You just answered my question. I am on day 3 and I had probably 5 times the elimanation today after the salt water flush than the first two days. I did add a little more salt, but not much. ANOTHER QUESTION- I am using distilled water. Do you know if this is OK? The guy at the health food store suggested it instead of spring water. Please let me know what you have heard. Regardless, I feel great and had more energy on my first two days that I have had in years.

    Thanks,
    Ras

I wake up early in the morning but am immediately busy getting my boyfriend and daughter ready for work and school. Today is my first day of the cleanse so I drank the herbal lax tea last night. I decided to wait until after I dropped my daughter off at school to to the SWF to avoid any problems with the usual morning routine. I didn't drink (or eat obviously) anything before the flush. Do you think there are any problems starting the day this way since I was awake for a couple of hours before the salt water? I can't even remember if I did it this way the last two times I did the cleanse or if I got up and did it that early in the morning.

    Hi there!

We do not recommend using distilled water. Spring water is preferable.

    Have a great cleanse!

Hey all! I'm new to the thread, but on Day 9 of cleanse!!! There's no way I could have done it if not for my roommate/best friend doing it with me! Its amazing how much "junk" comes out of you, after 9 days of not eating! We did the saltwater the first day, and had amazing results, but Days 2 and 3, neither one of us had movements. So we switched to doing the tea everynight and morning, and felt better. We decided to do the saltwater again this morning. She had great results, I went only a little. Should I do it agian in tomorrow on Day 10, or just do the tea again? Also, I was thinking of doing the tea this afternoon since I've barely had a movement since 7am before the saltwater.... would that be OK? Thanks!!!

Hi, today is my 2nd day and I did the SWF this morning for the first time. I had a really bad time with it and dont ever want to do it again.
I dont know if it just reacted bad with me or if you all are just alot stronger and can take it but I dont think I can. I shiver just thinking about how horrible it was.
I made 32oz of warm water with the two teaspoons of salt and had half of it down within about 15-20 minutes, a few minutes later, I ran to the bathroom because I felt like I was going to get sick, just wasnt sure which end it would come out of. Over the next two hours of continous buttpee and like 8 non stop trips, I am finally able to sit still for a few minutes without having to run back to the bathroom. Besides the fact that it took so long to get it out and so many times, I feel sooo sick to my stomach. Theres no way Im drinking the rest of it, my stomach really hurts and feels queasy. I can hardly gag down the lemon drink or even water. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi Misfit: What kind of salt did you use? Other people have posted about feeling really nauseated after using regular table salt for the SWF (not knowing that's the wrong kind to use). Uniodized sea salt is the kind to use. Also, gray celtic sea salt has a milder taste than regular sea salt...I tried it after reading about it here and wouldn't go back to regular sea salt.

The SWF has a variable impact on me. Some days it works well...some days not. And, one day it left me feeling nauseated and "out of it". So I don't always do it. It's okay to take the laxative tea in the morning (to replace the SWF) as well as in the evening, if you can't tolerate the SWF. I've also read here that some people find the SWF is easier to tolerate after they're past the beginning stage of the MC. It's very cleansing to your digestive tract and washes out the toxins as well as detox symptoms.

Hi Rain, yes I use uniodized sea salt, its in a large blue cylinder container and has like a pic of the ocean on it. (I feel too sick to get up and go to the kitchen atm or Id look for the name lol) I just hope this feeling goes away, its pretty nasty. Thanks for your response.

Hi Misfit: I'm sorry you're feeling so crummy, especially when you have to take care of an active 15-month old (I read you post on the other thread)...not fun! The day I felt nauseated from the SWF, I slowly started feeling better in the second half of the day (although I didn't feel as bad as you do).

Although everyone is different, the first 3 days of the MC are usually harder (but you're already more than halfway through that part!). Maybe you're experiencing a bit of that, overlaid with a really bad reaction to the SWF (I'm impressed that you started getting buttpee just 20 minutes after you started drinking the 16 ounces of the SWF...that's fast to me!). I'm guessing you should feel better when you wake up tomorrow (if not sooner?). Hang in there!

You should be good as long as you are doing it on an empty stomach. Sometimes on my day off I get involved on the computer for a few hours before doing the swf.
