See if you can just do your tea and go to bed. Most likely all this will be different after tomorrow morning's SWF.

Sorry you're having such a hard time! But if you stick with it, it will definitely be worth it in the long run.
    Hi mtmouse!
Thanks for the response. I am just afraid I am doing harm to my body. All my movements are loose, and (sorry for the grossness), haven't been able to make it to the bathroom on time, several times.

congrats ginger dear! i'm soo soo proud of you.

    mustbstrong
, the grouchiness passes, thankfully. just remember to be patient and warn them that you'll be a little short with them so not to try you and not to take it personally if you snap. I babysit a 7 year old and sometimes I have to apologise for the way i respond to her endless questions.
as for the bathroom, no big worries with that, it's generally over in 2 hrs. please read the general help for newbies thread for more info on the swf etc etc.

kayceez, welcome back. you are so close! why not stay on the extra day so you can complete a full cleanse. you've already come so far and done so well. why stop one day short?

laurel - same to you. stick it out. you are soo close to the finish line. why run off the track now? stick through it tomorrow and finish at the right time. people who stop short of their goal usually regret it, and i personally have a greater respect and profound admiration for people who go the full ten days and you do want me to worship and adore you right?

i'm hungry today too but my tongue is not pink yet so i know it's not time. our bodies must be working on something serious that is making us feel hungry/shaky. and isn't that a good thing?

stick in there hun. don't stop yet.

hey evie, congrats to you and hubby. check out the artilces for breaking the cleanse and life thereafter thread - lots of good tips and websites.
as for eating healthy being expensive - everything worth having is worth working for. so if you love yourself, you'll love your body and you'll want to take the best care of it. what's an extra dollar or two now to eat well and be well versus thousands of dollars and pain later in life when you'll ill and cancerous?
treat your body like it's a newborn baby after the cleanse. be gentle and loving and treat it like it's the precious being that it is.

eurekam - day 13, you're doing great. I'm constantly thirsty, even when I drink 5 litres of water. even when i did my water fast. i think i'm addicted to water. i lust after it lol.
anyway, i can't wait to hear the difference you feel after your period.

    - hang in there. everything you're experiencing is common and covered in the Genereal Help for Newbies thread. read it up so you know what to expect.

    as for me
I was in the best mood today. best i tell you. so happy and carefree and fun. if i wasn't me, i'd want to at least be around me. that's how amazing i was today. i actually went walking and running as well. without a sportsbra, which was a mistake. bad breasts. bad breasts. but either way, it was good fun and i had a great time.

i babysat tonight. made banana bread with the young one. it was fun. made it into a reading and counting exercise which i'm sure she hates me for.
i was so tempted. this was the closest i ever got to putting something in my mouth. but then i figured it wasn't worth it. the bread wasn't vegan and didn't have nuts in it so i passed. i actually gave away the slice i had saved for myself to have after the cleanse. i can make more bread another time. it's not like bananas are going out of season.

i also put together my sister's expensive as* bday gift. it's a basket of goodies, clothes for work, vacation, candles, cookbooks, necessities and non necessities. i have them labeled by life period and theme going thru her past 30 years and the future. i love gift getting!

all in all doing well. tired. forgot to make my swf and am too lazy to go downstairs and make it now so i'll do it in the morning. i'm hungry too, but too lazy to make another lemonade or even drink a little maple water. i just want to curl up and sleep.

    until tomorrow.

    peace and lemon juice!

12:30 update -- so that feeling in my stomach isn't hunger. it's cramps. like gas or bm cramps. which is quite strange. *perturbed*

It's Day 6 for me. I guess I was just looking for a little support or pointers from those who have done the MC before. My comment before was related to the fact that my MC is not following the indicators mentioned in the books from the lack of weight loss to the lack of detox symptoms. Everyone who has posted so far seems to have pretty significant results or have the symptoms indicated by the book. Since I'm not, I was just wondering if I was alone.

I have had to modify my workout during the MC to strictly cardio (i.e. cycling, elliptical machinces, etc.) instead of my resistance training since i'm not taking in any protein. I have had little to no detox symptoms except for the coated tongue, but my tounge was already pink before. What's going on??

Ginger 30 days. That is truly admirable. Please keep us up to date as to how you find your transition to food.

Hello fellow lemonheads! I'm back and ready for my 4th MC! I have been looking forward to this one because my husband is finally on board and ready to do it with me! Some of you may remember my first few cleanses were difficult due to very little support from family & friends...thank goodness for this BB or who knows if I ever would have made it.

