OMG. I have to share this. I wasn't actually on the "master cleanse" to make this happen but a couple glasses of lemonade sure did it.

    **GROSS TOO MUCH INFORMATION WARNING**
    **FEMALE MONTHLY ISSUES **

I'm 28. I mentioned earlier I haven't had a period since September. I've had "fake"periods where I'd spot for a day or so. Something has just been obviously wrong..my doctor wanted to blame it on thyroid or stress but I knew that wasn't the case. So I wanted to fast because from past experience and I know other women experienced the MC bringing their periods on.

I was in a half fasted state on Friday. I say half because well I hadn't eaten anything all afternoon/evening..I was actually planning to do a liver flush but fell asleep too early.

On Saturday, I drank ONE glass of lemonade and had already felt something from that...dont know how to explain it. But my body has been wanting to fast for a while now which is why I easily started to get in a fasting state. I've done enough fasts to know the signs. Like fruit, lemonade, citrus has been appealing to me and not any of my "favorite" foods. But it's like I was craving the lemonade and got a bit of energy rush/buz from it..and I don't use a lot of Maple so it wasn't a maple overdose. Anyway - Got my period THAT night. I was skeptical whether it was a real one though since I have had it show up for a day before and then disappear.

Today/Sunday. Pain.Pain.Pain! My whole lower body hurt, cramps went down into my legs. This is when I decided to not go on fasting and wanted to eat some yogurt to get my calcium/minerals/potassium up which helps me with periods. But after that, major weakness, fatigue, cramps from HELL that brought tears and made me dry heave. Heating pad slightly helped but I had to be standing. Kept feeling like I had to pee but nothing was coming out. I drank another glass of lemonade... since it seems to have the power.. Shortly after.. um yeah let's just say I passed the biggest something that looked like more like placenta then normal period stuff and I've never been pregnant..and finally peed again after it was gone. I wonder if my body thought it was pregnant since I had swollen breasts/nipples for 3 months too. lol. Defintley feeling better now that that thing is gone. I wonder if it was pressing on my uretha or bladder or something since I"ve had urinary issues too going on too while I had no periods.

ps. Been to a doctor for this.. she was an idiot. I wasn't old enough for menopause and not having sex so she blew anything else off. I was planning on going to a Gynocologist or something but I didn't have one and like I said I wanted to try fasting which would've only taken a week to know if it would've worked. I'll might still go find one just in case cause this was way too weird.

Edit to add - Need a few days of getting in nutrients to deal with this and get my strength up. I'm now on a Kefir kick although I don't actually want to eat food. I'll still drink the lemonade but not as a "fast", be back in a day or 2 to do a real one.

I don't see how the cleanse could cause gallstones, honestly - but I'm not a doctor. "Lemons" actually soften stones in the gallbladder and helps move them out naturally. You should drink 12 oz of water with 1 full lemon squeezed in every day. Then do the gallbladder cleanse. You can get rid of up to 2000 stones. I've never done it because I'm a coward when it comes to being possibly queasy but do a search here to find what others have posted.

p.s. with todays' typical diet, most people in the U.S have gallstones to one degree or another.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I do not have polyps, but multiple stones. I tried several gallbladder cleanse remedies but none worked. I did not try the water/lemon juice you mentioned but I will definitely give that a try. I ordered a product online as a last resort which claims to disintigrate the stones and flush them out. It could be a total scam for all I know. But I ran out of other ideas and suggestions, and I am desperate to not lose my gallbladder. There is an increased risk of colon cancer once the gallbladder is removed and I am already recovering from uterine cancer and don't need any additional risk to get more cancer. I will also do a search to see if anyone else had any experiences to share. Everyone at work told me they were sure doing this lemon cleanse gave me the stones, but I just didn't see how it could have. Thank you again.

Have done several 10 day and one 40 day clense in the past. Intend to start Jan 11 for another 40 day and night fast (like Moses in the desert) and look forward th the cleansing benefits and side benefit of releasing pounds back into the nothingless from which they came (don' "lose" weight as what is the first thing people do when they "lose" something? They try to find it to get it back)

Hi, first time posting here but have spent a long time this cleanse reading for motivation and inspiration as well as earlier in this year when i did an 8 day cleanse.

