    Default Super weight loss

    Super weight loss

I have been over weight pretty much my whole life, except for a year or 2 when I was 17-19. I have recently decided enough is enough. As superficial as how I look maybe, its just a reality I would be 100% happier if I was thin and fit.

30lbs in less then 10 days!!!! That’s what I read this women did with the MC. Her secret was she worked out at least 6 hours a week and she added MP to the lemonade before the work out to keep her energy levels high. Also she was very vigilant and precise with her eliminations.

Last time I did the MC I lost about 10-15 lbs in about 15 days. That was great but I expected to lose a lot more. What I did wrong was I was sitting around the house most of the time watching TV, or playing PS2.

This thread is for people who want to really loose some serious weight, fat I mean. Not muscle. We want to burn the fat and feed the muscle right? YES!

So my start weight this time is 185.5 and my waist is 40 inches.

My plan is to get ample elimination with the dieting tea at night and a good elimination in the morning with aerobic exercise every day. I think weight training should be put off for now as I do heavy weights to build big muscles, and this means that the muscles break down and then need a lot of proteins to build up bigger. So I think toning exercises will be better for the muscles, sports like basket ball. And 30 – 45 minutes of moderate to high moderate aerobic exercise is suppose to get the fat burning system going. So I hope to do some of this also.

This is day one for me and I will hope for astounding results. Those who are hard core share your experience strength and hope here please

    Lets go!

    hey MC H!
Welcome to the BB and your MC2

how long do you plan on going for?

and don't forget to do your salt water flush, you didn't mention that in the ample eliminations paragraph

you make me feel motivated to get off my butt and go work out. i keep saying I will but just haven't. My plan is to start this week though so today is as good a day as any.

Thumbs up Re: Super weight loss

    Hey PB,

Yahoo! Yes it does, the way to burn that fat is to create a calorie deficit. From my first MC, I found out that the days I did walk around town, for work or something, were the days that I lost the most weight, maybe 1-3lbs. The days that I sat around the house were the days I didn’t hardly loose any, 0-1lbs.

There are many things at play when it comes to burning off the fat. Here are some of the main things I think.

    1 nutrition
    2 exercise
    3 weight training
    4 rest
5 elimination ( you are so right about the SWC, PB, we need, need, need it!)

I am only going share about burning fat and feeding the muscle when on the MC, because if I start talking about this subject when off the MC there is way to much to say.

Nutrition: We need to create a calorie deficit. This means that we burn more calories then we take in. With the MC this is probably always the case, so almost everyone looses weight. A lot of the time people feel lethargic when doing the MC. In the MC book, it talks about how we can take less MS if we want to loose more weight. However I think this is not a good idea. This would be like the dieters approach to weight loss. With diets, people starve their bodies of the nutrients they need in order to loose weight and of course it works. But what happens is the body starts to burn away muscle as well as fat, and this is horrible. Because at the end of the day muscle is what fires the furnace of the metabolism, and it’s our metabolic furnace the burns our fat. So the ideal, as I see it and as a lot of pros do as well is that we gota have ample nutrition and starving our selves is a bad idea for losing the fat.

    So what then?

Exercise: This is always the better way to incinerate those extra rolls. The ideal for a good weight loss program is to have ample nutrition (which usually means changing our diet when eating food) and then increase our activity. So the key with MC, as I see it is to keep the energy high and to do more exercise, this means adding MS before work outs to get that energy going. Of course it also means working out. Choosing the right kind of exercise is really important also.

At the end of the day, any activity is better then none. All activity burns calories, but only medium to high medium intensity cardio burns the fat for fuel as far as I know, and only if we do it for 30-45 minutes. If we do it longer then that we start burning other stuff. This might not be the case when on the MC because we are not eating food and the studying I have seen were done with people eating food. So I will just have to experiment with myself.

Yesterday I played about 2 hours of Basket ball, wow it was great. I took just a little extra MS before going out and I had tons of energy when playing, probably the best game I have played in a long time.

This morning at the weigh in, which I always do just on waking up after a good pee, I lost 4.5 lbs, Yipee! Today I hope to do my 30 min of cardio, which I will do on a stationary bike.

Oh yeah, how many days do I plan to do this MC… Well to be honest I haven’t decided yet. My first MC was about getting healthy as well as weight loss, so I was pretty determined to stick out the 10 days. I got to 12 though. This time I just want to loose weight. So of course it would be great if I did do the whole 10, but even if I did 5 days I would be really happy.

