This morning I will be starting my first cleanse, I had been planning for a while now but was so nervous and scared.
I've read the tips and now I'm feeling a lot better and I think i can do this!
My family laughs at me but I see it as a healthy and 'cleanly' way of losing weight. I have been struggling with my weight for years now, and the MC seems like the way for me!
I understand that losing weight is a benefit but I'm also glad that I will be cleaning out my system.

I started my first ever 10 day master cleanse today aswell! I am rather nervous too - more that I'm scared that after all this effort I will give in and not make the whole 10 days - this site has been great though so hopefully I can find the encouragement I need to plough through!

Waking up at 6am for my salt water flush was a bit of a struggle and I ended up feeling really nauseous and vommited a little after "chugging" it down. But it wasn't a complete disaster as it did the trick!
Congratulations on taking this great step for your health!!!! You can definitley do it!!! In case you haven't been there already, there is a sticky thread with tons of info for newbies, and you can also use the search function for particular issues as they come up. The "what day are yo on and how are you doing" is an excellent meeting place for group support.

Today is my first as well! I have been planning on it for awhile but due to schedule reasons my boyfriend and I had to wait. We drank out tea last night and both did our SWF this AM. My concern, the SWF worked for him but for me nothing - at all, not from the tea or SWF, is this bad?
I am working on my lemonade right now but the pepper is making it hard, I don't even use table pepper on my food normally so this pepper is HOT!!
Welcome to you too!!! Awesome that the BF is doing it with you. As far as BM's: Yes you need to have them! As you go along, you will know how to adjust the SWF and tea to get things moving. Some things to try: Steep the tea for a full ten minutes before you drink it. SWF: try adjusting the amount of salt, try drinking another 32 oz of plain water about 15 min after you down the SWF (I always need to do this), try moving around after the water - i.e. a walk if you have the time. You'll figure it out, I'm sure!
Cayenne: if you're sensitive to it start slow. use just a little at first and work your way up as you get used to it. Also - be aware that the cayenne gets hotter the longer it's in your drink.
Good Morning everyone! I've been lurking around on the forum for about a week after my friend and I talked about doing the cleanse together. We started today along w/my 15 year old daughter. I'm drinking my first Lemonade right now and it's not bad! I'm really anxious and excited about this journey. I've read about the release of toxins and it's good to know that these effects only last about a day!
My friend and I are shooting for 21 days and my daughter 10 days it should make it a little easier having ppl doing it with you!
I'm actually on my first glass of lemonade. I think I'll have to get used to it!
I'm still totally nervous, and thank goodness im not hungry yet!
I didn't know that I was supposed to do the SWF this morning, I was only thinking of doing it tomorrow. Last night my nerves were shot and I was already in the bathroom constantly, same as this morning!!
I'm glad we'll be taking this journey together!!!!!!
I'm ready for the CLEANSE!!!

I was also wondering if it was a bad thing to make my lemonade with 1tbs of lemon juice and 1tbs of lime juice.
And is the pepper supposed to dissolve???

a big hello to terri, robbn and faerie, it feels great knowing that you are all going through the same thing at the same time! i don't know about you guys, but i'm in the UK so it's 4pm now... i went to work (i didn't take my lemonade with me because i was only working a few hours) and my tummy started rumbling towards the end but got home and starting sipping on the lemonade and it's all quietened down! haven't really been hungry or craving too badly so all is well thus far
teri, i'm sure you'll get used to the lemonade taste in no time - i wasn't a huge fan of my first glass but my fondness of it is slowly growing!
one thing for sure, the peppermint tea tastes GREAT!
i'm not sure how much maple syrup i'm *supposed* to be using - i make up the lemonade in a batch of 1.5 litres - some places i read i'm supposed to use 140ml syrup, other places 105ml?! i used 125ml today but think i'll reduce it to 100ml tomorrow as i'm hoping to also use this as a "reducing" cleanse to aid weight loss.
i also did a bit of a boo-boo by using teaspoons-worth of the lemon juice instead of tablespoons haha... i'll have to rectify that tomorrow! and i reckon i can start upping the cayenne pepper as well...
