Day 10 My body has thinned out (5 pounds), my headaches and "brain fog" are gone and my tongue has only a little white fuzz.... considering extending to a 14 day or even a 20 day cleanse...I'm still waiting to hear Angels sing...lol I don't feel very grounded - more scattered - but lighter and cleaner. I'm hoping a few extra days will help me feel settled.

Well I am just finishing day 10. Went out and bought my oranges and stuff to make broth, so I am all set for tomorrow. This time around has definitely been different for me. I haven't really felt the great affects from the cleanse that I normally do. My tongue didn't get to pasty, my sense of smell didn't really increase, didn't see much difference in weight loss, still a bit of brain fog, yet overall I was very energetic and not very hungry. I am confident that my body still did experience many benefits, just not in the usual way. One thing I did different this time around, which I think made a HUGE difference, is that I was able to make the drinks fresh each time, and drank a lot more water.
Well, I'll be off this post now and heading over to the other one "after cleanse" tomorrow. Looking forward to being off the salt water...might just do a laxative tea tonight and tomorrow instead. Thanks everyone for all your posts. It was fun doing the cleanse with everyone.
    Be Blessed!

Good for you to keep going if you don't feel like you're ready to quit.

    Hey beautiful people!

Day7 is almost over: thank God!!! Seriously, it was a real one... Started last night with some "real" insomnia... then when I woke up from my night of sleep (which for me was from 8am to 2pm), it was a real hang-over... I felt like crap to whole day! I forced myself to drink 9 LA, lots of water... BUT I WANTED TO EAT SO BADLY!!!!! even though I'm nausiated, have heartburns... am so tired... and can't think clear... Couldn't do anything good today... was crying for no reason, lack of interest... depressed... A REAL ONE!!!

Anyway... I'm gonna go bed early tonight: I know it's all gonna be good after the SWF tomorrow... and that's a GREAT thought!!!

Let's change the world, one detox day at the time!!!

    Love light and detox days!

You're handling it well and you have a great attitude. Take a hot bath and soak for about 20 minutes. Throw in 2 cups of epsom salts. It's magical.

End of day 15! I am done I spent the last 4 days at sea on a Navy ship and still some how satyed on the MC. I have lost 18 pound started a 238 and now am 220. I got the vita-mix from UPS today and am all set to break the fast and eat healthy!

If a guy addicted to beer, chewing tobbaco and chicken wings can do this any one can. Thanks for all your support!

WOW! I'm so proud of you! Way to meet your goal! You should check out the Lemonhead recipe box (http://therawfoodsite.com/forum/show...?t=101&page=25).

I'm rather partial to beer too. I can do chicken wings...but I'm not a chewing kind of girl.

    Again, WAY TO GO!!

    Well - I didn't quit. Day 17 at a close.

Really trying to separate my personal life from my cleanse life. Doesn't really seem to be working -
but that being said I am still in the game.

I shoot tomorrow from 8 am until almost midnight. I'll have to wake at 4:45 a.m. for my SWF.
I have a break between my first and second shoots but not much of one.

I -hate- premaking LA as I feel strongly about fresh being best - but tomorrow every single one of my
LAs is going to have to be a premade. Maybe I'll go sauna after my last shoot to compensate.

Nervous - but also looking forward to the big weight loss I seem to have after every big shoot day.

You are all doing an amazing job. I'm so excited to see people doing so well -
especially some of you new cleansers. You're rockin it.

    Sleep well everyone.

Wonderful! The inches mean so much more than the lbs.!! Good work ~ hope to see you on the BB later this year!

About the water, I just don't know how you guys drink so much! 100 oz. of water (half my body weight)+32 oz. SWF+60 oz. in LA=a gallon and a half in fluids a day!
Part of me wants to continue on the cleanse past day 10, but part of me is REALLY ready to eat again.
But wait!! You're still going to do day 10, aren't you? You're almost there! This is your first cleanse, and it would be a shame not to see it through. Your alternate diet plan sounds like a great thing to do after the cleanse....I do hope you try one last day, plus the oj and then the veggie soup - before going into your new plan...and about the water - 2 comments - I have heard (but not had it substantiated - that the upper limit is a gallon of spring water per day. I can say from personal experience that the first two days of trying this are the worst - you feel like a walking fishtank and can actually hear the water sloshing around in your abdomen when you walk. And then, suddenly, your body adjusts!! Not only can you tolerate that much, but you actually start CRAVING that much water. The only trick is having easy bathroom access. Good luck in whatever you decide to do...and good luck with grad school, too.

Thanks, I will try it tonight before my nice epsom salt bath. My bristles are softer than what you describe.

Sorry about that - sometimes we just wait for someone who HAS an answer to answer. People who don't feel they have anything useful to say, just let the question pass by, which was the case with me for this question...but since no one else has answered TWICE - here's my 2 cents. I never break the fast with rye crackers or any other wheat product, as wheat is a common allergen for many people due to its overuse in the SAD diet. What Burroughs says is, "Rye wafers may be eaten sparingly with the soup, but no bread or crackers." (p. 26) Rye crackers are ALLOWED, but NOT RECOMMENDED. I figure if I have gone 10..14...21 days without eating something crunchy, I can go a few more. If I REALLY want something crunchy, I put waterchestnuts in my soup. Sorry that my advice is not what you wanted to hear - but at least you know you're not being ignored!

I went to the party. I was not dressed up, as I was running late today. I had already told one co-worker that I was not drinking alcohol, so when the others asked I just expanded on the "clean-living" theme, and told everyone I had not had any coffee or alcohol this entire month....there was some discussion on that, but it blew over when we started discussing different versions of martinis. I thought I might be able to get out of there without having to lie about having a date, but then they ordered food. It smelled so good!! Cajun garlic fries, sauteed mushrooms, calamari (I thought of you, Meedis!) and best of all fresh ciabatta bread with a veggie sour cream dip. It smelled great, but I didn't want anything except the bread. I might have stayed, but then they started urging me to eat, so I said, "no, I really can't stay...I have a date, and I have to get home and get ready for it." EVERYone was instantly fascinated by WHOM I was dating (this is a small town) and especially since they knew I had my heart broken last October (read all about it in last year's "what day..." thread...even more depression/crying jags than this cleanse! Yippee!) At any rate, out of there now...was there for about 45 min. The funny thing is that NOW I have completely changed my mind about that pub - because the FOOD smelled so good! And also because when I walked in, I saw that a friend of mine was working there! I am convinced he is responsible for turning the atmosphere and the menu around!
