    Nance,

I know too well the falling back into bad habits. You are on the right track with getting right back up and brushing yourself off again!! I am still battling cravings (different all the time, but usually involves some sort of corn product, potato chip, or bread) but I am hanging tight. I keep thinking about summer and bathing suits!!

Hitting PUre Food and Wine two weekends in a row helps too!! UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!!!

So since I will be off for summer once school lets out (2 more weeks) I have some raw goals:

Perfect the raw potato chip, perfect the raw corn chip, get into sprouting and fermenting.

    Keep on going!!

    Hey there....

I am curious what the recipe is for "teepee's famous chocolate sauce"?

I've read about half the recipes in the lemonhead recipe box but didn't see that one yet (although I've compiled a word document 35 pages long of other recipes!!).

I'm on day 9 of a 30 day cleanse (my second) and I'm compiling recipes that I want to try when I get done cleansing....

    Thanks!

    Hi all,

I've got some questions I hope you might be able to help me with. I completed a fourty day clense and am now on my 27th raw day. I love the food and am really enjoying the tastes and textures, not finding it at all difficult except that a week ago I came out in a rash all over my body. It's tiny red, incredably itchy blotches and they are driving me insane. My family and friends are sure that it's because I'm not eating properly but I am convinced that by going raw I am completetly doing the right thing. I am also suffering due to the fact that my body is producing a lot of mucus (sorry, I know that isn't very plesant) I wondered if anyone out there had heard of or experienced similar side effects?
My husband thinks I am overdosing on fruit and veg? Is that possible?

I want this to work for me and for my family, I want to be a positive role model for them but it's difficult when they see me suffering.

Can anyone give me any constructive suggestions as what the possible causes of this rash could be?

    Hayley,

I'm not an expert, but from some of the things I've read, I think the mucus is a discharge of toxins. Same may be true with the rash. Your skin is one of your largest organs, and through it you release toxins when you sweat. I would continue you on, and see if it passes. Try a natural remedy for the itching.

Good luck and hang in there if you can, you are probably just continuing to cleanse yourself! Can you see a holistic doctor in your area?

    Thank-you TeePee,

I did think that my symptoms may be as a result of continued detox but then after a 40 day detox my family assured me that I must have got rid of everything. I don't know why I'm so willing to just take what they say as I've done far more research than them on the topic.

I'll stick with it. Not one to give up easily. I don't know about holistic healers but here in Korea the Oriental medicine is excellent so I might check that out.

Thanks for taking the time to reply,

    Hayley x

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.
A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.
Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.
Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.
Avocados, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.
Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.
Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries
Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.
Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Pretty please will someone give me the recipe for "teepee's famous chocolate sauce"???

I posted here a while ago and several replies, including one from teepee has been posted, but I've been ignored. I'm a female. I'm in my 30's. I can't live without chocolate. I would love the recipe and be very grateful.

Please let me know if you have this recipe so that I can have some on top of my banana "ice cream"...

    Blessings!

I've started reading the 12 Steps to Raw Foods book and I am very excited to start my own raw foods lifestyle! While I am currently still on the cleanse (just finished day 4), I am hoping to come to this board for help, support, and information about raw foods!

Nance - That article was very interesting! Thanks

Hope cleansing is going well for all!

Okay, here ya go. (It's actually Sim's chocolate sauce, as it turns out!)

2 heaping Tbsps raw organic unsweetened cocoa powder or carob powder
    1/4 cup flaxseed oil
    3/4 cup purified water
    1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp maple extract (optional: use with dates only)
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt
1/2 cup or 1/4 pound pitted dates, packed (use fresh dates, such as Medjool, honey, or barhi) or 1/2 cup maple syrup

Put everything in a blender and whir away. This makes about 1-1/2 cups.

I just made this tonight! Now, I change a bunch: I double the recipe but don't double the water, because I want fudgy sauce, not syrupy sauce. I use less oil, and I always use half agave nectar and half dates. Also, since I have a Vita-Mix, I use half a vanilla bean instead of the vanilla extract.

But it's good no matter what you do with it. Enjoy!