I am currently on day 10 and am doing this for the healing benefits, i have crohns disease and adrenal issues as a result of meds taken for the former. I had been on a chemo treatment for the crohns this year and it only made me worse, wiped my immune system and caused depression and me just to not be myself. Having been ill for so long and not training like i used to any weight loss will be welcomed (about 15lbs to lose) but primarily im interested in the self healing benefits from longer fasts, The last time i felt some activity in an old break in my ankle and shingles pains returned as well as the scars before disspearing. Im hoping with enough time i might resolve the crohns and allow me adrenals to function again, already the abstainance from food has rested my gut massively and allowed the crohns to calm so im appreciative of that, just hope more good can be done. The only bummer is i found the resolve and drive to do this again at this time, Christmas day will be day 14 and i suppose il have a lot longer than that to wait until i see some real body self healing magic so i suppose il remind myself i can enjoy the festive type foods- the healthy and recommended ones permitted by Peter and co, in January and remind myself that a new healthy me in the new year is the best Christmas present i could get. Anyone else going over Christmas with this?
The detox symptoms seem to be a bit slower this time and im not eliminating nearly as much as before, could it be because my body is working to repair my gut anyway so its slowing or reducing activity in there? I struggle with the SWF but have always had good results withthe tea am and pm.

DAY 9 today. I can't believe I'm almost there! I had/have considered staying on a bit longer as I still have a pretty white tongue but I realise it could take any length of time to clear and I really want to finish now. I'm excited about concluding the cleanse and eating again and I'm really, really sick of juicing and the lemonade now.

It's been an amazing experience - so far - and I'm loving the way I feel. I will definitely do this again and probably aim for twice a year. I would like to go longer but I am really bored with it, even though I feel amazing. Lol.

I haven't had many detox symtoms: painful sinuses, coated tongue, sticky eyes, weight loss - not too much else really.

Hope everybody is having a good day.

    Hi,
I know exactly how you feel. Today is day 10 for me and I'm glad I did the cleanse but am so glad it's over soon. I'm so bored of it all to and so sick of the lemonade at this point. I lost 10 lbs in 10 days. I feel great. My tongue is still white though too, but I'm not going to continue. I'll do this again after the new year.
Good luck everyone and Merry Christmas!

Hello all! It is day 1 and hopefully I can see it through this time. I tried it a couple of years ago and made it to day 6 and tried it again last week and didn't make it through day 1!! I've been reading everyone's comments and they are truly inspirational. I desperately need a cleanse to rid myself of bad eating habits and loose weight. I love food so I know this is going to be challenging but worth if I can shed the unwanted weight and adopt healthier eating habits. I'll take it one day at a time!!

Wow, I don't have alot of faith in the American Medical Association but there are some really good doctors out there - they're just hard to find. What you went through isn't normal so it would be really good if you got a checkup. You never know. I hope you're feeling better today. Obviously whatever was in there your body wanted it OUT and out it came. Way to listen to your body.

    Keep us posted, k?

    Maria,

Take a look through this older thread http://therawfoodsite.com/forum/show...ight=gallstone

It says liver flush but you'll see it addresses both liver and gallbladder.

Almost at the end of Day 3. I am definitely feeling detox symptoms. Today I felt hungry, tired.. sleepy not physically, like I just wanted to sleep all day, it mainly hit me in the afternoon. And, I've been feeling cold all day. I also had "impure" thoughts..what I mean is I was thinking about ditching this and started thinking if it's really realistic?? I thought about my elimination this morning... I actually had several pebble sized solid bowel movement. I was surprised wondering where the heck did those come from? Because on Day 1 and 2 was mostly watery and I have stuck with the cleanse. It's hard to believe that waste could just remain in my intestines for so long. I'm curious to know what tomorrow will be like. What really really helped me was reading Peter's book. I use it when I'm away from the computer and can read about other people's experiences. Knowing I'm not alone in this has really helped tremendously. I think only 7 more days, one week to go and I'll be done.

I will continue on and lay down and take it easy. I'm hoping to make it to the gym tomorrow! Thanks for reading.
