Only lost 1 pound in the past 3 days. But I am still determined to go to 10. I am looking forward to measuring to see if the inches are coming off at a better rate.

    Congrats Miss Eva!

    I finished a 10day fast yesterday too

I lost 27lbs and am soooo appreciative for that. The first 10lbs came off in like a day...and then I lost the other 17 in subsequent days.

Now I'm going to focus on eating healthy and kicking off a whole new way of life (this weight is NOT coming back on!)

Ultimate goal is to be a size 8 by October.

So most of you know I'm anti scale aand have been desperately trying not to weigh myself this cleanse. I did, on my friend's bathroom scale in NY last week, and was surprised at what it said, pleasantly, but didn't let it get to my head or focus on it, because after all, 1. it's a bathroom scale and they suck and 2. i can physically see i lost weight and i've also lost inches so it's not like I didn't notice a difference 3. the scale won't be so kind once I eat something salty and 4. weight loss was not a goal for me doing this cleanse

Soooo... today now... well, remember I'm human...

Bad news: i broke down and weighed myself on a real scale (a gym scale). I didn't even go work out at the gym, or go to the sauna like I intended. I seriously went in there and went straight to the bathroom to use the scale.

Good news: the said 135. That's awesome because that's been my goal weight forever. I don't know what my starting weight was but it was probably between 145 and 150. My other goal was to be a size 8 and I'm definitely down inches and my size 10 jeans are sagging and my one pair of size 8 jeans are slack on me so that's awesome.

Semi Bad news: I also got a trainer to use the little holding machine thing and check my Body Fat Percentage and it said 31.4%. That's no good - it's the very high range of normal/average and is borderline obsese. Granted it's fat in good places (my hips and not my belly) I'd like to have a lower BF%. Normal body fat for a woman my age is 21-28%. Based on this site I checked out - for someone my measurements, weight and height is 26% and it should be 21% http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html So either way I'm good to lose at least 3-4% body fat.

Good news: my new goal is to lower my body fat percentage to 28% by exercising within my fat burning zone and lifting weights. I have not been to the gym in 5 or more months and haven't done much working out besides for walking so this is just the wake up call I needed.

I'm going to check these figures again when my cleanse is done and then from there out, make a plan of action. Poundds just measures weight but body fat percentage and BMI are more so about health and that's all that matters to me. So being at my goal weight but having such a high % body fat is not good enough.

I'm getting ready to start the MC this weekend and I've heard a lot about weight loss. I'm doing the MC with my roomate and we're both doing it for the benefit of being cleansed, not for weight loss. Wondered though for those who are at a healthy weight and would actually be considered unhealthy if they lost more, do you always lose weight? If you do lose weight and don't think that you should, what changes in this fast can you make?

and stop being an instigator mtmouse.

check out this body fat calculator, this one was more accurate as it matched up to the one I used at the gym today http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/
it does require a tape measure though so get one ready
