I have the worst headache ever!!!

Just started the cleanse today...have about 12 hours under my belt, and feel like I'm about to die. Do headaches go away in the morning?

hey there greg,
welcome to our bb and to the master cleanse. glad you decided to join with us and share your journey.

the headache is part detox symptom and part your body screaming at you because it's confused. no worries it will pass.
if you click on the link at the bottom of my post you'll find on one of the later pages tips on how to deal with headaches without taking asprin or anything. (all non prescription drugs are prohibited on this cleanse)
you'll also find tonnes of info and tips for newbies.

It will pass, but maybe in a couple of days.

I was very scared of the headache b/c I get migraines all the time, and ususally need excederine (it's the only pharma product I ever take) to shake it. That's in addition to what follows.

But, I'll say that it was not as bad as I expected in the first day. It was scary, but calmed down and was gone by day 3. No excederin!

Ice on head. Ice on head. Ice on head. Wherever it feels good. Allover if needed. Heat on feet, too.

If you've got a willing partner, have them massage your hands and feet, and then arms and legs. There are lines of sensitive point along your forearms and lower legs... have them press there and rub slowly toward your heart. It twinges, but helps oh so much!

Some people like temple massages, but for me it triggers terrible pain. So just know that it's not always a helpful thing.

There are oils that help to smell them. It's never been enough for me, and sometimes I can't stand any smell. But worth throwing out there. I like lavender.

Hang in there! It gets better.

I suffer from severe migraines normally and had headaches all 3 first days of my cleanse. (and I don't drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages - one cause of the headache detox symptoms Peter mentions in his book) I had to take a prescription the first night, but suffered thru it the other 2 and was glad I did. The headaches went away with the SWF the next morning. If you wake up with the kind of roaring headaches I've had you won't believe you'll feel better in an hour or two. But, I promise, it makes the SWF so very worthwhile! Because after it runs thru my system, the headache is magically gone. Of course, for the first 3 days, the headache returned in the evening, but the day was OK. It feels like a sign that the toxins are washing out of my system. Feels good! And, isn't that why we're all suffering thru the rough symptoms?
