Hi, i am on my third day and soon after I had my salt water I threw it back up. Should I have another batch or just leave it?
I'm about to start the MC but I have a couple of questions regarding the SWF.
Does the salt have to be ground up to get the correct amount of salt. The salt I have are in crystals so the amount would be different. The salt which everyone talks about (celtic sea salt) are ALSO in crystals. I tried it with the pink himalayan fine grain salt but didn't work.
Also do the spoonfulls have to be level are heaped teaspoons. As its essential to get the amounts just right a lot of the guidelines SEEM to be open to interpretation.
This is the first time I heard about Salt Water Flush. Reading the posts leads me to research on it and fortunately I now know what it is all about. Thanks
Can the SWF be taken cool, not cold, or warm, so as to not gag?
11 days and the SWF worked every time ... and quickly, too! I love it when it works. It's crummy on days when you get up early and choke down the salty water only to not have it work. But it did work this time - all 11 days, just as it should. Nice.

I mainly used salt for the teeth and next to flush. Salt has been very effective on both, I just had some problems regarding the amount of salt, since I feel like it causes my tract infection but the doctor says it doesn't. So far, salt really flushes click here for more information or maybe you can find the indicated treatment for your problem.

Some people gag on the taste. It's much easier to take if you use the uniodized sea salt that Burroughs says to use. My wife recommends using a straw so that the taste isn't so strong.
Hi! I am on my second Master Cleanse, the first was for 14days back in February & I started the current MC 8 days ago where I will go for 10.
If I am inspired maybe more.
Salt water flush
I find that it isnt the non-eating that is the hardest, but the salt water flush. I gag, gag & gag some more but I followed the advice by others who have contributed to the forum & what I read in Peter's MC book. Its ONLY by drinking through a straw with COLD salt water that I manage to get it down.
I simply can't wait until that part is over so I can get on to drinking lemon drink! I heard of some other cleanses that advise luke-warm salt water. I hope I am not compromising the cleanse by having it cold? The eliminations happen as described in the book so I assume that is ok? Just want to check.
My MC experience
The first time I did the MC I was amazed at how relatively easy it was (except the saltwalter flush). I have regularly fasted 1 day at a time but found it difficult. On the MC I had some food cravings but what I missed most was chewing but I wasn'r really hungry.
My friend in Australia is doing it with me this time but she broke it & had bread (?!) :-( I quoted from Peter's MC book about not following strictly. She has sugar & blood pressure to think about so I told her to play around with the maple syrup dosage. But I havent heard back from her. Still she says she has lost 2kg in 4 days & as weight loss was her aim (mine is detox) she has achieved her goal. But bread? I have told her that if she must eat- not cooked! & to go to this website for inspiration.
One thing I would like to share is that after doing the first MC, I was able to digest cabbage for the first time without problems afterwards! Both cooked & esp. raw- now I can have green smoothies, coleslaw salad etc.! :-D I went 70% raw after the first cleanse but when I started working & got home late, my husband cooked so I slowly went back to cooked food. Organic is atrociously expensive over here in Denmark, esp. in winter but I try where I can (MC ingredients are organic). Plus we have started growing veggies in our back yard so hopefully we get better at that & supply our own greens.
This time around my realisation is that I eat not out of hunger but routine or bordom. I am buying smaller plates/bowls so that I can try & prevent over-eating when I finish this cleanse. I am in the higher end of 'normal BMI range' but can do with at lose 5-6kg & I am a low-lacto vegetaran. I eat alot of home-made indian inspired food with spices which, even though contains little oil, has many carbohydrates. The dhal/ lentils is my main source of protein which I cook in soups & vegetable+rice stews. This is a bit heavy to have of an evening which is why I want to eat more raw but considering my husband isnt into raw, it would be hard for me to go back to 70% raw again so 50+% is my goal after this which is acheivable for me in my situation.
Grade B Maple Syrup?
I cannot get so-called grade B maple syrup. The only organic available is a danish packaged sort which is golden brown coloured but at least it is organic. Such a shame that no food goods can be sent from the US, otherwise I would order it from there. Still I have energy but I am not clear on what the other benefits are of using GRADE B syrup....
Thanks Peter & everyone in the forum for the inspiration & information. Many of my facebook friends are shocked when I write I have fasted 10 or 14days & come with all sorts of admonitions & concerns. For many, fasting is extreme. As I work in the medical profession I am aware that fasting for 10 or so days is not a death sentence- esp. considering the liquid we consume! :-)
