Thread: Weight Loss on MC

Hi, today is day 14 for me and I've lost 11.5 pounds so far. My goal is 40 days. I'm happy as I've been on a 2 month long plateau but I seem to be stalling

I started at 184.5 and was losing consistently until around day 7 when I reached 175.5. I stalled until the morning of day 11 (Monday) when I dropped down to 173. I haven't lost a pound since. This is my first extended cleanse so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. How much can I expect to lose per week at this point. I am drinking 6 lemonades a day with 1 tablespoon of the syrup (which Burroughs recommends for weight loss) doing smooth move every night and the SWF in the mornings. I was hoping to be in the 160's by the end of this week but the forecast is looking cloudy lol.

I'm also exercising pretty intensely for 30 minutes per day and I'm wondering if I should scale back to light walking. Any advise on what to expect on this extended cleanse?

I started at 168 lbs and lost to 155; and lost 14 poundsl! and my blood pressure went from 155/95 or higher on medication to 120/77 with NO meds!!

My experience was so good it almost didn't seem like I was on a fast. I couldn't drink the Salt Water so I did the Lax Tea morning and night. I didn't have any bm's past the first day or two except - liquid. I needed to do this fast so much, I believe God helped me through it! My first day off the fast, I ate 3 oranges throughout the day ... and then for dinner, veggie soup with a piece of Talapia fish. I didn't have any trouble at all. I believe what else helped me so much was that I have not ate meat in 7 years; except for the rare occaion, I would take just a little bite. And I don't drink milk or eat dairy products. I rarely ever get sick. I also take colon cleansers several times during the year. My biggest problem is sweets! But even a couple months ago, I cut way back on them too and lost 4 pounds ...I've lost 18 with this four. So, I feel like I was ready for a fast. With all this said, I'm going to try to go RAW as much as possible and try to focus on giving my body ... nourishment; instead of just eating. There is several things that this fast helped me with: I just feel better, I feel like I deflated, I can think more clearly, it helped break the habbit of just grabbing something and eating - even when I was hungry! And the most important -- My blood pressure for the past three years have stayed at 155/95 or higher; never lower - and that's on medication! During my fast, the 3rd or 4th day, I quit taking my bp medicine and it has stayed at 120/77!! To me, that's greater than losing weight, but losing weight is what probably brought me bp down! They go hand in hand!

Detox symtoms for me: Slight headaches at first, weaker, not as much energy (but not enough to keep me from doing the things I needed to), and a little quick tempered in the evening. And -- I suddenly loved cooking! I couldn't wait to cook for my family! They have certainly ate better since I've been fasting! I was just sure that they were hungry! Everything smelled so good! But, honestly, I really wasn't hungry after day 1 or until day 10! Now, I know when it's time to do another, I CAN!

Hi, All! This is a great idea. Maybe if I see my own weight in black and white staring back at me, then it will help to keep me motivated. I am planning on starting the Master Cleanse tomorrow for several reasons. I have a head cold that has been hanging on, along with some other health issues, and I'm hoping this cleanse will eliminate, or at least diminish, these problems. I also gained 35 pounds with my last pregnancy which was 19 months ago, and I have developed a lot of emotional eating habits that have grown into sugar and carb addictions. This emotional eating of the WRONG foods has led to an even greater weight gain. So I not only have the 35 post pregnancy pounds to lose, but I have now 6 more pounds to that! So needless to say the weight loss that accompanies this cleanse would be welcome, and I would absolutely love to gain control in this area of my life once again, and start eating healthy not only for myself, but for my two toddlers whom I love dearly.
So here goes: I am only 5 feet tall, and I now weigh 158 pounds. I would love to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 117.
I am taking the Smooth Move Teas tonight and I will start the lemonade tomorrow morning. Any and all accountability partners are welcome.

If anyone is ever interested, my hubby created an Excel spreadsheet for tracking weight, body fat, # of LA's, tea, etc, for me to use while on the cleanse. I'd be happy to share it.

Hi everyone, I was wondering how many glasses of lemonade/ounces of water you all drink along with your weight loss? I'm having a little trouble losing weight, even with an obese BMI. I'm drinking 6 glasses a day, and a bottle of Zephyrhills water after each glass.

Lia bia, I saw your post and wanted to ask you how many tbsp of maple syrup you're using?
In his book, Stanley Burroughs says that if you want to lose weight with the Master Cleanse you can cut back your maple syrup to 1 tbsp per glass instead of 2 tbsp. Just a thought. I know that's what I do sometimes.
    Best wishes to you!
