Cool Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

Day 2 for me! I’ve been really weak and tired. Usually the first 3 or 4 days are pretty good for me, but this time is proving to be very different. Day 1 for me was interesting, I slept all day…then slept all night. WOW, usually if I fall asleep during the day I cannot sleep at night, so that is a first. I hope this doesn’t continue. Also have a mild headache, but that is OK cause I’m trying to kick my short lived coffee habit. So far today is going good, a little tired, but I feel better today.

    Good luck everyone!

I'm on day 3, and for whatever reason, i feel absolutely amazing. (Relatively speaking, of course!) Yesterday was in general a low-energy, 'meh' sort of day; i woke up today feeling great. The SWF was easier, thank god; yesterday i thought it might be my undoing! And i worked all day; made my boys homemade meatloaf (i'm a veg, so that wasn't too hard) and now i'm getting ready to wind down with a nice cup of tea. But as i've read here, every day is a new adventure, so ask me again tomorrow To everyone out there: keep it up! I'm a newbie, and i'm determined; and i'm thinking that determination is really the difference between success and failure.

I'm on day one and it's good so far but I'm really BORED!!! I have so-so energy but stayed home all day just in case I was gonna be tired. But without eating I realize how often I must eat out of pure boredom. Kinda depressing.
The good news is this time I gradually weaned myself from caffeine before the cleanse and used the pantothenic acid to help me before the cleanse so I wouldn't have a caffeine withdrawal headache and it worked! Yay me! No headache at all today. The first Master Cleanse I did I just jumped in without thinking of caffeine withdrawal and had the worst headache of my life on day one! I actually cheated and had half a cup with some Advil that time because I felt like my head was gonna expode.
This time was way better! I have had about 9 lemonades so far today and will probably have one more, plus the tea before bed tonite.
Meant to go for a walk but never did, will have to get moving tomorrow...

Day 3 today! Not a good day so far, but I know this is one of those detox days so I'm just going with the flow. I feel so bloated and gross today....plus I have a headach. Ugh, can't wait for day 3 to end, cause it only gets better from here. I've been sleeping alot which is really weird because during all of my pervious MCs I could not sleep. Lack of sleep was always my cause for ending my fast, usually stopping me around day 11, the longest I ever went was 20 days and I was just so sleep devrived that I stopped 10 days short of my goal so I'm hoping that all this sleep is a good sign of a long fast

Is anybody else tired of snow and winter yet? LOL

Tomorrow I'm going to a Valentine's party / bbq where there will be lots of yummy food. I know the hosts will be disappointed (and confused) that I'm not eating, but I had already planned this cleanse before they planned their party. Looking forward to my broth on Tuesday night, some fresh veggies on Wednesday night, and then on Thursday I'm flying to Arizona for a week. All meals will be in restaurants and I'm mostly looking forward to some awesome dark green salads! I'll pencil in the tacos toward the end of the month - yeah!

Have your cleanses helped your food allergies? How about other allergies? A friend here (the one hosting the bbq tomorrow) has severe allergies to smells and I'm wondering if this could help her. She's always been very skeptical about my cleansing so I think I'd have a hard time convincing her that it could help her, but if I had some "testomonials" from people specific to allergies it might help. She already eats quite healthy, hardly drinks at all, and is 65 and pretty tiny.

I've been a bit AWOL from this thread and in the foodie thread.

I didn't have food allergies (that I knew of) before cleansing. The cleanse kind of nudges me about foods I shouldn't have instead of forcing foods that I like. For instance raw whole milk is a good food for a lot of people but I can't do milk, no way no how. Grains are a biggie. I love bread. Give me a loaf of bread and a slab of butter and I'm one happy camper - but I have grain allergies and I'm sure of it. Again, the cleanse free's me and I have to face the fact that bread is a no no for me for the most part. I seem to do a bit better with Whole Foods organic pumpernickel. But I'm the type that if the Organic Pumpernickel isn't around but some other bread is, I'll eat it. It's a huge learning curve and I'm still learning. With each cleanse I learn more and do a better job of taking care of myself.

    You're done. Hows it going?

Unhappy Re: 2010: What day are you on and how are you doing?

Day2 for me and it's pretty bad this time. I'm doing ok as far as not eating food is concerned. But I just got hit with mega-allergies. My left eye is constantly watering, I'm sneezing, and just extra congested. My head is fuzzy and I can't concentrate on work. I've been sitting at the computer all day but I'm just not sure I've actually done anything. And it's all making me just plain depressed!

After the last cleanse, I realized I had stopped taking allergy meds completely. Just didn't need them. Still sneezed now and then but not bad. Lately, they've been coming back a little...so I figured a new cleanse would keep it at bay. But instead they are on overdrive today - hopefully that's a detox symptom?
    MC1 - 10 days, MC2 - 11 days, MC3 - 11 days, MC4 - 16 days, MC5 - 23 days, MC6 - 5 days, MC7 - 11 days, MC8 - 24 days, MC9 - ?

    Hey Res -

Thanks again for your support. Day two of OJ - still delicious. My veggie broth is just about ready and I'm SO excited! I love how the first tastes of things are so intense and I appreciate the flavors and the food so much. I try to live like that every day, with every meal, but sometimes it's mindless eating, which I continually try to get away from.

    How's your post-cleanse going?

So, how do you know you have grain allergies? What signs did you get? Just curious how you know, so maybe I can be on the lookout for things I should stay away from.

    Thanks,
