First ever Yoga workshop today. Wish me the muscke strength to get through it! I don't really feel 'weak' I have lots of energy - but the larger muscle groups kind cry when I do to much - like walk up too many stairs... Hopefully it wasn't a mistake to sign up for this on top of the cleanse.

so - if GALFROMAUS is 'posted the northern hemisphere' and is from Aus (Australia?) do we have another continent to add to the family this week? Amazing reach of this program...

Lynda - I do understand your pain - but 40's? no snow? wanna trade?

Cathy & Susie - I've seen many folks supportive of small amounts of Maple Syrup outside the LA as well as varying the amount of it in the LA... I think Burroughs states that it can be midified, however the lemon juice should not. I'm certianly not an expert by any means - but I feel like I've studied this board pretty well in the last two weeks kinda like my college courses but with no written final!!

May your day be bright and warm - even if it's only in your heart!
(becasue if it snows ONE more DAY here - it won't be the lemonade defense or PMS defense I use at trial it will be the abominable snowman defense!)
You should be just fine with your workshop. Drink lots of water, bring your LA and really listen to your body. That's what a workshop is all about. I still practice on the cleanse but I've been practicing for almost 9 years. I can easily do a 1.5-2 hour power/ashtanga practice. That said, everyone is different. You should feel like jelly when you get home which is such a good feeling. Make sure you take an epsom bath tonight. It'll help with residual soreness tomorrow. Well, I'm off to kickbox and get a little kundalini yoga in to mix things up a bit: so to speak

And I am reaping by far the awesome results of this detox. I have finally emptied my system of its built-up mucous. The runny nose disappeared as suddenly as it came. The coughing has subsided. A burst here or there, but all dry, no more phlegm. Eliminations are no longer solid and/or bulky, for the most part. Maybe a flaky floater here or there, but mostly liquids out.

If I didn't already schedule some necessary appointments for this coming week, I would really consider going for another 4 or 5 days. I really feel great. Looking forward to slowly breaking this fast come Monday morning. Organic Orange Juice, Organic Apple Juice, and One organic apple will be Monday's menu. We need to SLOWLY get the system into digesting foods once again.

    Happy Cleansing, All!!
Congrats on staying so strong through all of that!! You're doing great!!

I must say that I feel a MILLION times better after the SWF this morning!! It was maybe 10 minutes after I finished drinking it that I felt my first urge and ran to the bathroom. I was stuck on the toilet for AN HOUR! For the first three days my eliminations were almost completely liquid. But not this morning! It was this lumpy, liquidy, solidy type that had a horrible odor. No wonder I felt so nasty this morning when I woke up!!

After that, I am so very happy that I decided to do this cleanse! I still have a slight headache, but I've noticed that I've already lost weight (hubby and I don't have a scale, but I can see the difference), the bags that I thought were under my eyes permanently (I'm only 23 and the bags were horrible) are almost gone! Even though I have yuckmouth still, I'm scraping my tongue and swishing peroxide for 5 to 10 minutes a couple times a day to deal with that.

On another note, there is a Master Cleanse group on facebook that I joined, and recently found a post about a guy who's doing the cleanse from that website that gives you all the wrong information!! I posted the link to this forum, and told him that THIS is where he can get the true, accurate information on the cleanse! I hope he takes my advice and checks it out.

I made a batch of 4 cups of lemonade for a long car trip yesterday and made it with 1 T less of Maple Syrup and then licked the last T of Maple Syrup straight out of the measuring spoon. OH WHAT A TREAT. Is that considered cheating? I also had a piece of gum in the car that was mint and sugarless. Is that cheating? My car was filled with kids munching on food for 4 1/2 hours and I finally HAD to put something in my mouth! Did I cheat? Could the gum and the Tablespoon of Maple Syrup be the reason that I am not successful this morning after 2 SWFs?
Hmmm... I wonder why your SWF didn't work. It might kick in sometime today so don't be surprised if it does. It's happened to me before.

