    peanutterb,

You are so resourceful! I look forward to reading all of your comments that helps everyone continue on their MC journey whether it is 10 days or longer.

Yes, I too believe it is the SWF and so I didn't do it last night and might leave it off for a day or two. Guess what? I had said to myself that if I didn't notice a difference on the scale this morning I was going to quit-well this morning I was 2 lbs lighter - can you believe it?

P.S. I was able to cook dinner and breakfast for my husband and did not give in- I was tempted but didn't give in.

    Thanks again!!

    Hi all,
Question...? Can you drink the swf with cold spring water from the fridge. will it take longer because it has to heat up? will it separate because it has to warm up to body temp? It seemed easier today doing that. Also, I remember reading that Peter said you don't absorb anything from the swf because it's the same weight as blood so it goes right through. Isn't that correct?

hi cs...... I have found that the salt does not dissolve as well in cold water. Any other thoughts people?

Well, I don't know about cold or warm. I think the salt probably does dissolve better in warm. I have been alternating my SWF in the morning with the tea. I did the SWF this morning and am definitely a bit bloaty. So, I'm not entirely convinced that the body does not absorb any of the salt water. Maybe it's a girl thing, or maybe it's just me. My body is salt sensitive and I blow up like a blow fish when I have too much salt or drink (yuck) diet drinks (a diet drink sounds gross to me now, actually any kind of soda, all I really want is water - what's happening to me??? ) Oh well, it's all good. Day 6 is chugging along quite well, feel better than ever, best day yet. O happy day!

hey jennifer great to see my MC buddy! I retain salt too, the first day on the SWF my fingers got all swollen! Now it's better. I bought some senna leaf to make tea and drank it last night and this morning. Sure takes out alot of goop :P I am going to alternate with the tea and SWF for the rest of the week. Can you believe it, we are half way there! WOOHOO. day 7 for me. Yesterday was rough, but as all say, the next day is always better... amazing huh?
    Take care.

It's a miracle! Man, you are over the hump, Babe! Glad to hear from you. Glad you're doing well. I'm doing good, too. Keep the faith. Love and hugs!

Thought this was interesting, from forum on curezone.com:

I was taught about the SWF years ago by my yoga teacher who is an older Indian guy who has also been an ayurvedic doctor for years.

According to him, it's very important to use the right amount of salt (2 tsp salt/4 cups warm (not hot) water). The reason he explained is that our cells are also this dilution of salt water (like the ocean, also) - something I've read in other sources since he told me that. With water the same salinity as our cells, the cells don't recognize it as different, and let it pass right through. So, again, the correct salinity is pretty important, according to him.

To make the flush go better, faster, etc. you can do some exercises. One really good thing to do is drink the salt water while in Kogasana pose. This is also called Crow. You will be crouching/squatting. You are balancing on your feet, with them flat on the floor if possible. You can sit with your back propped against a wall or something else for balance if you'd like.

As you squat, sip your salt water. You needn't "chug" it, in fact, he recommended sipping it slower rather than faster. Also, you can massage your abdomen in a counterclockwise direction to get your intestines stimulated. Other good thing to do is exercises - light - such as yoga twists (twist your upper body around to each side) and the Cobra pose.

Here's another important ingredient: When the purge starts, sip warm water (with no salt) till it stops. You can probably also sip your lemonade. Just keep sipping. It helps push it through fast and thoroughly. Don't exercise anymore after the purge starts.

Here's an attempt to explain some exercises.

Do these exercises intermittently after drinking your water:
-Interlace your fingers in front of you. Raise your interlaced hands above your head, palms up, like you're stretching. Bend to each side 4 times each in this position.
-Stand with your legs shoulder width apart, legs straight and firm (do not lock your knees). With arms straight down at sides, twist your upper body around till you're looking over your right shoulder. Make sure you don't move your lower body, and make sure you're not just turning your head/neck. You need to be twisting in the abdominal region. Do this to the other side as well. Hold as long as you can.
-Kogasana (crow pose) again, only this time alternate one knee towards the floor and the other twisted in toward your intestines.
-Cobra pose (lying on floor, toes forward so you're on your toes. Alternate your gaze towards one heel, then the other. (so you're twisting backward again.)

Once again, hope this helps. It's (second-hand) advise from a very experienced yoga/Ayurveda expert, and it's worked well for me for years. Hope it works for you as well.

Just in case you didn't know, it is absolutely necessary to use uniodized sea salt. The flush will not work with iodized salt. :/

ok, i'm a little concerned now that i'm messing up my cleanse...i'm on day 4, i was going to do a swf today, but after reading the thread, i'm thinking maybe i shouldn't. i've been having watery bms every morning-i take magnesium at night because i can't take senna or cascara segrada-i wonder if licorice would work...anyway, the mag makes me go. i've taken it a couple of mornings as well. my bms are very watery and have been brown-today they started being more bile. since i'm watery should i not do the swf? i also massage my colon a lot to try and help loosen anything up. i drink about a gallon of lemonade a day. i've had some headaches, tiredness, a little bit of sinus drainage, soreness, and i felt sick last night, so i do seem to be detoxing...to swf or not to...that's my question...thanks so much! this is my first cleanse.
