    Kiropa: I've only been weighing in on the weekends. I went for 5 days and only lost 2lbs. I made up for it the following week but I'm glad I didn't check daily or I would've been disappointed. Weighing in on Saturdays is like a present. The best part is "feeling" the change in my body and the way my clothes fit during my non weigh in days. On occasion I'd gain back a lb or two and I have no idea why. It's just part of the journey.

    I'm currently only on day 2. This morning was rough after I did the salt water flush at 5 am I was still nervous to leave for work at 8am. I have a night class tonight and I'm starting to feel tired. I can't stop thinking about food and all the things I would love to eat. I'm also a little moody...

    I need some motivation.. I wish I could be positive doing this and not complain so much.

    Also does anyone know if it's okay to drink green tea?

    now for another help me question. next tuesday, i have a work dinner. lots of people, i'm just going to not eat and hope no one notices.

    i was just invited to a work lunch on that same day. smaller group of people. in a room -- all sitting around a table.

    i cannot bow out of this event as i am new to the group and really i just can't. i CANNOT tell people that i am cleansing.

    gimme all your tips on 'fake eating' and looking like i may be eating and/or suggestions on what to do.

    i am NOT STOPPING. that is for sure.

    a little more info -- it will probably be a catered lunch with a selections of sandwiches, salads, drinks etc.

    ideas? i'm not going to eat -- i just don't want to call attention to myself. new and all.

    put food on my plate and move it around. what to do, what to do?

    Been fighting fatigue BIG TIME. I know that can be a symptom, but I work a somewhat physical job during the day, and then take classes in the evenings. I'm no spring chicken, so I need my energy. I don't feel like I ever really recovered from falling sick last week.

    I can tell that my metabolism has crashed to a slow crawl since I've been sick, and to combat that a little, I've been adding some light cardio and abs in the morning. Apparently that took out whatever energy reserves I had left as I've been drinking the max allowed LAs and I am S T A R V I N G. As in body starved.

    I'm worried about going off, but I realize the *only* reason I am still on it is for continued weight loss. Seems like not such a good way to change my relationship to food if I continue in that vein.

    I came home from seeing friends absolutely belly cramping hungry this evening and decided I was done. Am sipping diluted miso soup now (its all I had). I know, I know....I'll do the oj tomorrow, but I had to have something now, or I'd wake up in pain tomorrow.

    I'll see how my healthier eating goes, and plan on doing another (shorter) MC towards the end of October.

    Will still be checking in though....since I need all those yummy recipes from the lemonhead box

    following you, tara!!....you did good!!....im hungry for food, too and as it turns out today my tongue is mostly pink! its been a great day...i feel so good and i look bettter and healthier than i have in many years!! i feel good about ending my first and very successful mc! i am amazed how easy doing the 21 days was...I have loved reading everyone's postings and it made all the difference in the world to have you and res and precious and everyone to pump me up, answer my questions and just be there! good luck all you newbies...do not get discouraged....it is so worth doing it right and hanging in there! love you all! meddy

    On day 7 of my first MC, and it's exactly as everyone said. Not as great a day as everything that came before. Actually had an afternoon crash time when I almost fell asleep at my desk! I don't look fab, I'm freezing cold, eyes are more glassy, and my hair is listless.

    BUT...I know this is just day 7 stuff, right? Please please tell me day 8 will take me back to my energetic MC self. I was so psyched to feel lively, SHARP (which used to require caffeine and ginko biloba), and only a little bored about the lack of food ritual (I'm a real foodie, albeit a healthy one).

    At least my cravings involve savory stuff, like a big plate of roasted veggies! I have no interest in breads and sweets right now, which is a change.

    Looking forward to day 8...

    Day 15

    I am feeling great but getting nervous about when to stop. I can't imagine I feel this good and all my friends are telling me that I am getting to thin and will become sick if I continue. I am not sure what I should do... I started the cleanse on Labor Day I was 158lbs when I started now I am 142lbs. I am following the book to the T and I keep loosing weight. I am 5'8' male, anyone offer any advice/support.

    Hi, I'm on day 38 and this is my very first time I have ever tried this before. My goal was to do 30 days the I pushed it back 40 and now I Feel like I can go to 60 days. I've already lost 21 lbs. and inches. So I say Long as you feel well keep the faith and go for it. You have my support -Keeping it Off

    DAY NOTHING!

    So i was looking at my legs and i had big yellow bruises everywhere and it scared me, it explains why my legs hurted so much. Anyway i ate. I feel bad for doing it but i feel good and healthy at the same time? Im starting over in the morning but i feel it was worth me eating earlier in the cleanse(rather than later) to make me realise food doesnt tase as good as you think it does when your cleansing. I ate the foods that i was craving but t didd'nt do anything for me.So im starting fresh tommorow!! But im going to have to overcome some hurdles because my job is very physical and takes alot of energy but i'll give it all ive got.

    Ps. i havn't gained any weight back due to lots of running, and i find half a cup of water fills me up??

    Default day 7 musings

    day 7 and at 9:02 a.m., i can already tell it's going to a good one.

    because -- oh my, what a difference a week makes on this always-interesting ride.

    last thursday, i was mopey, listless, fat, bloated, sad -- almost defeated.

    today, i feel positive, happy, spirited, in-control, ready, motivated.

    how fast things can turnaround.

    congrats to all regardless of the day. what an awe-inspiring accomplishment just to start!