I posted last night about a friend using a bogus website and he crumpled yesterday. Day 5 for him. People really need to watch their sources and just do the cleanse the way it is written. It's not that hard really in terms of directions. SO many bad sources of information out there and sites claiming to be master cleanse sites.

The funny part was that my DH was in the bathroom with me and I didn't want to alert him to my......mishap.....so, I just kept singing in the shower---with emphasis when I needed to be louder than the drain!!

This is D8 for me. Not sleeping well, but I'm sure that toxins are being dumped into the bloodstream causing this. Other than that, I'm doing well. Okay, it's time for a shower. Maybe I'll take some TP in with me!!
YEAH! I am not alone! I am screaming laughing over the point about you singing louder to cover it up! Pure genuis!! The thing is. It really cannot be helped. The swf brings about a sense of urgency like nothing else I have ever experienced. When you have to go there is no time to get anywhere fast. I normally carry around a pair of clean underwear in my purse just in case there should be an accident during the day. It doesn't happen often but it has happened.

    Happy cleansing!!

Good Question GreyFox!! I just wrap my other half in plastic wrap to keep the air off and help it stay fresh.

Hi Lahontani! I am sorry to say your your understanding of the grades of is wrong! This is information I took form Wikipedia:

In the United States maple syrup is divided into two major grades: Grade A and Grade B. Grade A is further broken down into three subgrades: Light Amber (sometimes known as Fancy), Medium Amber, and Dark Amber. Grade B is darker than Grade A Dark Amber.

The grades roughly correspond to various times within the season when syrups are produced. U.S. Grade A Light Amber are early-season grades, while Grade B are late-season grades. Typically #1 Extra Light and Grade A (especially Grade A Light Amber) has a milder, more delicate flavor than Grade B, which is very dark with a robust flavor.

It takes approximately 40 litres (10 gal) of sap to be boiled down to 1 litre (1 quart) of syrup.

And this is what Burroughs says about it in his book (page 17): "The end of the season brings mostly Grade B, with even more minerals and stronger maple flavor. All grades can be used in the diet but the darker grades are the most desirable. The grading system is based purely on the relative deepness of the amber coloring and has nothing to do with the quality of the syrup."

I hope this clears up any misinformation!!

ha ha ha ha, um no... I don't want to trade. By the end of this week we will be in 70 degree weather for a high. I get cold easily anyway and when I am on the cleanse, way more so.... but I have my sweats and coat on and am sitting in my office totally fine. What IS killing me is one of my office managers and her husband and son are meeting me here and I bought them a smorgasboard of food and it is next to me and smells so freaking good I could die.
one of the items is a french toast that is brioche bread rolled in corn flakes and filled with peanut butter, banana and apple wood smoked bacon and then deep fried. It's heaven, I have had it before.
NO, It isn't the way I normally eat but I ventured. So I got that for her and a ton of other stuff for her family. Kill me now..... I guess I'll make a lemonade.

Starting day 9 today and feel great. This morning a 0430 when I was sleeping I passed gas only it was still in liquid form . Needless to say after shower and doing laundry I has to explain to my wife what happened (we sleep in different beds).

Like they say stuff happens and the day is still looking good.

So, I drank the laxative tea this morning before beginning my day of 'lemonade'.......... I haven't had any elimination at all yet though. Is that abnormal? Is vomiting up the salt water unusual?
    Greetings PrincessKelly

Sorry to hear about your BAD SWF experience Vomiting up the SW is not unusual. You will find several posts from other Lemonheads with the same experience. Use this MC thread for information about the SWF: http://therawfoodsite.com/forum/show...2&postcount=14

The herbal laxative tea (LT) is intended to help the lemonade and cayenne pepper in the agitation process of the intestines. LT stimulates the muscle contractions in the intestines. The SWF speeds up the elimination process and rinses the colon. I hope you are using the light grey celtic sea salt. Try using a straw and stir between swallows. YOU can do it!

Do the SWF if at all possible; however, if you find you cannot continue with the SWF, replace the morning SWF with a LT.
