Tis is my first Master Cleanse I am in day 7 and I have lost 14 pounds. I can't believe it. It's been very tough this thing, but worth it. I feel like I am doing something good for my body. I am however hearing very mixed reviews about Cayenne Pepper and wondering if I should stop takng it. Some Doctors say it's bad for the body and irritates it. I am taking extra hot cayenne capsules, one a day. This morning I took one and I cramped so bad, it reminded me of child birth. It passed after 20 minutes and I feel fine now, but holy mother of god...I thought I was going to die. What was that?
UPDATE: Day 25 and I am down 26.5lbs! That feels great!

Hi all! I'm starting my 3rd cleanse this coming Sunday. I can't wait! I'm definitely not doing it for weight loss this time. I have in the past, but if I lose weight, that is just a bonus. I'm definitely doing it because I know I'll feel amazing when it's over just like before! Now, if I WERE to be doing it for weight loss, I'd hope to lose 15 lbs. That's what I've been trying to lose for a while now and just can't quite get there. But, if it doesn't happen, no biggie! Won't bother me in the least. I just can't wait to have a clean system again!

I am on MC #2 and I am hoping to release some of the extra pounds I gained over the holiday's as well as a 5 week long work trip (who wouldn't eat pizza when in NYC?). I normally eat really well (mostly raw) but have drifted away from my routine in the past couple months. I am 165lbs and I am trying not to get attached to a certain number on the scale but am open to whatever my body is willing to let go of.
I hope we all get to our healthy weight!

People have commented on my slightly flattened stomach. I'll measure the inches tonight and try on some old tight pants...

hi everyone i am going to be starting the mc on the 15th i am super excited. i just finished reading peter's book and i didnt see anything about the ingredients for the vegtable soup for when you are coming off the cleanse. can anyone help me out with that? i bought peter's book without knowing about "THE MASTER CLEANSE BOOK" so I figured it would have all the answers I was looking for.
It's day 1 of my 3rd MC. I started out at 149.5, although, I didn't weigh myself until after I was done eliminating from the salt water flush. I forgot to before. But, that's ok. So, going to start at that.

Check out the raw food bulletin board on this site; there are a ton of food suggestions and anything you eat that is raw after the MC is great, more or less (after you do the OJ etc.) Let me know if you need raw food book recommendations and I'll post a couple, but this site is good for that. There is even a thread called " After the cleanse" to read, and a recipe board. Enjoy, and let me know if you need any other help.
Way to go! Is all going well with the cleanse? I am going to do this thing I just seem to be having trouble starting!!!!!! I keep trying to look for the perfect time frame....I am 5'8" and about 162 lbs... I would like to make my way down to 135 by summer so hopefully the MC will give me a healthy boost in the right direction..just got a membership to the gym and Peter's book..so I have the tools now I just need the will power!
