I did this tea alot when I was on the first MC 3 yrs ago, My body craved it. I am trying to stick to Mint this time , but when you get a craving , sometimes dirversion hepls. I am trying to see if I can de-tox my body so i can rid myself of a painful infalmation in my hip ( that now bothers my knee) In short , I am in pain and cannot hike , walk or bike ..even most yoga is painful.
    Any tips ?

Beginning belly dancing worked wonders for my hip problem. The first 3 days were excruciating. Then everything seemed to loosen up and I haven't had any hip problems in 4 years!

Ok...perhaps this may be my biggest challenge to date...it's 1:23am, and I cannot sleep due to severe allergy symptoms. I can't stop sneezing, my eyes itch and burn, my throat is itchy and I have a very fine rash on my face (not all over though). Whenever I try and lie down to rest, my nose stuffs up and I can't breathe. So I'm up and still sneezing. The pollen count here in VA is high, but I'm tired! And things were going so well! Are these symptoms amplified because of my being on the MC?

I am assuming that I can't take allergy medicine while doing the MC...

Start counting the cleanse from the day you started with the lemonade. (or limeade)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. Please don't shoot the messenger.
    Sierra:

I have no idea what you read, but the last fast I did I used only fresh lemon juice mixed with Grade B maple syrup and cayenne pepper. I drank between 60-100 ounces of the standard drink every day for 21 days. It sounds like you may want to read a bit more attentively? Just a thought....

Day 3 of my second MC. This day I woke up feeling much more " normal " than the past two days. I think I went too long a couple of times yesterday without my lemon juice, due to my having to take a long walk to do some shopping, and I felt weak part of the day yesterday because of that maybe.

SWF again this morning, and I began wondering about the fluid balance. I drink 32 ounces of SWF each morning, and the results last from 30 minutes to 90 minutes each morning. During that time, however, it does not seem like 32 ounces comes out the other end. Hard to measure, as we all know ( ), but it is my imagination? I am not weighing myself, as it is just not worth it, but because of that I just don't know if I am retaining a lot of the water. I am drinking 50-100 ounces of fluids (either lemon mix or plain water) each day, and I am getting rid of all of that via urination.

Does the SWF seem to come out completely for some of you? Or is it retained until later, then come out via the urine?

I must add again I am not the least bit " worried ", just curious. Thanks for any comments.

BTW: I am not getting my normal exercise, just leisurely walking every day. I normally get cardio every day, but for the first few days of the fast I want to keep it a bit more low key. Yoga and meditation have been my only " exercise " other than leisurely walking along the river.

Plenty of elimination of all sorts, so let's see what tomorrow is like.
    TallTravel:

Can you please clarify your above statement? I believe I am under the same impression as SierraMagic that the first day had no lemonade, hence it would not be the first day? Not everyone will have severe detox symptoms. Some may not really notice any at all, or they will hit later on. I only had a slight headache one day and lower back pain the next. A slight sore throat occasionally, which the SWF actually helped. Your energy will probably increase very soon and you will find yourself wanted to get back to your cardio with a vengence! Doesn't it feel great to sweat? Are you planning to go for 10 days? Keep up the motivation and you will continue to sail through it.

    Futrdoc!

Hats off to day 4! I hope your kids are still motivating you. Mine offered me watermelon last night and then said "oh, I forgot you can't have this, nevermind..." Thought that was cute. My son is very supportive. As for the allergy medicines, if it isn't a necessary PRESCRIBED medication then please, please, don't give into the quick relief. You will only be making the cleanse worse for yourself because you will be putting back unnecessary chemicals that will be even harder for your body to break down. You are just experiencing and elevated detox symptom. Who knows, maybe your allergies will be better by the end. As everyone says, sometimes things have to get worse before they get better!

    Morning Everyone

    day 3 here for me

I don't have time to read and reply to everyone - gotta leave for work in 5 mins and still gotta make lemonade

I just wanted to stop in and say hi and give everyone hugs.

I'm listening to Here Comes the Sun and I say It's all right!
remember that today, the sun is coming and it's all right.

Our challenge for today is simple.
    Smile.

This is important for me cus I absolutely hate my job. But I'm going to smile til my cheeks hurt.

*Question* that anyone can answer - do I have to drink the tea on an empty stomach as I do the swf?
I'd love to hear what you all think. I've got reasons for and against...
be the change you want to see in the world - ghandi

shui girl, About four years ago, I had swelling and severe pain in my right knee. It got so bad, I could hardly walk. I was diagnosed with mild to moderate arthritis, and sent to an orthopedist. Not a strong believer in Western medicine, I refused the drugs and cortisone shots, and instead used glucosamine, chondrointin, MSM. and Zyflamend (for the inflamation). I did, however, take my doctor's advise and go to physical therapy. There, I learned how to strengthen specific muscles to take the pressure off of my damaged knee to give it a chance to heal. I have been completely arthritis free for three years with no limitations whatsoever. I would try the Zyflamend and the exercise if it's just inflammation and not arthritis. The exercise is problably what helped Sierramagic. Her belly dancing strenthened the right muscles.

Hello fellow lemonheads, Day 9 and going strong. No detox symptoms since 2nd day, but I keep my body fairly clean. Going for 15 days, but will follow my body's lead. I really enjoy the comraderie of this site. I've been alternating/mixing MS, Agave Nectar, Blackstrap Molasses in the hopes I'm getting a better variety if minerals/nutrients. (Still keeping to correct portions). Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks and Good Luck.
