I tend to see weight loss as icing on the cake. What im reading is most of the weight is often water weight and u can get it back quickly. I just think about all the waste inside my body and i WANT IT OUT!!!

has anyone actually not lost any weight on the MC? what if you only have like 15 lbs to lose in general to get to a healthy weight? i'm 33 years old, female, 5'4", current weight 150, want to get back down to 135.
the three people i've talked to who have done the cleanse say they lost lots of weight right away, including one woman who is really thin to begin with. she said she lost 7 lbs in 3 days!!! i'm on my 3rd day and although i haven't weighed myself, i don't think i've lost any weight at all. i am eliminating every day after the SWF and peeing a lot throughout the day. and i'm following the cleanse directions to the T, with two exceptions: i'm using water that's been filtered from a brita water pitcher instead of bottled, and i'm brushing my teeth with regular toothpaste twice a day. is that what the problem is?
what's up?![]()
sf-dragonfly, did the reply i gave you earlier not adequately answer your questions?

I am on Day 4 of the cleanse. I haven't lost any weight yet. Am I doing something wrong? I had been drinking 6 lemonades daily, but yesterday I upped it to 8.
I am doing this for weight loss. Please let me know what you think.
Also, I am doing everything according to the instructions. I am doing the laxative tea in the evening followed by a salt water flush every morning.
me too! I am on Day 4 without any weight loss. What day are you on now? I am 5'3 and I weight 145 lbs., so its there to lose! Please let me know what ended up happening, or if you did something differently with the cleanse to experience weight loss. Thanks.Originally Posted by sf-dragonfly
I'm not losing quite as much as I'd like to either. I'm on day 6 and I've dropped roughly 3 lbs. I can't help but thinking that my body is in starvation mode. I'm drinking over a gallon of lemonade a day, but working out twice a day as I usually do - running, cycling and yoga. If I drink much more lemonade I'm going to be totally unproductive as my day will be spent in the bathroom. I'm not overly concerned, but it sure would be nice to drop some more weight.
Did you measure yourself to check if you are loosing inches?Originally Posted by surfkirra
I usually don't loose much weight but inches just seem to disapear fairly fast.
I have done the MC 3 times and I have never lost 2 lbs a day as Burroughs says may happen, I would loose about 3-4 lbs a week instead. But the inches are a completely different story, the first time I did it (for 20 days) I droped at least 3 dress sizes.

keropi: no, I did not measure myself...silly me. However, I just tried on a pair of jeans that definitely did NOT fit me before the MC and they do now, so I've definitely lost inches...I'll not focus so much on the lbs I guess
Thanks for your encouraging words.
Hey all!
I'm on Day 7 of the MC and like sf-dragonfly, I've been using water from my brita filter pitcher too. Also, instead of the SWF, I'm been drinking the laxative tea in the morning and before bed, I drink 3 gulps of Milk of Magnesia - I've had bowel problems all my life and I've found that no other laxative works for me but the MOM. Also I only use 4-5 tablespoons of Maple syrup, with 1 cup lemon juice. That isn't a lot of calories, but I also don't expend a lot - been spending my days more or less in front of the computer, trying to finish midterm papers.
Anyway, I'm 5"0 (tiny!) and for the past month and a half, I've been overeating (read: binging on junk)...causing me to gain about 15.5 lbs, so that on Day 1 of the cleanse, I weighed a startling 120 lbs. For my height, that is overweight. I'm supposed to weigh between 90 - 100 lbs to feel and look great, and before I started binging I was 105 lbs. So to reach my goal, I have to shed at least 20 lbs, at most 30. I'm aiming for 25 for now.
Now, on Day 7, I've lost 8 lbs - a bit disappointing, but at least some progress. On Days 4-6, I felt like giving up because my weight went practically NOWHERE. I eliminated all day long, peed all day long, and still, the lbs barely dropped! I was depressed, stressed, and my mind kept thinking about food. I had horrible cravings, for things as mundane as soup and snow peas to bad stuff like gummies and brownies. It was hard to sleep, as I kept fantasizing about food and when I did sleep, my dreams would center around various foods or how I broke the fast to eat some. Ugh, how pathetic!
It feels good to know I'm not alone...and that I'm not the only one struggling. Losing weight has always been difficult for me (slowass inborn metabolism), especially since I love junk food so much, but I truly want to change. I want to eat healthier, not crave anymore, and just be able to maintain my weight.
I honestly don't know how much longer I can handle the MC, and I planned to give up today if I hadn't lost an extra pound last night. Originally, I had hoped to lose at least 15 lbs by the end of Day 10, but now, it looks like I'll have to go longer. I know that for shorter ppl, weight loss is slower, but considering that I'd been overweight for my height when I started, I'd hoped to lose the unnatural weight faster. It hasn't happened, but I guess with patience, it will happen.
So I don't know what's gonna happen...I know I can't possibly reach my weight loss plateau yet since I still weigh more than I should at 112 lbs. I really want to stick this thru but I think if I stopped losing even a pound in the next few days, I might lose the heart to continue.
Anyway, I'll post again if I experience any problems losing weight. Til then, thanks all for just letting me vent!
Good luck folks,
Natalia![]()
