I've got one of those scales too and it showed similar wide ranges of body fat/muscle % change in my first MC. I wouldn't worry too much about the fluctuations since there is so much going on in your body right now and the scales are not the most accurate to begin with. If it helps any, on my first MC it showed me losing roughly 15 lbs of muscle, but within 10 days after the MC I was back to where I was prior (I had gained back about 10 lbs--but there was no way it was muscle--it was body waste returning). So if I followed what the scale said, it would mean I had lost 20 total pounds during the MC with 15 of that being muscle. Then, 10 days later I had gained back 10 lbs but really gained 15 of muscle while losing 5 of fat. I don't think so, especially since I continued to exercise including lifting weights throughout the MC. I think I lost 20 lbs (10 was fat, and 10 was waste that later returns with eating).Originally Posted by lyonsmd



but I actually found that I began to feel amazing by day 5. I am now on day 18 and am going to go for 21. It blows me away that I have been able to do it and even more so that I feel incredible. I even cancelled my chiropractic appt. because I felt so great. I lost 20 pounds which is a bonus!!
While the Zelnorm lessened my symptoms tremendously, i.e., bloating, constipation, gas, etc., I must say that the whole time during my MC fast (10 days), I was not bothered with ANY of those symptoms, nor did I have any acid reflux problems for which I take Prilosec everyday. I was instructed in my letter to call my doctor and talk with her about it which I will definitely do. I don't know what I will do if all the IBS comes back!!! I am thinking I will go back on the cleanse, hopefully for a longer period of time, and then try to do a raw diet.
