Day eight and I'm feeling a bit better. Somewhat bloated tonight, but the leg cramps have relaxed. I slept with a heating pad the last two nights. I plan to keep using it just to stay warm!!! I always get so cold on the cleanse. I still don't have the usual MC energy, but my mental fog is fading. Only 22 days to go

Love cayenne and easily tolerate the SWF.

I think my goals are different than many who post here. Weight loss is not a goal of mine with the MC, but an oerall cleansing, physical and spiritual, is. I am sure we will all reap many benefits we don't anticipate. When I did my 21 day MC a few years ago I became incredibly well tuned, sensitive, spiritually connected, a better breather, better listener, a more compassionate person. The list goes on and on. I welcome the cleaner me. If it comes with a weight loss so be it.

    EDIT:

My second day of SWF had radically different effects than the first: now I know why people don't leave the comfort of their homes--read: bathrooms--for a few hours after. Later this morning I am sure I will want to consume some lemon/maple/cayenne drink, but not yet. No strong hunger pangs yet in 36 hours of fasting. I drank lots of water yesterday, which helped I am sure, and the yoga session last night helped with my breathing and contentment with the process.

Otherwise, great site, great cleanse and here's to good health!

Bodhi-Congrats on making it to day 6. If you aren't having headaches from the caffeine withdrawl then be proud you weren't addicted! I was lovin Full Throttles every day and a coke every now and again. I suffered only on day 2 with headaches. My teeth got tender after a few days but I noticed around day 7 or 8 the tenderness had subsided. Keep it up! Do you plan on continuing past 10? Make sure you read how to break the fast. Love the energy! This is a life changing and personal experience. Enjoy the good and the bad because they all have a positive outcome!

I am so pumped about this cleanse and plan to go for 10 days the first time. I also plan on getting some things done around the house and excercising as usual. I took it easy today but plan on running my usual 3 miles tomorrow.

This board is a great resource and I plan on using it! I have a question relating to the delicious light gray Celtic Sea Salt. I purchased it yesterday and opened it today for a small taste (never bought such expensive salt before). The flavor was amazing! Not harsh like most salt. Is it bad to snack on a salt rock or two so I can trick myself into thinking I am eating real food? I realize this sounds ridiculous!

    Good luck to all!

Hats off to you for making it through your first day. By day 3 you will be 100% confident you CAN do this. I will let the Senior members answer your question, but my thoughts are that the extra salt may absorb into your blood too quickly which can lead to slow blood flow hence slower metabolism and elimination effects and also possible unwanted water retention. But I am definitely not the expert! Why don't you try lemon instead?

Sierramagic: So sorry to burst your theory yesterday! But glad to save you the time!

So I have made it to day 10. I am a bit frustrated because although my priorities with the cleanse are primarily mental clarity, I do need to lose weight and had been going strong until day 8. I ended up gaining back 2 of the pounds and have done nothing different. I am frustrated. So here is a question: Peanutterb, you have said before we can decrease our syrup in the lemonades to decrease our sugar intake. So what would the formula be to get a 10 oz drink? More lemonade, water, or would we just not be drinking 10 oz per drink? Also, I have had much unwanted gas the past day. Any suggestion to this or insight? I have also noticed that I bruise very easily now. I woke up the other morning and counted 7 new bruises on my body! Urgh.

On a different note, I have personally noticed I don't let the little things stress me out so much anymore. I talk clearer, had more variance in my tone, move around more, and smile more. I am in the hospitality industry so this is a major perk as I deal with a lot of unruly people! My body doesn't feel so stiff and I am starting to walk with confidence. I plan to continue for at least 5 more days. If I can achieve that, which I will I plan to do another 5 and so on and so on.

Has anyone ever noticed how strangely people look at you when you are buying your lemons? I guess most people only buy a few at a time! Not heaping bags full! LOL

BJM, to lose weight, you should use 1 tablespoon of MS instead of 2 per glass. May I ask how much you weigh now? It could be because your body is reluctant to lose weight as it's close to the ideal.

Otherwise, I doubt you have gained 2 lbs which isn't water, your body would be burning way more than your intake. Most likely it is water retention from the SWF. Or some of the weight lost originally was water, so you're putting it back on.

I would look at inch loss as opposed to weight loss, so don't be disheartened, you've done amazingly to get to day 10 !

The pollen here in Atlanta is at a gross level and spring just started. I'm glad to be cleansing now too and thank God for my sinucleanse to help flush out my nasal passages so I don't get all foggy and sick.
the cleanse will probably help with the allergies etc. fasting is the best cure. read what I said to[B] AvaViolette.
Small world peanutterb! I'm in ATL as well. Yes, the pollen is outrageous! I started the MC on Sunday, but woke the previous Friday with sinus-infection symptoms. So breathing has been a challenge. I'm not letting it interfere with the cleanse, though.

It's not that I'm trying to get the SWF down and over with. I'm just trying to get it down so I can get back in the bed! I wake up at 5 to drink it, then again about an hour later after it starts working. I honestly thought the whole process would be much worse, but it's not. My wife is MC-ing with me. She didn't have much luck keeping the SW down yesterday, so at lunch I went to Whole Foods and bought her the Celtic brand. On a side note, it was interesting being around all that good food and not feeling hungry. I was more like, "Wow... they've got a lot of neat stuff in here!"

I'm starting Day 3 now. I've lost 6 pounds so far! I know it's mostly waste and water, although I typically drank a gallon-a-day before starting the cleanse. But I'm not complaining.

The only problems I've had were on Day 1... headaches and a little irratability. A quick nap fixed that! Yesterday I felt strong enough to go to the gym, but really just played around with a few weights and chilled out in the sauna for a while. I'll start my normal 4-5 days a week workouts later this week. I can't believe the amount of energy one has with absolutely no real food to speak of!

I am now on day 9 and I will be ending my master cleanse today as my body is telling me to. I definitely will do the cleanse at another time as it was great cleansing my body, I lost 9 pounds and have more energy. I need to know what to start to eat tomorrow having had no solids for 9 days. I want to pretty much stick to raw veggies and salads for a while but where will I get my proteins.
Thanks ever so much for your answers and the experience of my first cleansing.
