Thread: Detox Stages

    JChiron,

    Sounds like detox to me!

I can't tell you if the symptoms will leave before the end of your cleanse, but it's likely. Detox usually clears up in a couple of days, often by the next morning's eliminations.

If they don't, then they will leave very soon after you end your cleanse (and will likely reappear when you do another).

    Hang in there!

I am on day 13; like you, I have not had dramatic detox symptoms. There were some white spots on my tongue -- which have since disappeared -- but no coating. I've been a strict vegan for 10 years, but this is my first cleanse.

Also, I am still eliminating regularly (3 or 4 times in the morning, following the SWF). Could this be from the pulp in the lemonade, as I am not straining it out?

I'm not sure when to stop; my goal was to get through day 14, but if I'm still passing "stuff" I am not sure I should. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Navva

    navva,

Once you're past the minimum of 10 days, it's really up to you to decide if you want to continue or not. Burroughs says up to 40 days can be done safely.

Everyone who's done long cleanses says that "stuff" keeps coming out, and sometimes in large amounts very late in their cleanse! So I don't think it's from lemon pulp, which is also perfectly okay to leave in your lemonade. Your body is still producing waste, so I guess that's to be expected. And maybe some of that surprising waste is stuff that was stuck in there for a long time.

I'm one who has very few noticeable detox symptoms, and those I do have usually show up only after day 10 (or even day 14 or day 16). You are still cleansing and doing yourself good, though, so don't despair that things are easy!

We always suggest that you not stop a cleanse on a "detox day". Thus, after day 10 it's best to stop when things are going well. So you can simply go day to day and decide--but always go at least one more day after a day with symptoms.

Congratulations on a successful 13 days!

If you don't receive an aswer it's probably because no one knows the answer. There are quite a bunch of people who check the new posts daily.
I probably missed your question, if you feel like ask it again, and I'll gladly help you if I can.

I am a newbie, doing my first cleanse ever and are on day 6 and feeling good & going strong. Here are my concerns...I had no problem on day 1, but woke up on day 2 feeling like i had been hit by a bus and dragged all day with feelings of contraryness and negativity. Day 3 felt like myself and continue to do so even today. Where are all the detox symptoms? I am doing everything perfectly, the only thing I have changed is I do 6 glasses of lemonade vs. the 12, and I use slightly less maple syrup per cup (like 1 & 1/4 tbsp. vs. the 2 tbsp.) because it says you can reduce the amount if you are trying to lose weight. Other than that, I am right on...tea at night, SWF in morning, 6 lemonades a day, eliminating no problem (except sometimes in middle of night, do not like that). Everything I am using is organic including lax. tea, syrup grade B, lemons, cajun pepper, sea salt...

Why am I not feeling ill, I WANT TO DETOX. I have asthma and arthritis and they are both 30-50% improved and I have lost 20 pounds!!! But I feel great other than day 2.

My water, I am using 365 Distilled from Whole Foods, is that okay?

Also, I have asthma so HAVE to use my inhaler when challenged with breathing, I have to breathe, but using about 1/2 as much. Could that be interfering in my detox, anybody know?

thanks, let me know if you see wholes anywhere,

    ssnelle

    Snelle,

It's not written anywhere that you must to feel sick from the detox. During my first cleanse I had much more detox symptoms. This time it's an easy breeze (more than a year went by in between cleanses!). You're body still eliminate toxins, even if you don't fell crappy. Most of the people feel upbeat and energized on most days. And anyway, the dreaded day 7 is still front of you!
No worries, do the cleanse at is written, you're detoxing! Regarding to your medication: if you need to use the inhaler use it, your body still benefits from the cleanse. You might want to do some reading on the raw vegan lifestyle, it helped lots of people to heal, even from asthma. I recommend to read Victoria Boutenko 12 Step To Raw Food. Keep an open mind and you might decide to take a 30-day challange after you're done with the cleanse!

    Good luck!

Thanks Bogi! Now I am on the end of day #11 and still going strong, still no detox symptoms?! Day #2 felt like I was hit by something, day #7 a little hungry, day #8 a little weak and disoriented, but that is it. Do not get it. I also am not eliminating as much as I would like to. Are you sure my inhaler (albuterol) is not interfering with anything? I have to use it to breathe, but using significantly less
(2-3 puffs per day vs. 12 before the cleanse). Today if I am having any detox it is I want to eat today (first time in 8 days or so) and that my breathing is heavier, so have needed my inhaler a bit more (3 puffs so far today). I lost ALOT of weight in the first 6 days (21 pounds) but now in the last 4 days only lost another 4 . Today is day #11 so we will see what tomorrow brings. Going for 20 days, wish me luck!

I am on day 19 of a 30 day cleanse. I am having a hard time with desiring to eat. I have lost 8lbs and work out daily running 2-4miles a day. Otherwise I am feeling great. Just am curious about the sudden hunger when the cleanse has been so great up until now. I did a 15 day in July of last year and lost 10lbs in the first week. The weight loss is not a big deal to me only that I want to be doing this correctly. could someone help me out with some info- thanks!
