    HI Kellie, Hi Res,

    Thanks for the info on the books! I am definitely going to check them both out. I am interested as to why I have these allergies in the first place. I have heard of the Carol Alt book, but I have never heard of "the Cure", sounds promising though!

    Kellie, I was sooo hoping the MC would have taken care of my allergies, but I only did 10 days and I think I would have needed longer (it was only my first one). I have also been told that a series of colonics would do the same but to no avail. I think if I could do the MC for 20 days that I might see some improvement. Funny thing though is that when I got off the cleanse I could not wait to test my allergies out so I bit right into a baby carrot and started itching and swelling almost immediately -- I was devastated! There has to be a reason I am this way and I am more motivated now to figure it out.

    Thanks again for the suggestions. I am so thankful for everyone on these bulletins. I don't know anyone else in my life that is interested in this kind of stuff and truthfully I don't talk about it much because the people I know would think I'm being weird. But the more I learn about the food we eat and what our government has deemed "heathful" for our food supply the more motivated I am to further educate myself on real natural foods. My eyes have been closed for so long as I endured thyroid issues, skin problems, aches and pains. I always thought I was healthy because I exercised my brains out every morning and ate protein shakes, bars and eggs! I am reading and learning so much! Thanks for helping me along the journey.

    Nainai- If you could get away with smoothies by just adding lemon juice, you could do the same with purees and perhaps salsas. This would be incredibly healthy. Also, I think you would need a longer cleanse to try to take care of such a deep seated allergy. I was just reading about your type of allergy in one of my detox books. Sometimes you can rebalance your immune system to stop reacting to these foods as toxins. I'll see if I can find which book & chapter it was in. I always read everything I can on allergies because I used to have a serious problem with an unknown allergan. It put me into anaphalaxic shock twice. That's how I discovered the Master Cleanse. I was covered with hives for four months and had been sent to four doctors (specialists). I was so loaded with drugs, I'm lucky they didn't kill me. Nothing worked. Finally, I said enough. I learned about MC and have done it once a year since. I've never had an attack or serious case of hives since. I think you would need about a three week cleanse to really make a difference, but I'm not sure. (That's what I do).
    Good Luck- unless you've been there, you don't know how frightening (and dangerous) allergies can be.

    this is my first day on the cleanse and I'm so looking forward to the entire process. the one question I have thought is how long you should take the probiotics after the cleanse?

    I would love to know this info on rebalancing your immune system....My allergies are better since I got off the stuff the allergist had me on - nasal spray steroids and allergy shots and antihistamines - every now and then I might use an ALJ....however, when it comes to eggs - it's a no go. I can eat them if in a cake or something like that, but hard-boiled, omelettes, or battered in egg - forget about it! Day 16 and lost 15.4 lbs so far....WOOHOO! Fall wardrobe here I come!

    I haven't done the cleanse yet but how beneficial would it be to drink the lemonade drink for breakfast and lunch and have a salad for dinner? Would I still "detox"? Would I still release weight?

    Kira,
    I have finished my first 10-day cleanse and feel great! Everywhere I read about raw foods, I do not get an answer as to why cooked foods are toxic. I understand that many nutrients are lost in the cooking, but what cause the toxicity?

    Hi Kira;
    This website and BB is fascinating with so much information and your tips are very much welcomed. I will be doing the MC in another couple of weeks as my doctor has me doing a heavy metals detox first. I am so excited about doing the MC but in the meantime, I am filling my brain with as much info as I can and your tips were just what I was looking for about what to eat and what to do "after" coming off the cleanse. I downloaded and saved the PDF. Just wanted to say thanks so much.
