Yikes food for a bike ride on Day 3 after the cleanse! Considering that Burroughs has you taking it quite easy food-wise, soup? If you can get your hands on fresh organic berries go for it. Also organic bananas might work. Be careful though and drink lots of water. Maybe take some lemonade with you for energy.
Lilypad: Absolutely about breathing in the smell of food. I discovered this one cleanse while my son was making his dinner. I was in the living room and the smells were wonderful. Instead of fighting it I gave in and took in the aroma. I was completely satisfied and have done the same thing on all of my cleanses. It's funny how it works that way.

Yes, you can build muscle while cleansing. The weird thing about each subsequent cleanse is that they're all different. This is my experience. No two cleanses have been alike so don't worry if you don't lose as much as you did the first time. The good thing is you're getting rid of toxins.
This is what Burroughs says about drinking water on the cleanse, "About six glasses of lemonade a day is enough for those wishing to reduce. Extra water may be taken as desired."
