    Well, I got past the feeling of wanting to cave, but soon after figured out that maybe its not a good idea to take some meds on an empty stomach. I became very dizzy and started throwing up...and low and behold my prescriptions said take with food. The doc has me on several meds for my back..pain and muscle relaxers. And after taking the meds today with no food I became sick again.

    I hate to say this but Im going to have to abandon this, at least until my prescriptions are done and my pinched nerve has worked itself out. Im going to eat lite when I take my meds and give this another go in 3-5 days. My prescription is for 10 days, but Im hoping it doesnt take that long being that Im doing nothing but at home resting now. I will be back in a few days...I think Im still going to drink the lemonade for breakfast..I dont take the meds in the morning because they make me VERY sleepy.
    I will talk to you guys soon...lol...when I have to start all over again from day 1

    I'm trying to work my way up to doing a cleanse ... just started the swf day 1 and trying to regain my balance


    CONGRATULATIONS purr! woo hoo! I ENVY YOU! It is NEVER a mistake to drink water, & excellent that you're keeping yourself hydrated. Also I can't imagine there'd be anything wrong with peppermint tea with stevia either (now that you're off the cleanse ).

    uthmanz Yes, that celtic sea salt really is quite mild. I am inspired to hear you say you've decided to change your habits in food AND in life-- HURRAY! hope you keep us posted.

    jan776- thanks for saying we can do it together! and cmlunn12: sorry about the headaches-- since you've done this before, you know they are par for the course, but doing the SWF DOES help. If you possibly can, try again, and make sure you use the celtic sea salt, because, believe me, I've been there with feeling ready to gag .

    Hi all,

    My name is Amanda and I just started my first cleanse. I took the Smooth Move tea last night and did the Salt Water Flush this morning. I also had my first cup of lemonade. I haven't had any elimination yet (well BM), but I read around these parts that can be normal, so I won't stress yet.

    I'm definitely going to do the 10 day minimum but depending on how my body is feeling, I may do a whole 2 weeks.

    Good Afternoon All,

    Well here I am on MC 3 day 14. I plan on going to 20 this time (my other cleanses have been only 10 days). I've had some really heavy detox days but just took it easy and trudged through. I don't own a scale (they are not allowed in my home ) but my clothes are very loose and my husband keeps saying that he can see the difference so that is a deffinite plus. I have a history of kidney stones and the cleanse always helps with that. I fractured my ankle 2 yrs ago and boy has it been aching this cleanse. It's not feeling as stiff and sore today. I'm not hungry at all but the past few days I find that I'm just bored. I am cooking a lot for my family and that is helpful but I really just want something other than lemonade and tea at this point. I am absolutely CRAVING roasted veggies, collard greens and black eyed pea cakes....YYYYYUUUUUUMMMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!

    My tongue is almost pink (something that never happened on past cleanses) so I am really pleased that I decided to push past the 10 day mark this time but good grief I can't wait to have some veggies! I can't see myself ever doing the raw thing but I'll be on just fruits, veggies and nuts for a while (with a small piece of turkey on thanksgiving).

    I've been coming here for almost 2 yrs now on and off so I figured it was time for me to post. Thank you all for your input and advice...its really helpful even for us lurkers.

    Hi Everyone,
    Its day 10. I'm going to reach my goal (10 days) and I'm happy, but for some reason I'm not as excited as I thought I'd be. A little part of me feels like today should not be my last day. My tongue was not pink even a little this morning. Actually it seemed a bit more yellowish (gross I know). I had thought maybe a few more days. The other part of it is that I'm am getting such fantastic results (huge improvements in my complexion, my eyes, hair, figure) I guess I want to see it continue. My bf is encouraging me to go until my tongue is pink. I guess I'm afraid that will take 20+ days. I'm not so excited about that. I'll end up missing Thanksgiving, b/c I need at least 5 or 6 days I feel to re-aquaint my body to real food (even though I am going to really change my diet). I would need to stop by Thursday at the latest really (that would 13-14 days). It seems silly that I'm debating about my health versus Thanksgiving. I just don't even want to go hang out if I can't eat and then there is the factor of explaing why I'm not eating (even being really picky would be better than not eating at all). I don't know what to do. I guess its just one day at a time.

    hey smileygirl: I know what you mean, debating with yourself over Thanksgiving-- good luck! I was just remembering that last year I DID cleanse through Thanksgiving-- and lordy- I should be old enough to be able to decide when and what I'm eating-- and let whatever everyone else thinks be-- but I managed to squeeze by by letting people know that I was going somewhere ELSE for Thanksgiving.

