LOL @ Peanut. I'm jealous too, but tomorrow is my last day. 3 days of grapefruit juice, then I have the most beautiful tomatoes that I have ever seen waiting for me. I bought them today at Trader Joe's. They are a marbled dark purple or green and the size on a ping pong ball. Plus some pretty yellow and orange ones. MMMMMmmmm

    Day 5!

YAY. I made chocolate pudding last night with avocado, MS , dates and raw cocoa. SUPER YUM! I only made 1/2 the recipe but ate the WHOLE THING! Raw food can be good.

Mtmouse Thx for the words of encouragement. I'm going for 10... (that gets me back to where I was before the holidays and a super stressful semester.)

Peanutterb Stay strong ... we'll be waiting for you when it's time. And so will some delicious chocolate pudding....

Res Feeling any better? I don't think I could even look at food for a week after food posioning and I was SO weak.

So here's my big concern for the week. I'm going to a bachelorette party on Thursday. We're having fondue. I know that most of the stuff isn't raw (I'm praying for fruits and veggies to dip). So what do you recommend? I'm already planning on bringing my own snacks for the rest of the night. Do I skip out on dinner? Do I just watch my friends eat without me? I don't want to be offensive to the bride, but I feel SOOOOO good doing raw food. I don't want to give that up now. Recommendations anyone?

Menu for tonight.. Zuchini spaghetti with maranara sauce.... I LOVE marinara sauce. I added some fresh basil to make it taste like Pesto, garlic, roma tomatoes, olive oil, sundried tomatoes, thyme, oregano, a little sea sauce and red peppers. If you put in just a touch of agave it makes it a little sweeter, too.

And where do you find RAW WALNUTS? My health food store is Sprouts. They have walnuts but they don't specify raw.

    Have a great day all.

Kathy, 'no' I didn't mean to type "Almost milk" that would be too quick witted and lately it's amazing if I remember where I am.

Natalyawoo, Thank you yes, I am feeling better. I think somebody up there loves me because others threw up the entire weekend while I only did for about 10 hours. BUT, since I'd rather die than throw up 10 hours was more than enough. blech....

Okie Doke: here's this mornings menu.

Black seedless grapes (uh, I found out these little gems are packed with sugar) but a small bunch.

Then: soaked steel cut Irish oats, with "Almost Milk" and a squeeze of Agave. Yum.

Lunch: Toona, celery and Rosemary crackers. Egads this Toona is amazing. I'm not big on eating celery (although it's great for the body) but if I can scoop toona with it it's a deal! Also I just munched the Red leaf lettuce from yesterday.

Although the Rosemary crackers have WAY TOO MUCH ROSEMARY - I brought some in and put Toona on it and WOW! It's all pretty amazing.

Dessert Snack: Simple, but killer. Does anyone else need something sweet after eating? Medjool dates (the seed comes out so easily) stuffed with Raw Cacao nibs (crunchy) then rolled in raw dried coconut. Talk about playing with your food!

    YUM!

Ok, cough it up - what are you guys eating today? Hmmm

    Love,
    ~Res

Mmmm, okay, I see that "little sea sauce". Give it up! What is sea sauce??? Trying to sneak that in there....

LOL. Res, we've got a new staple. Almost Milk!

One thing I've been forgetting to mention that I think is a terrific snack is sugar snap peas!

Costco sells them in 2-pound bags at a much better price than in any grocery store I've seen.

They're sweet, juicy, and crunchy! Yum!