Finally, after witnessing me do the MC on three past occassions, those skeptics who thought I was starving myself saw the beneficial results and were amazed. I also have been known to have very little will-power, so I think they were also amazed that I actually stuck with it.

I know that cleansing 3 to 4 times a year will be a way of life for me now.

I'll be starting this on the 21st so I'll be sipping my tea Friday evening. Any others starting at the end of the month? Just curious...

Not sure how long I will go this time...obviously 10 days minimum...but I'm ready to let my tongue be the judge this time...so we'll see how long that takes!

    Keep up the squeezing!

    FOREVRSMLNG-Hello,
I was skimming over the thread and your message caught my eye...contact Kathy (mtmouse) and inquire about EFT for your bulimia.

I hope I'm not over-stepping my bounds, because you didn't request relief from that condition, you simply asked about a bulimic episode and it's effects on the cleanse, implying that you're interested in trying this, but know yourself well enough to know that you may be tempted to "eliminate" a lemonade? Am I understanding you?

Last year, I learned about a powerful healing technique while on this BB that is similar to accupuncture in that the energy meridians are a key aspect, however, there are NO needles, and you can perform the healing on YOURSELF!!! I know, it seems to good to be true...but trust me, it works.

Anyway, there's a reason you put that out there, and I just had to act on it. I have seen many lives torn apart by people who have eating disorders...if you are wanting to do something as wonderful for yourself as this cleanse, then don't stop there! Address this decade-long habit and free yourself from its' control over you!

You have AMAZING resources right here! We're all in this together, because truly, we ARE ALL ONE!

Hello, I am now on Day 8 and I haven't really had any solid BM's up to this point. Should I being having them? I've eaten pretty healthy for the last couple of years, so maybe I don't have as much toxins clogged in me as those on the SAD. Does that make sense?

I've also not felt the extra energy that many of you talk about. Well, I guess today (day 7) I felt a little more bouncy. I normally run often and my last few runs I've felt tired and heavy. Hmmm.

Lastly, should I do the lax tea on the last day, day 10? And is it best advised to just keep going until your tongue is pink and healthy?

    thanks.

laurel - firstly, congrats for almost finishing! please make sure you break the cleanse properly! soon after my cleanse (i guess i didn't plan it right!) i had to return home and was eating all 'normal' food (pasta, sushi, carbs etc) - my BMs became completely sporadic, i bloated like a whale, and i had these insanely uncomfortable stomach cramps. on my first cleanse, i broke my cleanse properly and i felt fantastic/kept the weight off etc. my advice is that if you have a craving for something (e.g. chocolate) - don't eat it as soon as you're allowed, otherwise you may reawaken your cravings even more and you'll be more likely to gorge yourself. say you fancy chocolate, go eat a date instead. fancy, potato chips, eat some cashews. find healthy substitutes for all the bad foods! and be organised and prepared - have a plan.

if you're at the end of day 9 and you feel starving, i'm inclined to say keep on the cleanse until you feel 'normal'. otherwise you'll be more likely to binge (or i would be if it was me)

Celestial_Voice say bye-bye to the boobage (i've got small ones too). actually, it depends - when you lose weight, where's the first place you lose weight? if it's your breasts, then they'll probably be the first to go. as for sagging, i don't think that's a problem if you've got small breasts. don't worry, once you finish the cleanse they'll equalise i'm sure. good luck i've already started, but everyone will be here to support you!

Gagirl79 have you been drinking enough lemonade and water (to flush out all the toxins)? sounds like serious detox with me (plus coinciding with a period can be quite horrible!) - just look after yourself, can you just relax, take naps, hot water bottle, movie etc etc? fogginess is definitely something i had on my last detox. the most important thing is keep in there as the feelings will pass.

MustBstrong - i've had a few cranky days - all you can do is bite your tongue and grin and bear it. and be aware that the crankiness is due to detox as opposed to the people around you. hopefully your cravings will pass soon, hope you are doing well!

peanutterb, & Supercleanse - glad to hear you are both doing well (peanutterb - i swear baking with other people and sharing around the produce is like one of the most therapeutic things ever !) - keep up the positivity

    ------------

day 9 for me (i keep losing track and have to check my diary often), feeling good!

i have an important oral exam coming up and i'm slightly worried about still being on the cleanse when i have to do it (though i'd rather be on the cleanse than breaking the cleanse). my thought processes have been slower whilst on the cleanse and when speaking about my academic stuff i'm more likely to jumble up words. anyway, i can't worry about it until i find out the date (today)!

    happy cleansing everyone!
