I just did the SWF for the first time this morning. I'm on day 2 and had the lax tea last night. I used sea salt and hot water, let it cool for a bit and drank the entire quart with a straw in about 30 minutes. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be either! I was done drinking at 9:30am, was in the bathroom 10 minutes later! Its now 11:30am and I just had my first glass of lemonade.

    Question Re: Salt water flush

Since I ended my cleanse 9/11, I ate well for a little while, but just recently started eating more my "old" way. Not that it was horrible, but I've eaten more meat, had pizza, and more dairy than I've normally have. I also just found out that I am pregnant... so my question is. I know that I'm VERY full. I've had regular BM's but not as hearty as they were when I ate predominately raw. Can I do a SWF to clean it out? It's very noticeable. My stomach is extended more than usual and it's too early for me to be showing. I feel VERY bloated.

    Hi lovejones596 -
Congratulations!! on your pregnancy! That's exciting.

I'm not sure about the safety during pregnancy - especially if you're in your first trimester. You have to be especially careful then. But thought I'd mention that Peter and his wife do the SWF the morning after big meals on occasion, so sure it's done. But I'd be especially cautious in the early days of pregancy. Why not check with your doctor?

Well now that you know you are pregnant I would question doing SWF during pregnancy.

lovejones, I agree about not doing the swf right now. Perhaps try psyllium to help promote bulk. That's not like the wonderful flushing of the swf but it is something.
have you been drinking enough water? and cut back on salt and whatever foods are making you bloated (dairy etc).

Thanks ladies, just thought I'd ask. I figured that I shouldn't. I do have psyllium. I guess I'll try that. I've been good on my water. Not as much as before being prego, but still good. My problem now is that I have no desire for anything raw. My body wants meat, dairy, prepared food, etc., everything that I have avoided or had little of for the past 3 months.

Oh well, what can ya do....

    Thanks again,

I have to go to school in the mornings, and I'm worried about doing the SWF and not having enough time to eliminate before having to leave for school. I was gonna get up like an hour earlier in the mornings, but I've been reading that some people eliminate for 2-3 hours after the flush. And I have problems using public restrooms, so thats not helping either.

Would it be alright if I did the SWF when I come home from school? I get home at 11:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 12:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I wouldnt drink the lemonade drink from the time I woke up until I did the flush. Would that be good?

    Kenny,

No, the SWF has to be done first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach.

However, you can do the lax tea in the morning as well as in the evening. The results take longer to act (and may require going to a bathroom in the middle of the afternoon), but they are easier to control and you have more warning.
