    Bottled water is preferable to fluridated tap water ANY day!

    I would be be leary of agave syrup, it is not "raw" like many labels claim and there are many issues with its sugar balance. Please read this post: http://www.living-foods.com/articles/agave.html

    mornin,

    newbie here!. I plan on starting my 30 day fast this weekend and i know i saw on here somewhere that its okay to keep taking the iron supplements. Is it also okay to chew sugarfree gum when i feel the need to eat. i looked on the packet and it only has 2 carbohydrate and 5 calories a stick.

    No gum! It isn't about the calorie count. It's about confusing messages to your body. You want to shut down digestive processes so your body can release toxins and heal. Just chewing and tasting the gum defeats that purpose.

    You can and should continue to take any prescription meds during a cleanse. Just don't take them until your SWF has finished its work in the morning.

    I am starting on my cleanse today and I wondered about natural homeopathic medecines. I haven't taken any yet but I have some drops from Nature's Sunshine for my back for sciatica called Sciatica. Coming up on 3 months since back surgery but since I've been back at work I've had some minor irritation which I believe is related to the disc that wasn't repaired(I had two damaged, one worse than the other). I figured it would be ok since it's supposed to be natural and it's liquid. Pretty sure I can tolerate whatever discomfort I have during the cleanse, but I'd rather relieve this nagging pain if I can.

    Active ingredients: gnaphalium polycephalum(everlasting) 4x, capsicum(cayenne) 6x, colocynthis(bitter apple) 6x, lycopodium clavatum(club moss) 6x, kali carbonicum(potassium carbonate) 8x, rhus toxicodendron(poison ivy) 8x.

    Other ingredients: purified water and 20% usp alcohol.

    Did my first cleanse (10 days) in December. Followed it to a T and was pretty successful, with fewer craving than expected after the first few days. I did, however, lost a little more muscle definition than I would have liked.

    Three points of interest (I'm pretty sure I know what Peter would say, but I'm interested in hearing thoughts/experiences from the community):

    1.) I'm thinking about exercising during the cleanse this time. I'm curious to hear about people's experience exercising on the cleanse.

    2.) I read that Beyonce at vegetables during her cleanse, and thought that adding (minimal) protein-rich raw veggies (broccoli, spinach) might help me maintain muscle mass and give me an extra buffer for the exercise. Any thoughts?

    3.) Finally, I was unemployed at the time of my first cleanse, and that period is something of a blur. I'm not sure if that's due to my blues over unemployment, or if the cleanse impacted my memory/concentration. I'll be working during this cleanse (desk job - not terribly interesting to begin with), so I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the challenges of maintaining focus while on the cleanse at work.

    Hi, this is my first mc and it seemed pretty easy over the weekend when I was home but yesterday (day 4) was a huge challenge at work! I work at a BP gas station and couldn't catch my breathe to drink as much as I needed to, I ended up with a HUGE! headache that just wasn't going away I gave in and ate some solid food to c if that would work and I got a HUGE! stomach ache from that. I was dizzy, weak, nauseous and I still had a headache. I drank the tea last night, feel good this morning so we will c what happens today...guess since I ate solid food I wasted the 3 previous days and its like starting all over again today. n e way, I wish you the best!

    It it ok to add the remaining lemon juice to my water?
    i like water with lemon and i don't want to waste it -- will this hinder my cleanse?