I have heard that we need to get past day 12 before the body really starts burning away the yucky toxins deep in the body, so ideally I would like to get past that and of course this would mean super health and super trim. But I will just have to take it as it comes. At the rate I am going, and if I can keep up the exercise and motivation just a few days is good, however more is better (if done right)… well I am just thinking about today. On day 2 now.

    MC H,

I really like your theory about using the MS for energy and nutrition and then exercising to burn off the fat. I completed MC1 at the beginning of August and plan to start MC2 at the end of this week. I used just a tad less MS than it calls for and always drank 8-10 glasses a day, and I still lost weight just fine on the MC (though I've gained back most of it now due to immoderate eating, which is one reason I'm looking forward to MC2). But I have a Tanita scale, which measures fat percentage, and my FP dropped during the cleanse and has stayed down even with the regaining of the weight, so I do think I lost fat overall and hopefully changed some into muscle.

If I were to cut the MS in the lemonade down further, I think I'd (1) feel deprived and (2) drink more, ending up with the same amount anyway.

However, I also didn't drink a lot of other stuff last cleanse (basically just extra water through lots of ice in my lemonade), and this time I'm going to really focus on water and mint tea in between drinks.

I also didn't exercise much during the last cleanse (some rebounding, some water aerobics), and this time I'm going to be at least walking every day.

Anyway, thanks again for your explanation, and it makes me feel better about not getting into "diet mentality".

Any chance I could drink less than 6 cups? It's late, I've only had 4 cups of lemonade today, and I'd rather skip the last 2 and just go 2 sleep. Last time I did that though, I lost NO weight. Harrumph.

Great to hear from ya Mtmouse. Yeah diets suck! And they don’t really work. I mean some people can take off some weight for a limited amount of time with dieting but then they just put it back on. I have been watching a lot of shows on TV about people dieting and going on weight loss programs and they all pretty much say the same thing. Don’t diet, Do change lifestyle. Its all about nutrition and exercise. Before we can do any of that we need motivation though. The fab now a days is all about 6 meals a day to boost the metabolism. Get about half protein and half carbs with each meal and keep the portions moderate. Cut out the bad fats and bring in the good ones. I have been doing this since my last MC, the shows I have been watching have motivated me and some people say watching to much TV is bad for us, and its great. Apparently there are pretty seriously great nutritionalist that say the body goes into starvation mode if we don’t eat every 3 hours. This means it starts storing fat and cannibalizing muscle. YUK!

CarmenSunshine, that’s interesting that you lost no weight from not drinking enough lemonade. Hmmm… My theories on it are this. I have heard that citrus fruit, and especially lemon juice, burns fat, or causes the body to do so, so not getting enough of it from the diet means dah dah dah… but more likely I think perhaps it has nothing to do with how much lemonade you drank but what you did during the day. Maybe you weren’t very active during the day last time so didn’t burn enough calories to create a calorie deficit. The maple syrup and some vitamins and mineral are nutrients that the body substitutes for food when we are on the MC, so the more active we are the more of it we will crave. It’s important to get these nutrients while we are not eating food other wise the body will go into starvation mode and we may get a bit malnourished. This results in gaining more weight when we come off the fast and start eating foods again. But maybe you can tell me more about your current weight and what kind of regiment in regards to activities you are up to.

one thing, I didn't work out on my last cleanse. maybe i walked one or two days towards the end. and i still lost.

i don't think working out is required on the cleanse at all. only if you feel strong enough really. You're already running on very low calories so you need to be cautious and careful with everything you do and make sure you listen to your body.

the cleanse can be very physically taxing for some so i just wanted to put that out there that you don't have to work out to get all the benefits of the cleanse.

During my last cleanse I worked out a bit, on the stationary bike, elliptical or taking a walk outside just to get my heart rate up but never to break a sweat and get tired. I found if I did this, I was too beat the rest of the day.

sweating is a way of detox but you can always go to a sauna.

and if/ when you work out make sure you drink enough water and lemonade because getting lightheaded and/or passing out are not fun.

    Wink Re: Super weight loss

    PB,

    Great stuff you put out.

I did a 30 cleanse last year in April and lost 45 lbs. I was at 250 and dropped to 205. I have recently gained 15lbs back due to herania surgery and want to start another 30 day in October.

    I am shooting for 180 - 190.

I am crossing my fingers because it is very hard to do it a second time.

Believe me because I have failed a few times going for my second time.

    Again thanks a bunch all.
