Hey all, I just read this great book by Harvey Diamond called "Fit for Life not Fat for Life", and in it he mentions that in order to streamline your digestive system and help the body eliminate toxins and excess weight most efficiently you should eat nothing but fresh fruit or juice from the time you wake up until 12 noon.
Also, he says the proper way of eating fruit is alone, on an empty stomach, not with other food of any kind including vegetables. He says this is due to the fact that fruit is alkaline but will turn acidic when coming in contact with other food in the digestive system. This new knowledge was very interesting to me and I thought it might interest some of you. Does anyone else know if this information is in fact correct? Would this mean then that fruit should not be included in salads? hmmm something to think about!
