    I noticed something interesting today...

    I cleaned almost the whole day, I was also running behind on lemonade, running off very little lemonade. So i caught myself up, and now im tired as hell, opposed to the energy i had just a bit ago. Something similar to this, is when i was eating food, i always always, always got tired after i ate.

    I dont know what to make of this.

    This is my first cleanse and I'm on day 4. The first day was pretty rough. I was really irritable, cold and shaky. Days 2 and 3 were great. I had way more energy than I thought I would. I also didn't have any problems with being hungry. However, I did have a dream that I was cooking a giant vat of mashed potatoes... Today was different as I've been extremely hungry. I was tempted to stop but I want to see this thing through to day 10. I had the same amount of lemonade everyday (7 servings) but today I'm having 9. Does anybody know if your physical need for lemonade increases daily? Last night I didn't get enough sleep and I was exhausted all day. Maybe this relates to the hunger?

    I really wish I hadn't told anybody at work that I was doing this cleanse. My boss found out and teased me by saying "it's a celebrity diet" and I'm "just trying to be like Beyoncé." Ugh. Oh, and my manager shoved pizza in my face and made fun of me because I couldn't have it. The good news is that I didn't want it at all. I thought about all the horrible things I've read about cheese and how the bread would sit in my stomach like a brick. No, thank you!

    Another great experience is that I've lost 5 pounds since I started the fast. I know some of it will come back when I start eating, but it was pretty amazing to be able to fit into some pants I haven't been able to wear for months. I've been a vegetarian for 2 1/2 years but I gained a lot of weight in that time due to my love affair with heavy carbs and sugar. My goal after the cleanse is to go vegan, cut out all processed foods and incorporate more raw vegetables into my diet.

    I've noticed that the side effects of this cleanse haven't been as harsh for me as I expected after reading the book. Possible causes?:

    1) I've been drinking the Senna tea every night for about 6 months prior to starting the cleanse.
    2) I quit drinking, doing drugs and smoking over 3 1/2 years ago.
    3) I drink minimal caffeine. I was drinking green tea in the morning but found that to be too strong. I kicked that habit last month.
    4) I'm a vegetarian and limit my lactose intake.

    I'm very proud of myself for doing this. When I was growing up, "family dinner" meant eating Big Macs in front of the TV. My parents have a picture of me eating a bag of cheese puffs when I was still in diapers! So for me to take control of my health gives me a huge boost in confidence and self-esteem.

    You step away from the computer for a couple hours and then there's so much catch up to do! Sounds like a positive day overall. I also had a good one. Day 4, no headache and managed (amazingly) to teach my aerobics class. About that....any idea how an hour in Bromide (chlorine substitute) will affect the cleanse? I don't have a tub so I bought a bar of charcoal activated soap to help. Anyone try that? Also a few of my students are nurses and kind of freaked me out with talk of electrolytes. I did a search here on this and have been reading for over an hour, but can't find the answer I need. Are we in danger of loosing our electrolytes?

    Eliminations today were totally different look. I couldn't find anything chocolate-colored.
    I had today were clear yellow bile and orange/yellow-ish semi-solid.
    WHAT ARE THEY??? I totally had no idea. But things seem to be changed

    I was working from home today. That means I could have fresh squeezed lemonade for every single serving
    -- basically I make my lemonade in the morning and grab it to work.
    Is it an illusion? Fresh one is much tastier than regular(pre-home-made and bottled)one!!!

    Still thinking about EATING and I couldn't stop it. I asked myself "how can I change direction of this nasty dream???".
    ....5 minute later, finally I ordered dehydrator and spiral slicer for post-cleanse raw challenge!!!!
    Big hunger attack turned to be a happy hunger. I was surfing website for raw recipe and ingredients
    ...and planning menu...and making shopping list...and...and...I was doing them during working hours.
    What a busy day!!

    There's another new organic deli-restaurant on 23rd, called Organique(I don't think they carry raw menu, but organic).
    I'll check it after cleanse.

    I also considered to reform my ligerie closet after this cleanse. I lost my boobs but I can feel my ribs, too.
    Maybe just underband size had changed(...I believe so). I'll visit my lingerie consultant next month.

    starflyer - this is my 4th and longest cleanse and the most weightloss ever. my breasts have never been affected by my weightloss before, on a cleanse or while working out or anything. but i love them thru and thru.

    gagirl - actually that's good. you didn't lose a cup (actual boobage) but you lost inches. nothing to worry about. and when you exercise it shouldn't be a prob, esp if you lift weights.

    irhxcher - happened to me before babe. tough times in the life of a cleanser. one time it was a sneeze. *sigh*

    also, food does slow you down bc your body has to stop and switch gears to digestion. just a fact of life. and certain foods require more work and overeating makes it even harder - which is why everyone falls asleep after thanksgiving dinner.

    Hi everyone! End of day three for me. I know I posted yesterday and asked this exact same question, but I can't seem to find an answer. I have a problem with drinking the Senna at night, I am Mormon and we are asked not to drink any tea. I have Senna tablets, but I know this is against the rules. Is it still okay? Anyone with any advice on this would be great, as I am planning to take one soon and head to bed.

    Hope everyone is doing well.
