Today is my 1st day on the Master Cleanse. I'm very excited about the new and healthier me that will emerge from this experience! I have read most of the book but can't get entirely through it because I keep re-reading most of it! It is full a lot of great information! However, I mixed up the SWF exactly as directed in your book. At first, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as bad as it seemed in the book...then I got about half way done and had this uncontrollable feeling to vomit. I continued to try and drink it but to no avail...it started to come back up. It has been about 30 minutes since I drank half of the SWF and I can already feel things moving. Should I continue to try and get as much down as I can and hope it is enough or just switch to drinking the laxative tea morning and night?

Hi everyone. I am on day 5 and doing great.

I did the SWF for the first time yesterday - I waited because I knew that it often doesn't work right away and I didn't want my body to absorb all that salt. It worked perfectly yesterday, but today it is not doing anything at all...Part of the problem may be that I eliminated PRIOR to instead of AFTER doing the SWF this morning...That's just how it happened, prob a result of last nights Senna...so now the salt water is just sitting in there not going anywhere soon...I took it over 2 hours ago. The other issue may be that yesterday I took a rough estimate of 2 teaspoons and today I measured it out carefully using measuring spoons...thing is, it was a lot less salty today than yesterday.

    What should I do?

Should I be concerned about my body absorbing all that salt?

Should I drink more of it now to get things moving and get that salt out of there?

Should I stick to the measured two teaspoons or go a bit higher, which seemed to work yesterday?

    Thanks all!

    Hi Vilibere,
I had a day that nothing happened with the SWF, but the next day I just added a bit extra and everything worked fine again. I don't think that you are supposed attemp to flush more than once a day.

Hey everyone! I am on day 4 of my second master cleanse. I only did the swf a few times on my last cleanse and it didn't work! I am now on day 4 of my second cleanse, been drinking the tea morning and night and have eliminated a little... not much at all though. Maybe once a day and not very much. I have had gastro problems in the past so maybe thats why? I really want to get the full benefits of this cleanse..... I am 150lbs, drinking about 6-8 cups (10oz each) per day. I didnt have much elmination on my last cleanse either. I only did 10 days last time and I am shooting for 14 this time... glad to be here! Good luck to everyone!

Just wanted to give a quick update, nothing ever happened with the SWF on day 4, but I'm on day 5 now and the SWF worked as expected this morning ( my body seems to need more than just 2 precisely measured teaspoons).

    Question Re: Salt water flush

yeah, speaking of which.. I don't get it... some places I 've read that the salt / water ratio is a perfect balance w/ the 32 oz. water because of the weight of the blood.... etc... etc... ( Hope I said that right)....
and that we should NOT mess w/ changing the ratios, and that changing it coud be dangerous.... so WHY then are we changing it... and just how much can we???

I'm on Day 9 and doing good. I want to continue, but without the SW Flush and just with the lemonade. I guess this would mean I'm not cleansing anymore. Are there any 'ill' effects on this course of action?

    katiebeth527 - the concentration is 2 teaspoons in 32 oz/ 1 quart/ 4 cups of water.

some people's bodies need a little more or a little less salt, which is why if the swf doesn't work the first few times, they need to find the specific concentration for their body.

    - you will probably feel ill because you're stirring up toxins but not flushing them out.

Please take some time to read the General help for Newbies thread for more info.

I have found that the 'flush' really works best for my body with 2 heaping tbsp but that took a few days of trial & error.
Every body is a little bit different.
