    Yikes food for a bike ride on Day 3 after the cleanse! Considering that Burroughs has you taking it quite easy food-wise, soup? If you can get your hands on fresh organic berries go for it. Also organic bananas might work. Be careful though and drink lots of water. Maybe take some lemonade with you for energy.

    Lilypad: Absolutely about breathing in the smell of food. I discovered this one cleanse while my son was making his dinner. I was in the living room and the smells were wonderful. Instead of fighting it I gave in and took in the aroma. I was completely satisfied and have done the same thing on all of my cleanses. It's funny how it works that way.

    Glad to hear your cleanse is going well and easy.

    Yes, you can build muscle while cleansing. The weird thing about each subsequent cleanse is that they're all different. This is my experience. No two cleanses have been alike so don't worry if you don't lose as much as you did the first time. The good thing is you're getting rid of toxins.

    This is what Burroughs says about drinking water on the cleanse, "About six glasses of lemonade a day is enough for those wishing to reduce. Extra water may be taken as desired."

    Congrats on making it to Day 5!! You're halfway there so keep going for it!

    Most of us think a lot about food while cleansing. I'm thinking about cleansing next week and already thinking about what I'm going to eat coming off the cleanse and then afterwards. lol

    mmpki: Hey now! If you've made it to the end of Day 3 then you've just left MC Boot Camp! Keep going! The first 3 are the toughest and if you can do those then you can do the rest!

    Res, you're the best. Thanks for your encouragement and great ideas. Soup makes sense -- and organic bananas and berries sound perfect (and portable)!

    Anyone else with suggestions on what to eat before, during and after my 50-mi ride on Sunday? (Just to recap, it's three days after I end the cleanse. Luckily, it's a pretty flat course, and I'm definitely going to take it easy.)

    Hey Cleansers, this is my first time posting, and I just wanted to say hi and share my experience.

    I'm on day 3 of my first master cleanse ever! I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years of those 10 a vegan for 7, and 90% raw for about 6 months. When I went raw I did a short juice fast where I had a good detox experience and after several days in bed and headaches, i got rid of my caffeine addiction.

    I feel fine on the Master Cleanse. I'm not hungry at all. At the same time, however, I feel like I'm not detoxing because I feel fine. I'm kind of wondering why I don't feel like crap?

    I've lost 4 pounds, but I think it's just because my stomach is empty.

    I'm doing everything strictly by the book. I'm definitely going to stick with it for 10 days just to see if it works or not, so I'll let you know how it ends up.

    Has anyone else not experienced detox symptoms?

    day 9!!!

    tummy is all cramped up, trying to stomach more lemonade. is it bad that some days i failed to drink 6 glasses?

    LAST NIGHT I HAVE TO DRINK THE LAXATIVE TEA and tomorrow will be the last time i have to do that terrible salt water flush. I CAN'T WAIT. and I can't believe i made it this far. went to the store to buy my oranges today

    awww THANK YOU! It means alot to hear people are cheering me on

    I went to Whole Foods again a while ago. I cannot believe the size of those mangos they have! Holy cow! Just one of those yummy things to look forward to after the cleanse

    Hi All: Day 10 for me and tomorrow I start having my OJ. I can't believe that I made it to my goal of 10 days but here I am.

    Today my stomach has been upset all day long. Constant gurggling and cramps. Last night I did not do the SWF because I hate it when I am in the shower and all of a sudden have to go. So I decided to have the lax tea in the morning being that it was my last day. It was not a good choice because I had a difficult time at work with my stomach. Should have stuck with the SWF it would have been over with in a couple of hours.

    Good luck to all of those who are still cleansing and I hope you make it to your goal.

    Res - thanks for the response. That's so helpful. I'm so glad someone else found out about taking in the aromas. Honestly, it even helped me after the cleanse. Like I'd smell pizza or french fries and really get some good whiffs in, and be done with it. And feel better that I could enjoy it, but not have to deal with the consequences of it on my hips. And, honestly when I did taste it, it didn't even taste THAT good, the smell was almost better.

    xtina - great for finishing up day 5. Me too!! Hang in there, you're doing great. I wanted to make sure you are drinking enough water on the cleanse, I read some of your posts earlier about not being able to eliminate after the SWF the first few days. Is this going better? I find that if I don't drink at least as much water as lemonade, I don't detox as well or eliminate...because your body gets dehydrated and doesn't want to let go of any liquids.

    Ok lemonheads...let's keep it up! I think I'm really going to last well past 10 days. I'm very much looking forward to it. Anybody else?

    Thanks alot for the advice. I had kinda tried that method, but not gone for the whole mind shift when I did it. The first few times pizza came into the house, I would lean over it and luxuriate inthe aroma, but I still felt like a naughty boy

    If I take it like the scent of a wax candle it's a lot easier to handle, but I never thought about how smelling those foods was actually better than eating them. So true!

    Why should I eat something and toxify my body, when all I really want is the smell anyway? Great call!
