i am/ was in the same boat as you.
i was worried bc last mc i didn't show weight loss until day 7 so when that day came and i didn't see any changes i was concerned.
my belly isn't as flat as it was during my first mc and i do feel a little bloated sometimes. but all in all i hadn't lost any weight and i was worried i was pregnant and my body was resisting or something i donno i was just trying to rationalize it. i thought it was the swf too so i started measuring them out more exactly and i know it's not that i don't drink enough water. plus i work out every other day going for a walk or riding a stationary bike so i just didn't get it.

but, alas, on day 10 i showed some progress. weighed in and was down 3 lbs. and then today, day 12, the pants i wore on monday are slacker and i weighed myself again and down another 2 lbs. today i bought size 10 jeans! i haven't worn that size since high school. i almost peed myself. (which isn't really new for me. i almost pee myself a little too much for a grown woman)

so hang in there, hopefully you'll see a change soon.

i do plan to work out more this week and do some yoga too. i didn't do the MC for weight loss but I'll be damned if i don't eat for 20 days and don't have a reason to buy new clothes.

    peanutterb-

it is possible that working out has something to do with it? B/c on a thread about working out it seems like I read about a couple of people who were exercising but not seeing much weight loss (which isn't my main motivation, but it would be nice to lose 5 lbs). I've been working out, but my husband did not.

I remember feeling this way after I had my tubal. When you have general anestesia they put a good amount of saline into you via IV. My weight was up several pounds afterward and I couldn't fit into my jeans.

And if you push on my stomach you can totally feel all the liquid sloshing around.

    Weird.

    very weird.
i totally feel you on the liquid thing.
i dont work out as much as i used to pre mc so i can't imagine it's a big deal because i just walk or bike for twenty minutes and don't really sweat or anything. i did yoga for about 40 mins just now. it was awesome.
anyway, maybe you should stop working out and see how it's going.

hopefully you see a change by day ten!
I know how fustrating it can be.

I remember it took several days after my tubal for my weight to return to normal. I am going to do the tea tomorrow instead of the SWF. I've done the SWF every day, so, it it will be an interesting experiment to see if there is any difference. I'll keep you posted.

BTW, I am so tired. I've not been sleeping well since this whole thing started and by 8 pm I'm ready for bed. I'm gonna go make some tea!

Starting day 9 and so happy this is almost over. Been up since 2:45am. Haven't been sleeping well on the MC. Been hungry all morning, too.

Anyway, didn't do my SWF this morning and I still had a decent elimination. I was pleasantly surprised. And I don't feel so bloated and sloshy. I will get on the scale tomorrow and see what it says. My husband has been tracking my weight for me.

I didn't want to be getting on the scale every day (I can get kind of obsessive about that) so he looked at it for me when I started, a couple of days ago and tomorrow.

Can't believe I'm almost done. I could keep going, but I have a hot date w/ my hubby this weekend I have to get ready for.

    Blue,

thanks for the insight on the SWF. It's nice to hear from someone who has done it both ways. I wanted to do everything by the book the first time. And didn't have a problem drinking the SWF, but by day 6 I noticed how bloated I was. Pants were not roomier in the waist and even the ankles a bit swollen.

So, no more SWF for me this time.

i'm actually debating doing tea tomorrow because i'm over waking up at 6:30 am and since my car got stolen i am going to have to ride with my sister and she leaves at 8 am (i leave at 9/ 9:30) so that means I'd have to get up at 5:30 and my mind is saying, loud and clear, Oh HELL no!

so point is - tea tomorrow - how well does it work? how soon does it make you go after drinking and how many times does it make you go?
I've only done the tea on my first days of both cleanses and it made me cramp and go at random times and feel kinda gassy. but i wanna try it but i'd love to know what to expect.

    thanks
    and have a great one!
    happy squeezing everyone

The most accurate way to measure body fat % is under water weighting (hydrostatic weighting). But its hard to find places that do it, and it's expensive and time consuming.

The next ways are skinfold measurements and bioelectrical impedance. basically the scales that use an electric current to measure your fat %. the latter can vary by time of day, and hydration. Other moments in life (period) can vary the reading also. but it'll give you an idea.

I'm glad to hear about some ladies who weren't large to begin with still lost weight on the master cleanse. I'm planning to start on Wednesday. I'm 5'1 and about 123-124 lbs. I've been having trouble breaking the 120 mark. I did it about 2 year ago, through traditional dieting, but haven't been able to since. I definitely plan to do some running while on the cleanse. I can normally run for an hour (6 miles) no problem. My husband and I are doing this together, planning on ten days. But I think if I feel good I may go longer (maybe until my tongue is clean?) I would be thrilled to lose 10 lbs.

Today I finished my second MC- I made it to 17 days this time. I am 5'4" and weighed 160.5 on day 1. This morning I was 145.5. Planning to lose another 15 pounds to be at a good weight for my height.

I found on the days I did the SWF my stomach was more bloated and the weight stayed the same. So I opted for the tea route and started losing about one pound a day. That's what worked best for me.

Can't wait to start the OJ tomorrow! Keep squeezing those lemons- it is well worth all the effort!
