Thread: What day are you on and How are you doing: General Check in

    Day 5 check in...

    Lost 6lbs to date.
SWF works very easy for me, drink it a 630, and butt pee 4 times by 730, shower and hit the road to work by 8.

Drink the tea before bed, and have some solid BM with the first flush experience.

The SWF went down easier than the first 4 today for some reason...no sure why, it still sucks, but was easier and there wasnt any "almost" vomiting occuring.

Glad to see there are a few guys around....the boob talk and PMSing aren't very enjoyable......

The sad part is this is the weekend, and that will be the toughest part for me....I dont think I have gone without some form of alcohol for an entire weekend since I was 18. (12 yrs ago )

Still no major headaches to write about, and experienced stomach pains only once....so other than missing food, the symptoms are easy going on me...

Just hope I can make it through Friday night Sat and Sun and I am golden.

    Cnote.

    Default Day Four

    Gmorning on Day 4!

peanutterb and Greg333: thanks a lot for your help. I didn't know that the teas did not contain caffeine. Now that I have the tablets, I will probably use them until they are gone, maybe after that I will find Smooth Move. I appreciate your help.

AKTam: welcome-- good luck on your cleanse

Well its early. This is new-- I usually sleep in as much as possible, especially on days off. Today I woke up at 7, totally alert and ready to go. I just drank my SWF for the day, it was much better warmed up. I use a straw too, which I think helps me. Just waiting for it to kick in.

Question: if the SWF does work, I know you are supposed to increase the salt in the solution. So if the inital SWF does nothing after a few hours, can you try again? I took a laxitive last night and my SWF this morning, and nothing has happened yet. I just don't want my body to absorb salt and bloat or gain weight. I am down 9 pounds and am very excited about that. So would it be okay to do another flush with more salt?

I hope everyone has a great cleansing day today. My mantra for Day 4: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

Hey Cleansers, I'm just checking in my second day post-cleanse! I started out pretty good yesterday, drinking only oj/grapefruit juice with water. In the afternoon I tried a banana, which went down pretty well, and later on very slowly some carrots and a couple of teaspoons of tabouleh. NOT a good idea--stomach ache all night long and this morning.

I guess I'm glad my body is reacting badly to food--I learned my lesson and will be extra super careful these next few days. I have a friend who once broke a fast with chicken wings...I called her yesterday and said "good grief, if I couldn't handle carrots I can't even IMAGINE what you must have felt like after hot-wings!"

I'm so grateful for everyone's help and encouragement in this community. I will DEFINITELY be back on my next cleanse, and you guys have inspired me to go for longer next time.

    Thank you!!
    xo

Day one went very well. Lots of energy, slept well. Lost 3 pounds!!! Today is day two and I expect the same. I really do believe that at least half (and probably 3/4's) of the battle of doing a cleanse is psychological. I am determined to do well and have energy and exercise and sleep well and - well, I'll have to remember all that as I get closer to day 14

Off to work now, just wanted to check in...so nice having this board!!!

    Hey'all
My name's Perish from South Africa. I've been on the MC for 14 days before and I lost a whopping 12kgs. I'm looking at starting again on Monday 23rd, anyone else? Could do with the support.

Day 3. Almost threw up the SWF, but managed to get it down. When I explained this cleanse to the guys at work, they were all for it, until I described the glories of the post-SWF festivities. One by one, they walked away.

[QUOTE=cleatus]You step away from the computer for a couple hours and then there's so much catch up to do!

You said it Cleatus! I'm overwhelmed! I've read all the marvelous posts (I laughed, I cried, I swooned over Greg333's huge muscles), but I'm just going to start fresh from this morning with replies, but there's one thing I wanted to address....

irhxcs/Jordan: the sleepiness when you take in calories, especially sugar (like MS) or carbs (also sugar), is a classic symptom of parasite infection. I know - just what you wanted to hear! We ALL have some combination of critters, including candida, fungus and more (ew!!!) Anyway, MC is a major step in the right direction, if this is the case, and after you're done, you might want to look into doing some parasite cleansing which usually consists of of a combination of herbs with an eating plan. And then when you're ready - more MC-ing. Most health food stores have some kind of herbal parasite treatment that you can buy. One of the best experts in this area is Hanna Kroeger - here is a link to the Kroeger website where you can get info and products: http://www.kroegerherb.com/index.html. I think their herbal parasite treatments are superior. The only other suggestion I would have relates to blood sugar - this could also have the sleepiness when you take in sugar/carbs. When you're back to eating normally, you might want to have your blood sugar tested, if you haven't already (MC helps with that too). And, as a general observation for myself, when I am free of any refined/processed sugar or grains, I don't lose my energy when I eat. It's something I continue to be challenged with in my own life. For some people it's specifically wheat and dairy (both mucus-producing and candida-mongering) that have the effect also.

and lastly, nutterbutterpeanutbutter, I'm discussing going longer than 30 with myself too ( ). To be continued..........

okay, me and my giant boobs need to go take out the garbage.......

cnote - the swf gets easier as the days go by. we keep telling people that but they just don't want to believe it i guess.
sorry about all the boob talk

snarky - that's why it pays to research :P
if your swf doesn't work, just wait until tomorrow. drink lots of water today. i wouldn't recommend doing two flushes in one day, esp since you need to do the flush on an empty stomach first thing in the a.m. it should work though, it might take a while. massage your belly, do some twists and be patient. chug some water if an hour has passed and nothing's happened. honestly, sometimes it takes up to 4 days to work for some people.
if you gain any "weight" it's only water weight and is nothing in the scheme of things so don't worry about that.

laurel - thanks for sharing. i can't stress how important it is to break your cleanse slowly. whether or not you have discomfort. your body just can't handle certain things, nor can your metabolism. so pushing too much on it at once can cause stomach pains and diarrhea yes, but also open pandora's box and bring on all types of cravings and bad eating and the pounds, pain and sicknesses you just cleansed away will be right back.

welcome Perish! I'll still be cleansing come monday. Be sure to read the General help for newbies thread before you start.

nylaw - glad you got it down. sometimes i want to throw it up but i am a trooper and i hate throwing up so i hold it and make it work.

supercleanser - if you go longer i'll go longer... we'll talk more about it on monday. For now I'm thinking of going until Wed, which would be 31 days for me. What day will wed have you at?

Well yesterday I finished day 10 of my first MC. Overall this has been a most amazing experience. I was surprised at how much emotional as well as physical cleansing I experienced. It has been good. I had aches and pains but nothing that was not livable. My tongue is beginning to clear and is pink at the back in the middle. I wish that I could stay on the cleanse for longer but I have a really demanding class starting up in 5 days where I can't take care of myself properly on the cleanse. I will definitely do this again. It was a great experience for a first time cleanse. Now I will be beginning back on food. Today it will be orange or grapefruit juice.
Thanks for all the support that is found here. Marion

    Default Hold up.

peanutterb: please don't patronize me with "it pays to research." I have spent hours looking over information and books, sometimes questions arise that I can't find, or it is just easier to post on here. Feel free to ignore my questions, as you seem put out everytime I ask them.

Hope everyone has a great day today cleansing.
