Cold leamon juice! Just kidding. It is unfortunate that your feeling blue, DETOX in action, get it out. And you indeed have my sincere sympathy. Remember the only thing in life we have direct control over is our thoughts, to change the way you feel change the way your thinking. (Go watch the Secret a couple of times as well, it reminds us to be "mindful" of our thoughts..........)

As A rule it is very bad to chew gum on an empty stomach, let alone while it's REALLY empty during a fast. As a consolation, when resuming eating, chewing after a meal can indeed be helpful as an aid to digestion.
This is great. Thank you for the info!

AAWW, I feel so bad for you... cold tea bags that you steeped first, or a cold compress or cucumbers that are chilled (no wait, don't cut up cucumbers!!)
Watch something or listen to something that makes you laugh, you need to laugh right now so you can stop the crying and then you can put the compress on to get the swelling down. I admit, it's great that we have the ability to put on some concealer to help with it a bit. But I would rather see you smiling and laughing , no one will even notice any bags that might be left if you have a HUGE smile plastered on your face. I read somewhere that you need to go to the mirror and put a huge smile on your face, because it's impossible to stay upset once you do that and eventually it trickles down to how you feel. try it!

This particular time it's not detox in action - though - I am SO grateful that I am cleansing right now because I deal with difficulties and bad news so much better when my mind is clear - and it is never more clear than on a cleanse.

Just received some pretty difficult (devastating really but we are using more positive words lol) new this morning.

Sounds like your suggestions apply, though, either way. Detox or not.

    I appreciate it.

Ha ha. No Lynda - cucumber smell would PROBABLY kill me lol. Let me smell popcorn, dinner cooking down the street or my favorite pizza - I can handle that. A cucumber would probably make my head explode lol.

Thank you for replying. The tea bags are a good idea. That I will try. The problem I get that concealer doesn't take care of is my eyes swell really bad when I cry. (You're jealous, right?) Crossing fingers for some reduction with tea bags.

Maybe, if the people I am shooting tonight DO make me cry - they will think twice about being jerks simply for the sake of being able to next time. I'd be okay with being the crying subject that teaches somebody that lesson lol.

OH. Why do my eyes have to SWELL. Gah.

    Thank you both!

but just look at this board and see how many of us keep coming back again and again and again....there's a reason for that, which you might not get to learn unless you STICK IT OUT !![/QUOTE]

Thanks needed to hear this. I apprecite immensely. And it is amazing what a couple of hours can do during this process, I am feeling much different now. I had thought I was through my low point and the feelings were going to continue, but I guess I had just reached it at that point.
I never realized how much of an emotional journey this would be. The MC cleanses more than your digestive system and inside body, it can cleanse your soul if you allow it. And I think that is what I was fighting.
And to add to that I now have to just surrender to the process since we are in the middle of being snowed in and I have not bought my oranges yet.

Well, for the first time, my teeth are killing me. I am using Tom's of Maine for sensitive teeth but just started that today. I also switched to drinking through a straw and rinsing my mouth with water everytime I take a drink. UGH! I don't want to have to end this because of my teeth! Does the toothpaste take a few days to work? I did not have problems with my teeth the last cleanses. Well, I'll just try to deal with it. Anyone been through this. I think I'm doing the only things I can do.

I'm on day 1 and this is my very first cleanse. Most of the day was fine. I really wanted something at about 3pm, but my personal cheerleader talked me through it. But now I have a headache and I'm home and not as busy, my husband is trying to be supportive by making supper for the kids but I'm starving and really want to eat.

I even think I might do some light training for a run I'm doing in February!

I keep hearing that if I can get past today it will be downhill the rest of the way, so I'm gonna push through and try to keep myself busy!

YAY! I wondered how you were holding up.

My hubby is a chef - he works for a law firm here in Boston. So not only does he cook outrageously delicious food all day - he comes home smelling like it, too! I thought I was going to try to eat his jacket last night! LOL. Although he is wonderfully supportive of me on this cleanse, I'm not sure that he understands what I'm going through or going to go through. I think I'm going to point him to this site so he can get an idea. When I tell him I have PMS (which sucks - I get the PMS but 90% of the time I get no period), he slowly backs away, offering me a bottle of wine or some cookies as he does so! LOL. It usually works, but I can't have either one now.

I'm on my 5th 12oz bottle of the lemonade so far. I didn't get as much in yesterday as I would have liked, so I'm going to attempt to sort of compensate for it. I feel like I'm pregnant again with as much as I've been peeing.

I'm not sure how to multi-quote the messages here (I can navigate forums excellently, but I rarely ever use them to this extent, lol), so any advice on that would be helpful!

I'm off to bathe and soothe my poor bum. Thank you all, again, for your wonderful words of encouragement and support. It's great to know that there are people out there who are doing the same thing I'm doing and are either going through what I'm going through, or have gone through it and survived with all loved ones intact!! =)
Oh god, a Chef in the house. Well, I certainly feel for ya! On one of my cleanses one of my son's moved back home for a few months. I was worried because the kid had to eat, but he was a big boy and could make his own food. I remember sitting still and rigid the first few times he cooked and then I decided to just breath deeply. It was amazing! I used that at work today when someone brought food in that smelled divine. Oddly you can feel satisfied just smelling the food if you adjust your thoughts about it. It's worth a try. You're a Saint for cleansing with a Chef in the house.

Is that acceptable??? (don't think I have lost any weight either!!)
I also don't feel like I am peeing enough....so I am drinking more plain purified water during the day -- I am drinking 80 oz of lemonade a day...

The swf is brilliant because it normally cleans you out for the day. That's why I love it - no surprises. You may need to up your water if you're not peeing enough or you may be fine as long as you keep drinking water and the min 6 lemonades. Everybody is different. I'd like to have your problem.