    mia glad you decided to post after these 2 years! guess that's about how long I've been around also. congratulations on attaining the "almost pink tongue"-- I have not yet ever, tells you I still have a long way to go...

    hey Amanda-- I did the smooth move last night, and the SWF this morning-- and NO BM either! oh well. make sure you wait long enough between drinking the SWF and when you drink something else-- to give it enough time to work through your system. I'm wondering what went wrong in my case, and I'm thinking it is something between either I'm too stopped up-- or else too dehydrated and my system just kept that salty water anyway! I will get on the lemonade and then make sure I keep drinking enough so that the same thing doesn't happen tomorrow. sometimes when I am too "stopped up"-- what happens is it takes a while for the gears to get moving, if you know what I mean...

    I'm on the third day and I'm feeling weak. My concern is about dehyration. One of my reasons for doing the cleanse is because I have problems with dehyration and constipation. The first two day, I had 6 glasses of the lemonade drink along with the SWF in the mornings. With the exception of the eliminations after the SWF, I did not have any other eliminations after that--solid or liquid. On the third day, I had some spring water in addition and that seemed to give me more eliminations. I have read in the introduction that one should be drinking 1 oz of fluids for 2 lbs of body weight. I have calculated my intake should be around 67 ozs or about seven 10 oz glasses of fluid daily, not including the SWF. My question is: Is this a guide just for the lemonade drink or can additional plain water be taken in addition?

    Talking Today is the best day of my cleanse!

    I got up this morning and felt a.maz.ing. I woke up before six a.m. on my own, after a very late shoot last night.
    In the shower I had an overwhelming urge to go the the gym for a few hours. I really wanted to try an experiment
    of doing my big toxin release workout and sauna routine BEFORE my SWF to see what that was like.

    I had SO much energy and I didn't get more then 5 hours sleep tops.
    At the gym I had to really push through my regular workout to keep
    my heart rate high enough. What normally has me pouring sweat,
    panting with a racing heart was like a stroll through the park today.

    I have left out though the most important part of this morning -
    when I woke up my tongue was crystal clean PINK!
    When I got back from the gym and woke my better half up I said
    "Hurry put your glasses on - LOOK AT MY TONGUE!"

    I didn't, not for one half of one second think my tongue would get even
    close to pink on this cleanse. I have been being 100% to the book, and
    very good about using the sauna and exercise to move
    more toxins - but I was a very "SAD" girl when I started this cleanse.

    I've heard tongues can clear up, the return to a coated state so
    I am not breaking the cleanse yet. However, if Tuesday rolls around
    and my tongue is still uncoated I am going to break my cleanse Wednesday.
    (Two days early, which will really annoy me, but hitting 30 days is
    less important to me than learning to follow my bodies lead.)

    I am so excited lemonheads!
    Today is a great day!

    speaking of super positive energy-- that would be YOU NewDirection! I am very excited to hear about your PINK! tongue, the workouts & sauna--super cool!

    jryanartist - EXCELLENT that you calculated how much water you should be drinking-- and YES by all means DRINK WATER above and beyond the lemonade! Drinking water is a number 1 priority for good health-- it does amazing things in and of itself, and then when you add all the benefits of the cleanse, you are getting a fantastic "house cleaning"! Water keeps everything moving, we are more than 3/4 water, and without enough of it alot can and does go wrong. Most people are walking around dehydrated & I am unfortunately one of the guilty ones.



    Water - The Miracle Worker

    Simple water -- when it's pure and free of contaminants -- is truly a "wonder drug." Without chemicals, additives, or anything unnatural, a steady dose of 8 glasses of water a day (ideally ½ your body weight in ounces of water) will:

    Hello lemonheads! Today is day 5 and I am so proud that I have made it this far! I have tons of enery, I am not hunrgy nor do I have cravings, I went to the Sonics game and didn't cave when I saw everyone around me eating my favorite fried foods and drinking.. then tonight I went to a friends house and they were making lasagna... my ultimate favorite and I still didn't eat... but I did stare like a vulcture! My energy level is up, I feel fabulous at the gym and have a hard time keeping my heart rate up when normally I would be panting... I am not tired thoughout the day... but I am a zombie come 10pm sleep like a baby and don't want to wake up. I am usually an insomniac.. so maybe this mc is working on my sleeping!

    I do have a question though, before the mc... I was never a huge water drinker or any liquids for that matter. I drank maybe 3 btls of total fluid a day and when I worked out I sweat like a race horse. Since I have been on the mc I have drank GOBS of water more than I have ever in my life but I am not hardly sweating at all. Is this a bad sign or a good sign?
