I am curious. How about Aloe Vera Juice? I speak of PURE Aloe Vera Juice. I think they have that kind of stuff to help friendly bacteria fight bad bacteria or something... I have to look at it again.

I have struggled with what appears to be tinea versicolor for the better part of a year now. It was "under control", but has flared back up since I started the cleanse. I am on day 5. I started using a steroid cream that my dermatologist prescribed for it, but wonder if I should not use that and just see what happens with the cleanse.

I really don't want it to get worse though - it's on my torso and underarms.

    Any suggestions?

I have had Candida yeast overgrowth for years. I have taken ThreeLac probiotic on and off several times in the last couple years, and it has helped. I used to have a lot of sinus headaches and drainage, and when I take the ThreeLac, the headaches are very much reduced in frequency and the drainage is much better, too.

I am starting my second cleanse today. The first one was in March and lasted 10 days. During my first cleanse, I noticed a lot of my eliminations looked rather mucus-y (like egg whites in consistency) which continued for most of the cleanse. I think that was candida overgrowth being eliminated. After the cleanse, I went back on the ThreeLac, and I feel that the candida was well-controlled at that point.

However, as usual, something came along to break the supplement habit (went on vacation for a week), and never got back to taking the ThreeLac, and I'm beginning to feel the sinus pressure again. The other symptom is coughing and throat-clearing due to the drainage from my sinuses. So I'm doing the cleanse again, and after I'll take the ThreeLac again. Getting rid of candida is not the only reason I'm doing the MC, but it is definitely a big part of it.

One of the resources I've used for information about candida on the web is www.candidasupport.org. They are affiliated with the company that makes ThreeLac, but it is still good information.

What is the deal? I never had problems with Candida (specifically vaginal itching and acne type of breakouts) until my 5th day on the cleanse and almost consistantly thereafter-on and off. I began re-searching this website (as soon as it occurred while on my cleanse) for answers and found out that Candida was the culprit. I have taken pro-biotics on and off for about 3 years now and the issue hasn't been resolved. I understand that sugars and yeast foods must be removed from the diet for 2-3 months minimum, however I am wondering why did it rear it's ugly symptoms During and AFTER the cleanse? GRRRRR. It is so annoying! I drink super greens daily; drink mostly only water (twice per week I will indulge in a "sweet" drink); I take 10-15 billion count pro-biotics; eat fruits/veggies each day; I have low-yeast bread once a day (approx. 2 slices); I may have a bite of a cookie or sweet every few days. I don't drink juice or soda; I don't eat fried food but once every few weeks. I consume a fairly healthy diet-am I really consuming an excess of sugar and yeast? I don't think that's excess-am I wrong?

From Dr Mercola's site. To download the free report you may have to sign up. It's free too.

If you think you may be suffering from a yeast-related problem, keep reading. My free special report, available for download below, will teach you how to identify Candida overgrowth and, more importantly, how to overcome it.

Millions of people are currently fighting a battle against a single-cell fungus they cannot see. This fungus belongs to a family of yeasts called Candida albicans, and under normal circumstances it’s a harmless part of your skin, intestines, and for women, your vagina.

But Candida cells develop rapidly, and if your system is out of balance from eating unhealthy foods, taking certain prescription drugs, fighting an illness, and more -- Candida can quickly grow out of control. The result is an astounding array of health problems that can rob you of energy and interfere with your ability to enjoy life.

What’s worse most conventional doctors do not recognize the symptoms of Candida overgrowth, and are clueless about how to cure it.

Because Candida overgrowth, or Candidiasis, is so often overlooked by physicians, it’s difficult to say exactly how many people may be affected, but estimates suggest that up to 80 million Americans may suffer from yeast-related problems -- and 70 percent of them are women.

Some common conditions that indicate you may have Candida overgrowth include:
    Irritable bowel syndrome
    Vaginitis
    Food allergies
    Migraines
    Asthma
    Chronic fatigue
    PMS
    Fibromyalgia
    Yeast infections
    Cancer
    Weight gain
    Depression

As you can see, the list is long and varied, and the symptoms mimic those caused by many other diseases.

This is a VERY important topic for many women as up to 75 percent of all women will experience a yeast infection in their lifetime.

    But why is that?

I believe one of the most important reasons is the overconsumption of processed foods and foods high in sugar, both of which serve as fertilizer for the growth of yeast and fungi in your body.
Oral contraceptives are also a factor, as these synthetic hormones create an environment that is conducive to yeast overgrowth. And, last but not least, overuse of antibiotics, which kill off both good and bad bacteria and promote the growth of fungi and yeast, contributes to making this such a common health problem.

    www.mercola.com for the entire article.
Healthy things grow, Growing things change, Real growth is measureable.

Ok this is concerning my cleanse last year in March I did the MC for 9 days and afterwards, had major yeast infections one after the other as well as bacterial vaginosis , which is also just an imbalance of the bacteria. So , I went to the doc and had to go on quite a few phases of prescriptions...unpleasant.
BUT I am currently on day 8 of the MC trying for 14 -20 days and have had quite different symptoms and reaction this time around so will see if the same problem arises or if it may do the opposite ! I will keep you all posted.

How do I deal with candida. I thought the master cleanse would be the answer but it's not because yeast thrive in an alkaline atmosphere (lemon) and feed on sugar (maple syrup) this last time I only made it three days on the cleanse before getting a yeast infection. Now I know this is because of the yeast overgrowth in my gut, because of the health problems I had a few years ago and all of the antibiotics I let the doctors put me on. I'm scared to do the master cleanse again before I handle this yeast thing, and next time I am doing molasses or yacon syrup. My friend said you get a lot less up and down with it too since the yacon is so low on the glycemic index. Does anyone have any solution or experience with aiding this problem?

Do mlasses or yacon syrup, depends on your budget yacon is the best but costs more. The molasses doesn't have sugar that your body can digest, it's a lot better for you just tastes a little different. But don't try the cleanse without syrup or one of those, that would be pointless.

hi wow that was kind of controling..this site is hard to navigate i was thinking rather than be reprimanding, you may want to try asking why they posted more than once...maybe they did not get the answer they were seeking, maybe there are having a hard time navigating...as a person new to the cleanse and these kinds of sites i would feel very put off by this commment

i know you mean well but wonder if you consider a different helpful approach with questions rather than a reprimand?
    thanks for considering
