I have just finished my 10 day master cleanse. Â*I started Feb. 1 and have lost 20lbs. Â*People at my job were commenting on how different I looked. Â*They could not tell what it was but they could tell something had changed. Â* I was feeling great until day 12. Â*On day 11 drank fresh squeezed OJ getting ready for food on day 12. Â*That night I started getting a sore throat and cold symptoms. Â*I thought this can’t be right. Â*I must admit that my tongue still felt fuzzy. Â*I thought I must still have toxins coming out. Â*Before the cleanse I had a lot of mucus in my chest. Â*At night I could hear myself wheezing and coughing. Â*Sometimes, before I started the master cleanse I would use an inhaler to loosen the flem so I could sleep.
Since going on the master cleanse for 10 days I have had a major shift in the way I think about food. Â*I switched over to a raw food diet. Â*For the past 2 days day 13 and 14, I have been having OJ for breakfast, and a nice salad of lettuce and veggies sprinkled with olive oil and apple cider vinegar for lunch and dinner. Â*What a better time to change diets then after the cleanse. Â*Thus I am sure my body is still detoxing but at a slower rate. Â*I was a person who would drink 2 or 3 double lattes per day. Â*I ate tons of cheese on everything and allot of bread. Â*
Right now I feel like I have a flu or bad cold. Â*Headache, coughing, mucus, stuffy nose the works. Â*Is this chest cold symptom normal? Â*Is my body trying to rid itself of the mucus? Â*Please tell me your experience with this mucus problem. Â*Thanks

dear makaroo!

I think you hit the nail on the head-- with that interpretation: ie you're probably STILL DETOXING! Come join us on the "2006 What day are you on and how are you doing? " thread-- I think people would love to hear what you have to say, and, if you read through old posts-- I think you'll find your suspicions confirmed from what other people have to say! For a lot of us (I'm no day 37 now) some of the heaviest detox has happened POST day 10-- and your body can't just stop detoxing ON A DIME!

Best of luck, sounds like your 10 days were already phenomenal, and now you've been initiated to the CLEANSE!

I know I read it somewhere that if you have trouble coming off the cleanse to do it for a couple more days and try again. that may help... that and doing a SWF or two... Gradually go into eating again...

that's what I really like about this BB....you can never have enough information and others always manage to find things that I would never have stumbled on....

thank you again....
