    Oh and one more question...

I spoke to my mom today and she was concerned about not having energy for my move. I told her that I will have ( according to all the posts ) Enormous Energy. Then ( you know moms ) She said, energy is one thing... Strength for the move is another.

What do you think? Will I be weaker. That will be in 15 days from now? I really would love to try to go that long. Or do you think I should cut it short a few days and introduce my self slowly ( ofcourse ) to foods before the move? Will it make a difference? What do you think?

    Hi

I really want to start this cleanse as soon as possible. My friend told me about it and she told me that i need a cleansing herb (i ended up getting fibre cleanse) lemons, spring water, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup.

The fibre cleanse has pysillum in it.

Can someone please give me the basics of what i need to do and what quantities. Having a young baby doesnt give me much time to read all the threads and not to mention draining my energy hence doing the cleanse.

    thanks so much
    C

Hey Grey, feeling cold is normal on the cleanse. It's bc your metabolism has slowed down. I find that hot tea, warm lemonade, gloves and long walks in the sun really helped during my last cleanse. A large part of the reason I'm cleansing in October is because it's not as cold as November. Egad, just the thought of it is making me shiver.

FoxyKat, Glad I could be of help. I know how tough and confusing this process can be. I think you should go 20 days. I'm the biggest cheerleader of going longer. It only benefits you more.
I'm a sweetaholic too, I'd eat cookies for lunch instead of real food if you let me.

As for your moving and your strength, you should be fine. The hardest part is up to day 7ish, by day 10 it's smooth sailing, I find by day 13, I'm on autopilot and don't even feel like it's weird squeezing lemons or any of that stuff. I had the most energy from day 12 to day 20. Days 19 and 20 I swear I wasn't even walking, I was floating.

Yes, each cleanse gets easier I heard. My detox symptoms were different on my second than on my first but I feel like they were more intense on my second. But I don't know if you have less poop because you ate in between and put more in there you know? but if you ate better in between then i guess there is a difference. hmm, i really don't know. I think the biggest thing is that your body is used to cleansing so it embraces it quicker.

Hey Clare_L can I just call you Clare?
You need to get Stanley Burroughs book, The master cleanser. It's available in your local bookstore and online - from the webstore here and from amazon.com. The book is maybe 30 pages long and is a very quick read. You can finish it during one of the baby's naps. Doing the MC is a big deal and it really helps to be properly informed on what you're doing and why you're doing it in order to know what to expect and to not do anything to harm yourself.

Take some time to read the FAQs that Peter has laid out, there is so much valuable information there. Also read the General Help for Newbies thread, starting from page one. There are tips, adivce and what to expect there as well that you will find very helpful.

Your friend advised you incorrectly. Pysillium is actually not recommended or needed on this cleanse. This is explained in Burroughs in the book. You don't need or want fibre because you are trying to get rid of OLD waste that's in your intestines. i've read that you can lose up to 15lbs of old waste.

Please take the time to do some research. Knowledge is power. It helps to know about detox symptoms and other things that might pop up and also to know HOW to do the cleanse correctly so that you can get the full benefits. There is always ten days to do the cleanse, so make sure when you do it, you do it right.

Whitedog, sounds like Mr. Whitedog is going thru detox. Make sure he drinks alot of water. Why won't he get on here? We've had husband wife teams on the boards before. it's lots of fun really. Tell him that. Tell him it's fun. maybe you can post for him and tell him all the support and replies he's getting. I'm def in his corner cheering him to go on. He's super lucky to have you there to hold his hand when he's down and smack his buttocks when he's thinking about quitting and to run with him when he's feeling great. Hang in there Mr. Whitedog! you can do it.

How long as you guys planning to go for? I'm doing about 10 - 14 unless I feel compelled to do more. My first MC was 13 days, 2nd was 20 and in Spring I plan to do 30 or 40 so right now for fall I'm just doing a quickie I guess.

I genuinely love cleansing. It's is one of my fav things to do because it leaves me feeling so clean, free, strong and amazing. It's a feeling you can't get from anything else. Just doing something that is borderline impossible and succeeding and feeling good while doing it is an awesome feeling.
This is my first MC and I decided that I will go for 10 days and if I am in the mood, may be longer. I am a water faster, and about two months ago after two years break fasted for 7 days drinking only water. It was VERY difficult this time, I did not feel good and I stopped. I hope MS will work better, and I also think I really badly needed support which I did not have while on water fast (I never share at work my health habits because I hate listening to all those reflections of co-workers when they sit and chew doughnuts and tell me I will die because I will not be chewing those!). So, yeah, go for 10 days, and more if it works well for me.

BTW, do you know if anybody ever tried drinking tea in the morning and salt flush in the evening?
Thanks to all of you, October guys, for believing in the power of one through the power of many

Hi Yaya - cute name! Well, the stomach has to be EMPTY, totally empty - no water even - for it to work. So that's why it's just used in the morning. If you can't manage that during the week or when you work, just do the lax tea morning and evening, but try to do the SWF at least once or twice a week. It works great! And it helps you feel better by pulling all the released toxins out of the body.

Ahhhhhh! I see...OK, I guess I will try week-end flushes - I have never done it before (the solt flush)so would not risk to do it at work:-) Thanks for explaining !

I'm wrapping up on Day 3 on the MC. For the most part, aside from some minute headaches and such, I'm doing okay.

Last night after posting my update, I did feel a bit more weary and my head felt heavy but that went away this morning.

And I actually got through the salt water even faster this morning. I guess my body's getting used to it.

Day 4 is a work day and I start it off with a three hour meeting at 9AM. That means I'll have to get up at 5AM to do the flush so that I'll hopefuly be done by 7AM.

I'll also drink one before the meeting and just have my water at my side throughout. I'm hoping nobody brings donuts...*LOL*.

YEAH! tonight is the eve of my MC3.

I almost wanted to not do it earlier because of course I want to eat everything. But I'm excited about starting and looking forward to the stability that comes with not eating or worrying about eating.

I decided this cleanse not to weigh myself. No scales. No pounds. No stress. I'm not too concerned about losing weight nor do I want that to consume me. I'm more concerned on health and focus. (I might do inches because that's more reliable anyway.)

    So... onward cleansers!
