    Question Doing a shorter Cleanse

I have 6 days including today to do this cleanse. I am going out of town on the 7th day, and that night a big dinner is planned and I will be eating normally the rest of my stay. So does it make sense to do this particular cleanse right now if that's all the time I have? Maybe I should do a fruit and vegetable juice cleanse instead and wait until I have 10 days to do the Master Cleanse. But, I find the instructions for this one easier than juicing all the time, so I'd rather do this.

Anybody with experience in this matter? Thanks for a reply.

Peter sells the books, look at the web store above. The book is very important to read.

    but here's another idea:
start having the lemonades as breakfast or lunch or both and have a sensible dinner and then on thursday night, after your dinner with your friends, have the lax tea, then do the salt water flush on friday morning and start the cleanse then as day 1.
technically those few days before friday when you do the tea, salt water and full out lemonade will be a "diet" in essesnce and will probably help your body get adjusted to the cleanse and detoxing quicker too.
    so there's an idea!

let us know what you decide.

also, something else to note that wasn't mentioned over there - doing the less of less than 10 days - you won't get all the benefits because it takes about 3 days for your body to adjust and those 3 days are the hardest and most people say day 7 is a tough detox day and everything thereafter is smooth sailing so only doing it for 7 days just seems like too much trouble not to be getting everything you need/want out of it in my opinion.

def think juicing is a good option, or the meal replacement i suggested above. but waiting is your best bet at this point.

Hi Lydia, actually you will have a MC for 4 days, since it takes 2 days of drinking orange juice/grapefruit juice to break the cleanse correctly. I would consider waiting until you can give it your full attention. What is best, is to not go back to big dinners and eating"normally", since the body needs to re-adjust to food.

    be well

Thanks for the advice. I thought that might be the case - that it takes a few days to get going, so only 4 days of the cleanse doesn't do that much. I guess, if nothing else, I'd give my digestive system a short rest, but as far as the real cleansing goes, that wouldn't really occur in these 4 days.

I'm going ahead with it for 4 days, to rest my digestive system then. And I'll do OJ and broth day 5. Then light food (salad) the first 1/2 of day 6.

When I'm back from my trip (which is 2 weeks) then I'll really start the cleanse for the minimum of 10 days. I appreciate connecting with the support here. Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: Doing a shorter Cleanse

sounds like a plan lindyla! and besides-- even if you're not getting the "full benefit" you'll get the practice-- and you know what they say about practice! I worked up to a "full" MC after trying out "juice fasting" a couple of times--for a couple of days. For some people (including me right now) that's already daunting enough! And I'm not just talking about just everyday folks, I'm talking about big time nutritionists-- who write entire books about how to work up to FASTING for ONE WHOLE DAY:

    http://www.annlouise.com/alg_ftoverview.asp

not that this was a plug for the book. If you want an interesting book-- besides Burrough's, or Peter's on the Cleanse....check out Paavo Airola on juice fasting and other things-- like how to stop HAIR LOSS!

Best of luck, sounds like you're well on your way on your healing journey!
