I would think that the reason you're not losing any weight is because you're not using the SWF and laxative tea. I am on day 16 and have lost about 13 pounds. It's not quite what I was expecting, but it's a lot better than nothing! If I were you, I would start using the SWF and the laxative tea and a friend of mine has told me that whenever you get to a plateau on most diets, it's good to shock your body a little and take in a little more of what you're trying to restrict. On the MC, what you are restricting is calories, although that just depends on how many tbsp of syrup you put in each glass and how many glasses you drink per day. After being stuck on 215.8 lbs for 5 days I remembered what my friend told me and then I increased the # of calories I was consuming a day FOR ONE DAY (you should only increase it for 1 day MAYBE 2 at the most to shock your system) and I broke the plateau and the next day I weighed 213.2 after the SWF in the morning and the laxative tea the night before. I would really recommend following the instructions WORD FOR WORD, which means using the the laxative tea at night and the SWF in the morning (if you can't get yourself to drink the SWF, take another laxative tea in the morning). Like I said earlier, I am on day 16 with a goal of 40! I plan to get a Jack Lalane juicer before the 40 days is up so I can transition VERY smoothly into eating normal food (I became a Vegan right before I started the master cleanse). Hopefully this has helped! I wish you the best of experiences!

Hi, I am new here, and my question is about NOT needing to lose weight but needing the cleanse. Is it dangerous if I am pretty skinny now?

I think the more you weigh, the more weight you lose (and quickly). I've also noticed that age/sex is a big factor in weight loss.

    I was 285 when I started last week, and now I'm 271.
If I was 185 when I started, I highly doubt I would have lost 14 lbs in the same time & doing the same things.

From what I can tell, this cleanse helps your body be where it's supposed to be. If you are already at a ideal body weight for your age/sex/height/etc, then I wouldn't worry about turning into a skeleton.

Don't forget that the Master CLEANSE is a CLEANSE not a diet.

It is preferable to have a slow metabolism anyway. No point putting more fuel into the tank just to have it run faster! That's called "being greedy" and also "emotional eating".

A slow metabolism burns more efficiently, with less ageing cellular waste. This means obviously not eating processed food which is of little nutritional value to the body, the toxins of which are stored in fat cells to avoid damage to the organism.

Eating light and eating raw also means that you need less (high quality highly nutritious) food in order to be satisfied and above all, healthy.

I hope that helps, even if it is not quite what this society wants to hear!

    Hi taraking,

No it is not dangerous. Like you, I am at my optimum weight and even after 17 days I have not really lost that much weight.

Our bodies are marvellous pieces of engineering and are pretty good at taking care of us, given the right circumstances.

There is so many calories in the maple syrup so if you consume the maximum amount of lemonade you will be fine.

Let us know if there is anything else we can help with or if there is anything that is bothering you.

I'm on here a lot during my cleanses - happy squeezing!

You are totally spot on Dex!

I was at a pretty perfect weight for me and have managed to stay exactly the same even after 17 days of the MC!

Last year I was way more toxic and lost a lot of weight but the toxins were released out of the fat which meant I was able to rebuild with better (raw food) materials to excellent results!

Hi Everybody...So glad I found this site. I am 29 years old. 5ft 4in and 156.4 lbs. My BMI is 26.8 so I am considered overweight. I am hoping to lose a little weight but overall I would like to be healthier. Ive been a vegetarian all of my life butI have a lot of bad eating habits. I plan on doing the cleanse for a minimum of 10 days.

This is day one for me and so far so good. Im optimistic so Im really ready to buckle down and ride this out

I'm approaching the end of day 4. I know what my starting weight was: 259 (5'10), but I don't know how much I weigh now. I tend to pay more attention to the small changes: pants bigger, smaller face, slimmer look. I feel good. I have more energy. It is amazing. I feel smaller and it makes me want to look smaller.

I have lost 17-21lbs before on the Master Cleanse. I am 5'9 and usually around 175. I lost 17lbs the first time I did it and started at 198, about 3 years ago. Got down to 181. Then did it again about 2 months later and lost 21lbs and got down to 160. But that doesn;t seem to be the same for every cleanse. The least I have lost is 13lbs. But that's when I have been lower on my weight. I am hoping to loose a ton since I am up on my weight high again around 198.
