I second Cool Breeze here. The ice cube idea sounds appealing, and it does get the pepper into you, but you will lose a lot of the benefit doing it that way. It would actually be better to start small and work up.

I'm hating it, too. I'm choking on it. Day One.....Nine to go! How????
So I learned what happens when you mix your drink ahead of time including the cayenne pepper. You end up making "Cayenne tea" more or less. And it is HARD to drink.I found this out the other day when I mixed up a bunch of bottles in advance of the long day I had.
So this is something else to keep in mind I guess, especially if you hate the pepper. Put it in at the last possible minute before drinking. You won't taste it nearly as much. Otherwise, the cayenne leeches into the water and the entire liquid becomes infused with the stuff.

DaveK: I agree, add the cayenne right at the time you are going to drink it, and not a moment before! And don't let the drink sit around (like I did yesterday) and turn into "cayenne tea"! Horrible!![]()
What I've been doing that seems to make it more bearable, is I've been mixing the cayenne with water in a little cup and then putting in the microwave for about a minute. When I take it out I stir it til it dissolves, then I pour it into my drink. I don't know if it's my imagination, but it burns my throat less this way.

I don't really mind the pepper, it actually gives the drink flavor to me, the only thing i have trouble with is that it sinks to the bottom and when I dink it all at the end it kind of burns my mouth...is there a way to prevent this besides shaking the bottle each time before I drink from it?
I let it stay at the bottom so the drink is bearable until I get there! Then I slug it down real quickly and drink cold water.

Buy the liquid cayenne pepper at your local health food store
Sorry, JoJo,
The liquid pepper is not recommended for the cleanse.
