I've decided to start tonight, and I have drank my first glass this evening which will be followed by the dreaded lax tea.

I've done it about three times before and the first time was much easier it's great when you're on it with someone.

Anyway, I'm doing it for 14 days and I am looking forward to it, I'm not so sure how I will start eating afterwards, but I should be done by the time all the Holiday functions start, I have to work on my vegtable intake during this time!

Oh! by the way does anyone know anything about the storing process, I tend to like to make it by the gallon or two, and just pour when needed.
Does anyone know how it stays?

I'm starting Thursday. Got all my supplies yesterday and have made a couple of lemonades already to get use to making them. This is MC2 for me...the first several years ago. I also got limes this time which I didnt last time and I'm glad because the taste is different.

I got a big headache after I drank one of the lime drinks. I'm not fasting yet so maybe it was a response to the lime juice.

Anyway...I see so much on here about headaches I thought I'd mention I got one and haven't even started yet!

    Hi December folks!

Consuela: The lemon mixture is actually best if you can make it glass by glass...but c'mon, who has time for that? I make a big jug in the morning and tote it along with me the whole day. I then make one more fresh glass when I get home form work. I strongly suggest not refrigerating it or letting it sit longer than 8 or 10 hours. I did a chemistry project in college where I tested how cooking and storing methods affected the Vitamin C content of lemon juice. The best was fresh, the worst was microwave (not a BIT of Vit C left after 30 seconds). Leaving the juice on the counter for 5 hours reduced the Vit C content by about 25% but refrigerating reduced it by almost 50%.

Also, the Ceyenne gets stronger as the day goes by. When this cleanse is over, I'm going to try this mixture with a little vodka and some ice!

Just finished the book and can't wait to get started! I'll start on Sunday since the book said the second day can be pretty bad, I'm off Monday so I can stay in bed if I need to.

I'm starting tonight with the senna tea and tomorrow will be my first day of the cleanse. I know that it's still officially November but since the cleanse will take me well into December I figure that makes me a December cleanser. This is my first time doing the cleanse but I have been wanting to for a long time. I am also quitting smoking cold turkey - - might as well detox from everything all at once, right? I am nervous though, but I know I can do this. Seems like a funny time of year to clease with all the indulgences of the Christmas season coming up but this is the time that feels right for me so here I go! I am tired of being weighed down with the dirty feeling that comes along with not eating right and being addicted to nicotine. I just want to be clean and that, my fellow cleansers, is my motivation for doing this cleanse. Although I must admit that any additional weight loss will be lovely

Edited to ask: Does anyone know if it's all right to add Maple Syrup to the tea? I find that it's much easier to swallow with a tiny bit of MS but I don't know if I should.

I am starting the cleanse tomorrow and very excited but nervous. Got the idea from a friend and seemed like a good idea after I got the book and read it. I have terrible health and eating habits and I want to try to change them, so I though the MC would be a good start.

I am quitting smoking cold turkey too! Just had my last cigarette and my tea. Not really sure how I am going to do with this since I'm practically and alcoholic and a chain smoker, but I really need to stop.

I used to use drugs pretty heavily but haven't for awhile now, and have never really gone through any sort of detox or cleanser. Has anyone gone through this experience, or known anyone to do the MC after a few years of drug use? I'm kind of concerned with how rough it will be, or if it will even be any different.

We'll see how it goes.Caffeine headaches and nicotine cravings my just be the end of me.

    Hi Guernica
I don't have any answers for you because this is also my first time (we're cleanse virgins, lol) but I just wanted to comment on your post because you could be describing me!! I used to be a heavy drug user as well, which has been replaced in the last 7 years by an serious Tetley tea and cigarette addiction. I know that caffiene withdrawal is a b!tch nevermind nicotine withdrawal but from the sounds of it, the early detox symptoms are similar anyways so I'm ready to do it all at once. It's probably going to be hard but soo worth it in the end. Determination is the key!!

Anyways, Good luck to you! I'll need some luck too, hahaha.

I have a couple of questions- today 11/29/06 is day one for me. First, do you have to use fresh lemon juice as opposed to bottle lemon juice and why? Secondly, I'm currently exercising 5 days out of the week, with 5 cardio sessions. Will this affect my ability to exercise at all ?

Good luck to those MC newbies
