    Thanks Res....today was day one and it seems harder than the last time I did it...I have some bad family issues come up today and I was so tempted to eat... I had to literally talk myself out of eating and finally I came to the conclusion I am an emotional eater.... no doubt anymore.. but I overcame my temptations and just got in my car and started driving..I'm looking forward to getting through these first couple days....

    I am new to absolutely everything. I have never MC'd before, ate raw before, or ate very healthy, it appears! I have been ill for many years having had migraines and more recently "silent migraines", which sent me totally crazy with dizziness. I took so much medication for the last 21 years, and have gained 77 pounds total. When I read Beyoncé Knowles comment about the wedding she went to, I knew that I was supposed to be on this... I went to one this past weekend and felt the very same way when asked to dance.

    But I am on the 2nd evening of the MC and doing well. I had lost 4# this morning and have not deviated one time.

    My question is this: I am still trotting to the potty tonight! is that normal? it of course is yellow and not much, but very hard to go anywhere with it being so spur of the moment!

    Hi All, Im brandie new and Im goin to start my first cleanse a week from monday. Im trying to get as much info as possible. I have been on atkins and have also just completed a colon and kidney/liver cleanse. I have no will power when it comes to food. I love all the food thats bad for me. I have never eaten fruit in my life. Unless apple pie counts..lol.lol. I do enjoy green veggies though and I really like the idea of juicing. Just bought one. Im really hoping to get a clean start with this cleanse. Im 43, 6', 250lbs. I never thought I would get this big. I hide it well and everyone says" youre just a big guy" I know what I feel like....please keep me and my wife in youre thoughts and prayers for some more support.....thanks all and good luck!

    Hi Jack: Newbies posts have to be validated before they show up. Look at the info at the top of this thread.

    Make sure you read the book. It prepares you ahead of time. Make up your mind that you'll stick with it and you'll be fine.

    Steph: Yikes! Friday! Well just make sure you follow the instructions for breaking the cleanse. The only really bad thing I could forsee would be if you were eating meals and not following the juice method. You should be ok.

    I responded to this part in the other thread, but Primal Defense is good and I use it. Sangre de drago is also amazing. You actually have a good Doctor!

    grandmasue: You're right where you're supposed to be! Get used to trotting to the potty. Keep in mind you're "detoxing" and it's not pretty. You'll have mostly good days with a detox day thrown in here and there but we're here for you.

    Suzy20: Way to be a Trooper and make the right decision! Family stuff can be difficult. *hug* I guarantee that in a few days you're going to feel pri-tty darn good, so hang in there.

    Well, just closing on day 4. Today was a mental game for me. I was not exactly hungry - but anything sounded wonderful. I made the mistake of grocery shopping while I felt hungry. Won't do that again. But am hanging in there. Felt a bit tired this morning. Took awhile to get with the program so to speak. But tomorrow is another day. I think I am going to try to do a 7 - 10 day cleanse the last week of the 3rd month. (does that make sense?) Like I did it actually the beginning of June - but I am doing it now - the last week of August and my next will be the last week of November. At least for a year. The one in June was my first successful one - and I am sure 10 days did not get rid of 40 plus years of bad eating habits.
    With this one, I am not in nearly the amount of pain I was in before. No pain in the hips/legs at all. The headache was tough as was the nausea, but... got through that and am well on my way.

    Hope everyone has a terrific day tomorrow. It is day 5 for me. Then it is all down hill.!!!!! YYYYIIIPPPEEEE!!!

    Oh and everyone at work knows I am doing this. They ask questions - waiting for me to faint flat on the floor of hunger. I work in an office that eats constantly. Candy from 8:30 am til they leave. Cookies, cakes, lunches, ice cream. No one is healthy there. They all complain about their weight and how bad they feel but they just cannot seem to grasp the connection between their diet and their health. That is a point that just does not seem to connect. Oh well.... there is talk that some may try it. I told her it took me 4 times before I was successful - mostly because of the pain - but... I feel it is worth it.

    Oh well. I will stop babbling.

    My doctor did suggest that I take 1 Dragon's Blood pill along with the fiber + yeast + Primal Defense. Do you have any cravings? How often and how many do you take? As always, thank you! As for my final, I am taking a Summer Session and it's only 5 weeks long. It's super intense and even 1-2 nights worth of studying is a lot. I'll be having lectures up until the day before the final.

    I am super hungry tonight and I believe it's because my roommate is whipping up some delicious sesame ginger chicken. I'm contemplating starting the juice on Saturday or Sunday, but who knows, I'll probably change my mind because I always feel great after the SWF. My old friend says I lost a ton of weight but that I look very tired. I am weak - the studying, the lack of sleep are taking a toll on my body. I'll just study a bit more and call it a night...
