I was the same way with the stomach grumbling. I kind of made a game out of by seeing if anyone else could hear my stomach and imagining what the reaction would be ... lol. But, when it grumbles too loud, I drink as much water as possible to make that empty feeling subside.
What modernmonkey said. I write down my "meals" to make sure I don't go overboard. Before I mix a fresh lemonade drink, I ask myself if I'm hungry (actually ready for a meal) or just thirsty because they say thirst and hunger can be confused. At any rate, I drink a big glass of water first ... to be certain that what I'm feeling isn't just thirst.
