Thread: Salt water flush

This is my third cleanse and I've always been at odds with the SWF. I tried laying down on my side between trips to the bathroom today and it really helped. I also massaged my belly from the right to the left. It seemed to make the SWF kick in faster. I had morning Doctor's appointment, so I was relieved at its effectiveness.

I tried using a straw this morning for my SWF. It really helped.

The results were pretty amazing. In some ways, it was my first complete SWF on my MC this time. Last time I had no serious trouble with it. Looking forward to washing out more gunk tomorrow.

In Burroughs book under directions for the Internal Salt Water Bathing, it states that it is ok to take extra water. "This often increases the activity" So I would think immediately after

I have just started the MC for the first time today, and I have found that drinking the salt water is a lot easier if you can focus your thoughts on something positive. I know it sounds a little out there, but the whole time I was drinking it (and fighting my gag reflex) I was picturing what good it was doing for my body and that this is a small price to pay for being so much healthier. Thinking of the goals you have for your body give you more willpower.

izzi - i believe the same thing. if you approach something thinking it's going to be hard and you won't like it, that's exactly what will happen. thinking positive leads to being positive.

On day one I thought it was never going to improve. On day two it was better. Day three, better still.

Last night I tried to talk myself out if doing the SWF this morning, but luckily I have this forum to remind myself why I'm doing it. And guess what? This morning was the easiest ever.

Wow - thank you lynnjackson! This morning I did the SWF (my least favorite part of this cleanse) - While I was feeling really icky and waiting for it to kick in, I found your message with these excercises, and I was amazed....after this one, I ran to the bathroom:

Exercise 1 - Rub your stomach with the palm of right your hand clockwise 21 times and counter clockwise 13 times.

I lost count how many times I've been in there this morning - I think 7 or 8 times....whew....gonna be a bit late for work...but I feel so much better and cleaner now. Yay!

Red face Re: Salt water flush

today is my first day of my first cleanse. im really excited about this but man that SWF is grody... my tummy gurgled for a while but nothing happened and now i feel really bloated. im at work and just kinda relaxing waiting to see if anything happens. i drank senna tea last night, i think i'll go brew a cup now too...

i might note that i have been a little constipated the last two days due to bad eating habits on a camping trip. in my defense, i usually eat pretty healthy. im guessing that the SWF is taking longer because of the existing constipation.

hey marielle - it takes a while for the swf to work for some and especially since you said you were previously constipated, that would have something to do with it. so don't stress it too much. For some it takes 4 days to work. But when it works, it works.

Read the General Help for Newbies thread for more tips and advice.

if you do the SWF in the Am only drink the senna tea at night again, not during the day. Try water.
