    Smile November Cleansing post here

Sharon (my wife) and I are doing the cleanse again for the second time starting Monday october 30. We're excited. My results the first time were excellent with lossof 15 pounds that I have kept mostly off. I think i'm down about 12 pounds right now from wehn i came in. So we're gearing up again and am looking forward to future posts on this thread.

Hey PnutterB! 'member us? Good to see you're still posting. I'm sure sharon will be on here soon.

Hey Pnutter... how often do you do it? We figured every three months. But come to think of it, i think this is going to be the 4th month. Can't recall when we did it before.

I don't think we're going to go for more than 10 days. Last time we had planned 14 but at 10, sharon was done. I mean DONE. She was perusing gourmet food sites all day that day. (It was really hilarious!) But, I definately want to do more at some point. Maybe the one we do in February. Hmmm.

I was relieved to hear you say they get easier (I think it was you) after the first. Sharon was telling me that it's harder based on something she read.

Anyway, we're (I'm) excited and just about ready to go. Coffee stops for me next Wednesday as i head into the home stretch. (Couldn't stop the coffee. Love it too much!)

    See ya soon.

i did my first one in march, my second in july into aug and then this one in oct. it was less than 3 months, but my body was calling for it.

i may or may not get easier. it really all depends. but what is "easier" vs "harder" what's better is that you know what to expect and everything isn't so nervewracking.
my cleanses were all different. with unique differences and improvements. my second one was rough in the beginning bc i went into heavy detox quickly. my 3rd was easier. no cravings for bad foods.

Hey Miss P. We are going to have to tie it so that we really do the cleanse together -one of these times... I am thinking it is going to be harder because I NEED to think that. I have this theory that if you think it will be easier because you already did it, so how hard could it have been etc you go in expecting it to be easier and then you are hit with an uphill battle. I hated it really-I loved the message board -although I had my suspisions that some people were munching pizza-but the no coffee no energy part was hell on wheels. I liked losing weight and somehow it is easier to eat nothing than to eat correctly- whatever THAT is. I figure that most people gain between 5 and 10 pounds over the holiday period so I might as well get a jump on it with the cleanse. Then I am getting my butt over to weight watchers to ride out the holidays. How's the love life? the poetry? Moms and sister? How was your b-day. Did you get my e-mail(s)?
Anyone else out there starting on Monday the 30th of October???

I did my 1st mc for 10 days sept-oct. I will be starting the 2nd mc on 1 Nov. Some observations: I don't like red meat, dairy, or anything but live fruits and vegetables now. I used to eat all the above. I used to drink daily, but have lost that desire as well. A glass of red wine occasionally is good. I still smoke, but almost have it whipped. Greens taste better all the time. I enjoy going shopping for organic foods now. My typical daily diet is a green smoothie for breakfast, juiced greens/veggies/fruit with juiced ginger/garlic for lunch, and a mixed salad of greens, veggies, and sprouts for dinner. My wheatgrass/barleygrass supplies arrive this week, and I have begun a worm compost bin. This first fast has obviously changed my life! I am 53 and have muscular dystrophy. Before the cleanse, I was tired, had severe insomnia, and now I am busy from dawn til dusk. Boy, do I have lots of work to catch up on! I have been testing my saliva and urine pH, and it is now up from below 6.0 to around 6.6 in the urine, but fluctuates from below 6 to slightly above 6 in the saliva. This tells me I am beginning to heal, and that the right foods are now being consumed, but I have a long way to go. I plan to use juiced jalapenos for the cayenne this fast, because I like it hot, and want to see faster results. My circulation is poor in the hands and feet from lack of exercise due to the muscular dystropy. Rubbing cayenne juice on your hands and feet will warm them up for a few days. Try a diluted tincture or juice and add to it until you find your comfort zone. I welcome all comments. peace

Red face Re: November Cleansing post here

    Hi Everyone,

I’ll be starting my first cleanse on Friday the 27th. I figure the first day may not be too bad so I’ll save the weekend for my Day 2 & 3. I’ve found most of my supplies, but the organic lemons at Wild Oats were $1.59 EACH, so I’m going to look elsewhere Thursday evening. I’m a little nervous and my husband thinks the SWF will kill me… the whole if you’re in a ship wreck and all there is ocean water thing. From what I understand from reading the book, your body doesn’t absorb the uniodized salt right? Anyway, I’ll probably wait until day three to try that and just take the tea twice a day. My sister recommended the cleanse and the boards and she’s doing quite well so I’m going to try it!

    Hey there PnutterB....

Couldn't log on until today so i missed your post from the 22nd. what's different for me this time is that i"ve got a lot of back pain so i'm holding out for the cleanse to affect a positive change where chiropractic is not working quite as well as in the past.

Just read from WildWily and don't understand why you're starting the cleanse just 30 days after finishing the first. Burroughs/Glickman suggests quarterly and I haven't seen anything indicate more frequent than that. Be careful... please.

Xstie - I really loved my first (and only) cleanse. I mean REALLY loved it! I lost weight, i felt good, had energy (and headaches... oh yeah, those!). The board is really great support when you need it the most and the likes of PnutterB who is often on here really can be a great lift. Check in regularly and tell us everything (well, maybe not EVERYTHING, if you know what i mean). I'm starting my 2nd cleanse on the 30th and gearing up now for it which is only to say that i'm getting my mindset in the right place.

Hi, Adam L. Thanks for the concern, but I think a 2nd fast of 10 days is ok, considering I only did 10 days the first time. Some fasters do 20+ days their first time, so I feel I will be ok. My diet has changed so dramatically after my first fast, and I feel I'm ready for some healing crisies this next time around. I'll let you know how it goes, and good luck with your upcoming fast.

Hey all! I have a question. I am on day 4 (1st time MC) and was wondering if it is bad to add some MS to the tea. Also, I have to admit to having a few extra spoonfuls of the MC by itself! I always compensate with water, but am wondering if this is bad. I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks!
