Thread: Salt water flush

Oh yes, been there, done that, think they definitely have a place--but not in combination with the MC. For the MC, best to simply stick with the plan: lax tea at night, SWF or lax tea in the mornings, and our lemonade throughout the day.

So I'm on day three of the cleanse and i've been using water right out of the fridge to do it, do you think i should switch to luke warm water tomorrow?

I say whatever floats your boat! Most people seem to like the flush warmer rather than cold, and I think the book suggests more or less body temperature.

But if you like it cold and it works for you, I can't see why you should change your ways!

I'm sure if someone else has a strong opinion on the other side, you'll hear about it!

    Question Re: Salt water flush

Today is day 2 for me. I took the senna/blend tea before bed last night (around 11), and watered it down just a tad, and this morning I woke up at 4:30 with some discomfort. I had a BM an hour later and as a result didn't do the SWF or an additional cup of tea. I'm all about following the detail of every direction given, but I haven't seen this scenario covered in the book. If it happens again, should I continue to try the SWF or tea in the morning or if I've already had an elimination first thing in the morning can I skip it?

Thanks so much for your help. This is my first time and I want to do it right but since my insides were already churning, I didn't feel like adding to the activities!

You must do one or the other every morning to continue with eliminations regardless if you had a BM before you take the SWF or tea!

I just started my first day of mc today. Is there a time limit between taking the swf and drinking my first glass of lemonade? I didn't wait, the swf was so horrible that I had drank about 4oz of the lemonade just to get the salty taste out of my mouth.

I think the rule of thumb is to wait at least half an hour after the SWF to have the lemonade. You can always rinse your mouth out with water after it. (Or maybe even mint tea.)

However, I doubt it hurt anything for you to have had the glass of lemonade. In fact, for me, even though I wait about an hour and a half before having my lemonade after the flush, sometimes "nothing happens" until I have the lemonade. Go figure!

But in any event, I think you're fine.

So I drank my swf at room temperature today instead of cold out of the fridge- I found it way harder to drink warm! It was nasty! We'll see if the results are any different than before (I'm still waiting for results from it). I'll keep everyone posted if there's a difference or not. If there's not, you can bet I'll be drinking it cold tomorrow!

I also have a question about this. This is my second cleanse, and I have every intention of following all steps to a "t" as well. However, I have been waking up at about 6 am after drinking the tea around 12:30 am (I work second shift) with a B.M. I then crawl back into bed for another three hours sleep it seems, usually waking up around 9:30-10 am. Then I do the swf. Is it wroing or ineffective in some way to have such a time lapse between the effects of the tea and the swf?

Also, today is only day three but just as last time, I am feeling like I am going to pass out on the toilet when the tea wakes me up. It's some painful churning going on, which is why I must crawl back into bed after the tea results. Is this happening to anyone else? Should I be concerned?

    Thanks, Sarah
