have BMs 2 hours after drinking it. Last night I had to get out of bed 3 times to go toilet, that was after going 2-3 times before going to bed. I drank it around 9pm, was going to bed at 10pm. But ended up having to stay up a little longer as I felt the effect of the tea.
    I have read your book and can't seem to find anything about this there. I am measuring my drinks, and not consuming anything except from that, pure water, the salt water flush and the Smooth Move tea.
    Should I dilute the tea with water? As i would really like a full nights sleep!
    except from that i am doing really well, day 2 and 3 hasn't been as hard as expected, probably because I am very motivated. I normally eat a very healthy diet (I am Norwegian, and a Scandinavian diet is nothing like a standard American diet), I have always had very regular BMs, and eat a diet with a lot of fiber from raw fruit and veg.
    The salt water flush seems to work according to the book, it takes effect after about 20 minutes and really works.

    Seriously though, I've done Andreas Moritz' Liver & Gallbladder cleanse oodles of times and it's really easy peasy!

    Like the MC, I would suggest you get the book, read it cover to cover THEN do the cleanse. It really makes you understand how and why of your liver and the cleanse, which really helps.

    The prep for the cleanse is only 6 days with various dietary points of note, followed by a morning of cleansing, starting the night before.

    It is very precise so you really need the book. I got mine ever so cheap on ebay.

    I chose to precede my MC with the Liver Cleanse since I reasoned it is the organ that will be dealing with my toxins the most. That's its job isn't it?! Well it must have done loads of good because I feel on top of the world and have only minor headaches, few pimples and fleeting moments of nausea and fatigue. Like the last one, but in a microscopic way!

    Thanks everyone, for the great support. I honestly didn't know what I was going to do until I woke up this morning. I have three grandchildren coming tomorrow for a sleepover! Not the best time to do this - it will be my break - fast day. So between how I was feeling yesterday, and my Friday plans, I seriously thought of breaking my fast today.

    I woke up feeling so much better. Yesterday was a huge detox day for me! Pain in my side, and in my back - sooo tired. Plus, without tmi forthcoming, my hormones are all screwed up and my cycles are doing weird things. That's an age thing.

    Anyhow, I am going to finish up - today is my last day, day 10. I made it! I knew I'd be so mad at myself quitting one day short. Just glad I feel I can really do this last day, and still be ok to play Grandma tomorrow.

    Hi Inge and welcome!

    When the tea seems to work too well, the answer is usually just to steep it less time and/or drink less of it.

    Diluting it with water won't help if you drink the whole amount, because then you're still getting the same amount of tea. However, diluting it and then drinking half the glass will result in your drinking less of it.

    I'd say start by steeping the tea about half the time you currently do. If that doesn't work, keep experimenting until you find the time or amount that works best for you. We all certainly want a good night's sleep!

    Congratulations on making it to day 3! I suspect things in general will get easier from here on in.

    Good Morning! Start of day one for me - doing the SWF and it helps to read all the posts while I struggle to get it down! lol I am sure I want to do this even though my birthday is Friday I am going to stay in and celebrate after the cleanse is over......hopefully in a few weeks. I'll check back later so have a great day everyone! Oh, i do have a question, do you make individual drinks or a larger supply? Thanks

    Day 25. I broke past my weight plateau with a big ol' 2 lb. loss yesterday, as hoped! I feel GREAT!! and motivated!

    Hi tsan, I usually make individual drinks because I'm home most of the time. If I know I'm going to be out running around for a while I squeeze in an extra drink before I head out the door. Good luck, hope all goes well!

    I reacted to the lax tea the same way on my first MC! It kept me up all night. I really hated it. I couldn't understand the people who couldn't do the SWF and would actually drink that tea again in the morning!

    2 solutions - don't steep it as long - cut it down to half the time, and don't drink it till you are no kidding about to go to sleep.

    After about 5 days I managed to get the timing down and get a full nights sleep. Funny - now, when I do it, I can steep it all day long and I don't react to it so strongly anymore.

    Day 4 - and feeling pretty cocky this morning... Till I was dropping my teen off at school and a kid in front of us got out of his car and dropped his bottle of diet coke. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I wanted that so bad - and I haven't had a diet coke since last fall!

    I've certainly had diet coke cravings since I gave it up this year but I can usually stifle it with some iced tea (no artificial sweeteners of course). But I can't have that right now! Waaah. And I know it's addicting to me - just one sip and all seems right with the world, my whole body just relaxes. It can't be the caffeine, heck one sip hasn't had a chance to get into your bloodstream to wake you up yet. I figure it's the aspartame. Anyhow, I gave it up because I would drink it all day and I wouldn't even drink water and I had to have it when I got up in the morning. And I never could just cut back - one diet coke and I'd end up with 12 cans by the end of the day.

    And I wont drink the fully leaded sugar coke. Why trade one bad habit for another. So I feel soda deprived - especially when it seems to be all that's offered at social events, soda or alcohol.

    Luckily, I went home, drank more lemonade, and now I'm feeling pretty good again. I think I may be over the start up hump now - knocking on wood....

    yeah, me neither

    Sounds like I need to get a food dehydrator. One of my big SAD weaknesses is wanting salty crunchy stuff - chips, crackers, pretzels. Sounds like I might be able to substitute stuff like this - and get more veggies in me at the same time!
