If the only ingredient is sea salt, what's the difference between brands besides the ocean it comes from? I may just do the tea laxative morning and night. Is there really that big of a difference doing the SWF? Does the tea lax not get everything out? maybe i'll do the SWF every second day. Ugh... does it ever suck!

Ok, i bought some grey sea salt. This stuff is not purified and totally natural. It's not white like the purified stuff... it's grey! (of course) I'm hoping this goes down easier. I'll let you know tomorrow

Thanks Res, I ordered some online! I am now impatiently waiting for my order I also ordered a 64oz jug of maple syrup because it was a lot cheaper online.

Well, the grey sea salt is SLIGHTLY better, but it's still disgusting. It seemed to take longer to go thru me also. 1.5 hrs this time. That's not good for when I start work on Tuesday. I'm gonna have to get up really early i guess, ugh! ARe you supposed to wait until you pass the salt water before having your first lemonade? I suppose it's logical to wait until you pass the salt water since drinking the lemonde would mix with it and change the salt ratio. Right?

I just wanted to say that on the taste - when I did my last MC (starting a new one tomorrow), I could. not. stand. it!!! blech! But it really helped me to drink it warm, and think of it as soup. Not that it really tastes like soup - but for some reason, it just made it possible for me to drink it if I thought, "I am drinking soup." Rather than, "GROSS, I am drinking really salty water!"

I'm definitely going to try adding a dash of soy sauce as I read that Peter does, that will help with my soup illusion!

Kirsten: The liquid stool is what we call "butt pee". It's normal. You may want to use our "Search" feature at the top of every page. Type in a word or two and you'll be taken to pages worth of info on things you may not be sure of. Also, General Help for the Newbies addresses a lot of questions you may have.

SuperT: We advise against what you're doing with the salt water - it's your call but I wouldn't do it. Yes, the salt should be dissolved before drinking.

iron arm: I'd say keep doing the swf and tough it out. And yes, the salt makes ALL the difference in the world. Celtic gray sea salt is milder. Just like any other products claiming to be the best, some are inferior - I used Hain Sea Salt (which looks just like regular table salt) at first and when I changed to the Celtic Gray (it's actually moist and grey) I had NO problem with the swf except for the fact that its a mind game to swallow 32 oz of any kind of salty water. But the benefits AFTERWARDs are so worth it. Hang in there - you can do it! Keep in mind that this is "detox" and it's not pretty.

Kat: I can guarantee you that Peter does "NOT" use soy sauce. It's not allowed on the true Master Cleanse. Stick to the ingredients in the book.

Thanks Res, the grey salts are milder. I don't have celtic but i'm guessing all grey's are similar. I'm on Day 3, did the SWF again. I'm actually getting a little used to it, but dont get be wrong, it's still horrible. I down 16oz and take a couple mins break and then do another 16oz. It hurts a little to fit 32oz all at once. Should I wait until I pass the salt water before my first lemonade?

    Question Re: Salt water flush

So RES- you're saying not to dilute the salt water to a concentrate with warm water and drink plain water after or alternately?
I dilute the salt in 8 oz of hot water and then drink the 32 oz. of plain water right after.
    This is no good?

You are right: it is no good.

The entire amount of salt (2-3 tsp) should be dissolved into the entire 32 oz of water before you drink the SWF.

Hold your nose if you have to. Or heat it up. Or chill it down. Put it in a pretty glass. Use a straw. Just get it down.

    Good luck!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! today is officially my first day on the cleanse. I have a question. If after drinking the initial 32 ounces of saltwater nothing happens, can you drink more saltwater? Also, can you do the salt water flush and drink tea in the morning ??? Let me know! Thanks! support and good luck to everyone.
