thank you, peter! i will try again.

another question - i felt so-so this morning, back ached quite a bit, and then by the afternoon i felt great - post gym. but around 3:30 (this happened yesterday, too) i started to feel tired, weak, kind of headache-y - is mid-afternoon a common period of detox? if so, is there anything i can do to prevent those mid-afternoon crashes? i took a nap and now i feel better - i'm a musician and have a show tonight, so i have to pull it together and get some energy...drinking lots of water and lemon drink...and hoping to feel great shortly!

    thanks,
    terra

You haven't mentioned how many lemonade drinks you're drinking per day, but my first question is are you drinking enough lemonade/water during the afternoon? You should be drinking one ounce of lemonade/water for each 2 pounds of body weight. (75 oz. if you weigh 150 pounds)

Tiredness is one of the symptoms of dehydration.

The next question is which day are you on? Days 2, 3 and 7 are the toughest and some tiredness (a detox symptom) might be expected.

The full list of detox symptoms is in my book, Lose Weight, Have More Energy and Be Happier in 10 Days.

Peter, I am on Day 2. I drank my SWF this morning. . . and with only 2 oz. to go, I threw it all up. I was really disappointed! My friend got hers down & had a great elimination this morning.

I took a 2nd SM laxative tea after throwing up the SWF. My friend told me she chugged hers in about 5 minutes. I had drank mine over about 30 minutes. . . do you think that made a difference? Of why I threw up? Should I just try again tomorrow?

    THX, Sarah

I have had the same problem from day 1 through day 5. I am wondering if this is normal. The yellow is pure bright yellow, the same color as a lemon!!! I just added the senna laxative tea last night and didn't have that bright yellow on the first results from the laxative tea, but when I did the salt water flush, there it was again! I wish I could say I only had 30 to 45 minutes of toilet time. With the senna laxative tea, I sprang out of bed at 5:00 am and dashed to the john and stayed there pretty much about every 15 minutes until 11:00 am. Tonight there was a bowel movement not as urgent, but with some really real weird looking solids. What have I got growing in my gut? Also I have not lost any weight. In fact, the first day I gained a pound and a half and I am stuck at the same weight throughout. With the exception of some headaches and a sore behind (from some burning eliminations), I am feeling rather well. I am 60 so I have a lot of misbegotten dietary years to overcome! Plus recovery from alcoholism plus being an ex-heavy smoker. Is there any explanation for this yellow diarrhea?

    peter,

i'm brand new to the cleanse and i'm struggling...i'm sure you've answered this question tons of times before, but i can't seem to find the answer. my question is.....i'm having terrible terrible cramps with the laxative tea (to the point where i considered stopping the cleanse and i'm pretty committed to it), but i can manage the salt water flush. can i just do the flush with no laxative tea at night? second question....should there be any solid elimination during the day? i only have the bright yellow watery elimination...thank you sooo much for your advice (i appreciate this site!!) ;D

The bright and sometimes florescent looking yellow is bile from the liver I am told. Not sure how long it is supposed to be happening, but I am on day 6 and still have tons of it.

As for the Senna tea - I cannot use it (straight). I have been using another tea that contains senna from another cleanse - KleriTea by Dr. Natura. http://www.drnatura.com/8885.php

I don't have severe cramping - just a bit that wakes me up in the morning so I go drink the SWF right away (I think I hold the world record for downing it) and the cramps go away immediately.

Also - make sure to drink lots of water. I helps the weight loss...

    Hope this helps.

Good tip on the tea and drinking water.

The bile has always continued throughout the cleanse for me. I always considered it was proof the liver was detoxing because bile is one of the ways the liver gets rid of toxins!

    Hi Everyone,
Since today is my 12th day that means so far I have drank a coulple of gallons of SW. Here is a couple of tips I use to make it easier.
    1. Always make it in a jug that holds more than 32oz. I then add an extra 2oz of water and an extra touch of salt. Make sure you mix well. I seems that the last 2 oz are the hardest to drink, so now you can throw out the last few mouthfulls and still have got the full amount.
2 Prepare everything on your counter the night before so in the morning you can stagger out of bed , mix it up and chug it before you are truly awake.
3 Pick a focal point (I use a birhouse outside my kitchen window) and put your attention on the object while drinking. Study the object the way a scientist would, notice the color, the size, the texture etc . Before you know it you will be standing there with an empty jug.
    4. I hate cold things , so I add a few oz of boiling water so that is it not such a brutal shock to my body.
    5. Take a few quiet minutes everyday to relax take a couple of deep breathes and visualize all the benefits the SSF gives you. See all the toxins being released by all the cells in your body being swept away by the salt water.
    6. Use the power of your mind. Think of SW as a magic potion that you GET to use, not something you Have to do. How you think of things has a lot to do with how your body will accept it. Change your mind and your body will follow.

Hope this will help all of you who are stuggling with the salt water portion of this cleanse. Power thru cause the results are worth it.

Wow great advice! I did my first swf today! I'm on day 5 and it was nasty! But it worked! And I thought it was pretty cool because I'm a little bit of a whacko! Thanks again for the advice.
