    Hi Mary,

I really couldn't tell you if it would or wouldn't work with lemon juice concentrate, however, it goes against the spirit of the cleanse. The main point of doing the cleanse is to help your body heal itself and rejuvinate itself by cleaning out stores of toxins. That's why the book wants you to use organic lemons, organic maple syrup, and distilled water-it doesn't contain any un-natural chemicals.

But, it is your choice though and I would bet that it would still work. Now whether or not it would taste good is another issue Good luck

I tried the SWF for the first time today (my first fast day) and it works, definitely! About half an hour after drinking it, I really had to go to the bathroom. An hour or so later, I had to go again.

However, I can't drink the whole quart. A quart is about a liter! I can't drink a liter of anything in one go, let alone a liter of salt water

Im on Day 15 and hadn't even been aware about the two different types of salt. The stuff I've been using doesn't say Iodized or uniodized. Under ingredients it says ...Seasalt....Hope its ok...I'll be buying a new one soon as this one is about gone.

Today is the first day that the SWF did not make me feel sick as a dog. I attribute that to the fact that I used a different kind this morning. I read somewhere on the boards that someone switched to a sea salt that did not have a non-caking additive. The salt that I was originally using had this additive and was TERRIBLE. Yucky yucky yucky. So I went out and bought one with nothing added whatsoever. WOW! What a huge difference. Just thought I'd put that up here for those of you having difficulty getting this stuff down. It can be better... ;D

i posted this under anopther topic but figured i'd re-post it here...

a word about the SWflush and the lax tea... when i discovered this fast, it was through a company called "natural ways to health". Â*they sell diet supplements (which isn't really my game - i'm into whole natural foods). Â*anyway, they list the MC in their catalog among other cleanses, and they recommend usuing their "nutri-cleanse" capsules with it. Â*the capsules contain senna, among many other herbs & extracts. Â*i started the fast with these, with little result - 1 bm. Â*
on day 2 i found Burroughs' book and read about the lax tea & SW flush. Â*on that day i did the tea & the capsules with great results! Â*next i added the morning flush, and i've been amazed at my bm's. Â*i will continue to do all 3.
    Â*
to make a long story short, if you feel the flush and the tea aren't working, i recommend adding these supplements. Â*www.naturalways.com is where you can find them. Â*you have to take 4 @ a time, 2-3 times/day.
also, someone on this board mentioned adding a drop or 2 of soy sauce to the SW to make it more palatable. Â*i strongly recommend that also.

Hi. I started the Master Cleanse last night with a cup of senna tea, and was able to drink about 3/4 of the salt solution. I was in the restroom several times over the course of the next two hours.

I've cleansed my system before, and the salt solution is the worst part of this. If you are having difficulty physically flushing out the toxins, try drinking psyllium once or twice a day. I've historically used it, and it cleans you out beautifully. I think it also works more slowly than the salt, which is jarring to many people's systems.

So far, so good. This is a great program. I like it a lot. Aside from the (usual) caffiene-withdrawal headache, I feel fantastic. You definitely have to get in a 'cleansing' mind-set for it to work.

I am on day one. I've decided not to do the swf.. i tried this a few years ago and it just was so horrible for me to drink.. :-X so I'm trying the Senna tea. I really like the taste of it.. and it seems to be working well so far. It runs through me pretty quickly. Just want to make sure that is OK.. will I not benefit as much if I do the tea instead of the Salt water?

I'm thinking that I will have a better chance of making it through if i don't do the swf.

I am finishing day 5. I feel good, and have followed the program exactly. In the book, the salt water is not mandatory. But if it isn't used, then senna tea should be consumed in the morning instead. I am using the salt water. And I will say it is easily the worst part of this for me. On the second day, it almost made me vomit; but I held it in. This morning I woke up very early, having to use the bathroom. I did, and since it was so early, I decided to have the SWF. Oh, god. It worked. I am not have the huge earth shattering movements that some describe. But it is having an effect. I feel lighter, I am in a much better frame of mind, and I seem happier. I am looking forward eating. But rather than dreaming about the SAD food I could eat, I am craving Indian food. I think its all the Cayenne, which I love. This would be perfect if it were not for the SWF. But, I do it, because I am doing something good for my body. Long overdue and greatly needed.

mc fasters should really try to get that salt down because once you go to the bathroom and that stuff comes out you feel better and better....you have to eliminate no matter what...

I've opted not to do the SWF (I honestly can't face drinking a litre of the stuff every morning), but have been taking the laxative tea every night so far (10 days). I've had no problems at all as far as BMs go - every morning I run to the bathroom and off I go. I've been feeling fine. I took one glass of the B&P shake when I first started, but haven't been drinking it since - I find the tea is fine.

Is this wrong? I'm not following the instructions to the letter, but I'm feeling fine and am moving the toxins regularly.
