    Default first timer

    this is my first time.
i routinellly enjoy a 5 o'clock foot bath consisting of purified water and volcanic clay+herbs, followed by 10 minute sun basquing. should i suspend it just for the duration of the mc?
I am also about to have work done with a holistic dentist, on a old root canal that did not last. should i wait to do it after the dental work?
    kindly,
    isa

    foot bath = no problem

    holistic dentist = what?? ??

what is involved with a visit to the holistic dentist? as long as there isn't anything injested you *should* be okay to do the MC

I wish I had the time and a regular daily routine where I could take an hour outta my day to lounge in the sun and soak my kicks in some clay and herbs :

    Hi there,
the bath should be fine, I don't see any harm in that.
Is there any way you can wait to do the root canal until after your cleanse? It can be very toxic...Check with your holistic dentist. If she/he knows her/his ****, they'll be familiar with the Master Cleanse!

Default I don't want to lose weight

Hi, I am new to MC and I have a concern about my weight. I am 5 feet and 92 lbs. On the slim side although my doctors never say anything about my weight, guess they are not worry. I have always been this way since my teenage years ( I am 38 now). I can eat a lot but still maintain this weight range. Now my question is, I want to get the benefits of the Master Cleanse but I am worry about losing weight. I have read that people losing 10 to 30lbs, and since I am already about 10 pounds short to my ideal weight (according to google search engine), I really shouldn't be losing much weight at all. Is there a way to do the MC without losing too much weight? Thanks.

Default First MC -salt water and maple syrup questions

Hi, this is my first time and I am now on second day. I have some questions and appreciate any suggestions. I was 8 pounds underweight before the cleanse, so I am using double amount of maple syrup to prevent losing weight during this cleanse. Looks like I lost 2 lbs anyway the first day, but we'll see how it goes.

Since I am using 4 tablespoons of maple syrup, I mixed 3 Tbp into the lemonade and after I finished the lemonade, I drank the last Tbp of maple syrup on the side and flush it down with 1 or 2 tbp more water. That seems to getb rid of the spicy aftertaste, is that O.K. or consider cheating?

I gag on the salt water this morning and threw up 1/4 or 1/2 cup of that, so I drank 1/2 cup of laxative tea immediately to make up, is that O.K. to do or I shouldn't even need to bother with the laxative tea.

    Thanks.

    Hello everyone!

I bought Peter's book and after reading it carefully from cover to cover I have decided to prepare myself first for the Master Cleanse. Not too long ago I did a detox using another method. On day four I became violently ill. I have never been so sick in my life. In fact, I feared for my life. This is no joke.

I thought it was something I had ingested but after reading Peter's book, I realize I am so full of toxins that the release of these toxins literally poisoned me. I wish I had read Peter's book earlier but I had no idea what effect doing a detox could have one me.

I am overweight, normally eat a lot of meat and cheese, and no doubt have a chemical overload in my system from eating processed food.

To prepare for the MC, I am drinking the Smooth Move tea at night and in the morning hot lemon juice, instead of coffee, with maple syrup for sweetener. I have stopped drinking Diet Coke, which I have been addicted to, and am eating mostly fresh fruit and vegetables. I'm drinking half my body weight in ounces of water per day and exercising three times a week for at least one hour. I feel so much better - although, at first, I felt extremely achy, tired and depressed.

Slowly, but surely, I feel as of I’m coming out of a deep fog. I look forward to the real deal (MC) but after my experience with the other detox I realize that jumping in head first would not have been a good idea for me. Like Peter said, if you're overweight, have been ingesting a lot of chemicals and/or meat and dairy products, plus consuming heavy amounts of caffeine or whatever, get off these things and do a pre-cleanse first. This makes total sense!

Hi, I was the one who made the first post that you responded to about underweight. I was 6 to 8 lbs underweight (don't know how accurate is my scale ) before my cleanse (first time) . This is my 6th day, so far so good. Don't have much of a detox symptom which makes me kind of worry. First day and second day all went on smoothly. A little tired ( but I have always been this way) but no discomfort. 3rd day start to think about food and maybe therefore felt kind of hungry at times. I think I have lost 2 to 3 lbs since this cleanse even though I doubled the maple syrup (except yesterday I used three TBP because I prefer it less sweet and I think I might have lost 1/2 to one pound this morning). I am pretty sick of salt water so this morning I decided to use laxative tea instead, the frequency of elimination has reduced quite a bit the first couple of hours. I have high metabolism and have a very hard time gaining weight and I get hungry pretty quickly even if I don't do much. Not sure if that's the reason why I still lose weight even when I doubled the maple syrup. I drink 10 cups of lemonade per day. So far I don't feel any different. I am going to shoot for 10 days if I don't lose too much weight. Hope this helps. I guess our situation is more unique (everyone all want to lose weight except us) and maybe harder to find answers or suggestions.
